My friend had been here a few months ago and loved it, so we went to celebrate his birthday. We parked in one of the carpool spaces since there were five of us. They do not take reservations, so we arrived before the dinner rush and only had a short wait. After giving our name and phone number, we were seated quickly at an outdoor bench. It was a chilly day, but the outdoor heaters made it comfortable.

A menu is provided, and there is also a QR code on the table for easy ordering. You can order separately or combine checks, which is very convenient. They even have a menu for dogs!

Everything we ordered was delicious!! I'm so glad we went in a bigger group - we got to try a variety of dishes and still have room for their yummy desserts!! 😊 At about two hours, the staff kindly let us know it was time to wrap up. We were already done, so we just paid the bill. As we left, we saw a long line of people and even more people waiting in the overflow area. It's easy to see why it's so popular. We'll definitely be back!

I loved, loved, loved this place. This is such a unique restaurant in the middle of Portola Valley, which also feels like the middle of nowhere. It transports you back to early 2000s. The space is huge with a covered restaurant and also a very large outdoors beer garden. We went on a Tuesday evening and it was packed. The parking lot is huge, but still finding parking can be a bit of challenge. The atmosphere is very bright and cozy. The tables are rustic and took me back to beer Gardens in Germany. The selection is pretty large, but I went with a margarita, which was great. The craziest part about this restaurant was how quickly the food arrived. I don’t know if they were using predictive modelling, but our food for the entire table, which is at least 10 dishes arrived within five minutes of placing order. Everything tasted delicious. They known for their pizzas, which are superb. I had the one with buratta and it was so good. The pork ribs were divine and so were the meatballs in Marinara sauce. So moist and succulent. The prices are reasonable.

Another cool aspect to this place is history, and this place has been open since mid-1800. They are also credited with being the birthplace of Internet, which is a little bit contentious to be honest with many different versions on the web. Nevertheless, a fantastic restaurant.

I loved visiting this place. One of my friend suggested the place and we went during weekend so there was plenty of ppl at the time. We wanted to wait and get our seats so we waited for 30 mins. They don’t accept online reservations.
We had pizzas and sandwich, both tasted good.
Vegetarian options are less but you can visit this place for its vibe. Perfect for friends meet-ups or post office meet ups.
Very friendly staffs.

Went for lunch, had pizza and smash burger and they both were amazing. They have pretty good beers on tap. Its overall a nice place to hangout with big group as the picnic tables can accommodate that. Parking can be an issue during peak hours. But we hot lucky.

Not many photos this time around, but my cousins and I (8 adults, 1 toddler, 1 baby) stopped by during lunch hours a couple Sundays ago. This is certainly not my first time here, but I forget how great it is every time.

It certain is a hidden gem! This place is up in the woods. Despite this, it does get fairly busy. Our group was seated within 45 minutes, which is typical for this time of year and size of group. I love the huge selection of foods, drinks, and setting. Be aware that the outdoor seating is covered in tanbark, so not the best for scrollers, but certainly great for families! I love the picnic tables and casual vibes with heaters.

We ordered a wide range of foods, but the hits were the sliders with bacon jam, pitcher of margarita, cheese bread, mushroom pizza, and brussel sprouts!

I genuinely love Alpine Inn so much. It's great for warm spring/summer days and can't wait to come back.
