I was in Scottsdale on business and ate at Citizen Public House one night and it was amazing - like one of my favorite restaurants ever. The chop salad is to die for and I had the scallops which were incredible. The dry heat margaritas were the best we’ve had and a colleague said his old fashioned was the best he’s ever had (and he’s picky). It was so great we went back again the next night and everything was as good as night one… the meatloaf was incredible. I highly recommend and will be back there again as soon as I possibly can.

That said, the noise level detracted from an otherwise excellent evening. Unfortunately, we were seated near a group of rowdy younger patrons who spoke quite loudly, making it difficult to fully relax and enjoy the meal.

Overall, if you’re looking for high-quality food and great service, Citizen Public House is worth a visit—just be prepared for a lively crowd, especially during peak hours.

Service and atmosphere are wonderful- they go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of.

The mocktails were excellent- I could have drank several.

The pork belly app melts in your mouth, truly a treat. The short ribs weren’t my favorite and gave too much smokey flavor that really overpowered the natural delish taste of the dish.

I would venture back in again but not for the short rib.

Very good food. Particularly enjoyed the chopped salad, bread, and bananas foster bread pudding. Nice ambiance but not stuffy.

The food quality here is always exceptional, but I wish the service could meet the same standard. We all know the noise can be a bit overwhelming, and despite the effort with a few carpets, it doesn’t seem to help much. However, when the service starts to slip, it really affects the overall experience. I hope they can bring the service back to the high level we’re used to.
