Great location, views, and staff. Deana greeted us warmly and was extremely accommodating. She also helped us when the rooftop lounge forgot about our food order and we didn’t have time to eat before our event. The housekeeping staff was also friendly and helped us figure out how to turn use the sink 😅. I agree with some of the other comments about functionality and design of the rooms, but it worked well for a stay as a couple. Would definitely stay there again.

It’s a nice hotel. We had a great experience with Ashley at the front desk. Not too many other great things I can say about it considering how expensive it was. Having to take the elevators in 2 locations anytime you want in or out is also really not ideal. They don’t have any room service. The breakfast buffet downstairs is decent but the price will blow your hair back. 35 a person plus some nonsense service fee. Was about 130 bucks for 3 people. And they wanted a tip at the end too. Room cleaning was OK. But it’s really frustrating as a guest when you staying there multiple days. Because we left all day and got back at about two or three. They still haven’t cleaned our room. The front desk told us they have till four to clean it. Again, not a huge issue, but it is a huge issue when you consider the price of this hotel. It’s dying to be premium and wants to charge you those prices, but it isn’t. I can’t really recommend the hotel. I also wouldn’t really recommend staying in this area. There is nothing around in terms of amenities or anything. So if you want something, you need to take an Uber or order it in. Which is really irritating considering you have to take two elevators to get downstairs. And then two elevators to get back up. They also have a waiting room area beside the front desk. My wife and I came down so they could clean our room. They let people sleep in there. There was a guy who took his shoes off and had his gross feet on the coffee table. Nobody bothered putting any of that to a stop. Was a great view but the smell and people up there chased us away. Poor experience. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I had the pleasure to stay at this amazing hotel. The view from the room was fantastic you get that natural light. Room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. Great service, check in & valet was so fast and easy. walking distance to bars and restaurants and only a few steps down to level 8. Looking forward to stay here again. It’s a safe hotel in LA once you walk in it’s quiet and clean

My stay at AC Hotel Downtown LA was fantastic! The modern design, spotless rooms, and comfortable beds made for a perfect experience. Definitely never staying here again unless I’m by myself and have no other options. If you’re with someone, make sure you’re comfortable with them hearing & smelling everything you do on the toilet because there is bare minimum of privacy and the toilet is not fully enclosed. Someone thought it would be a good idea to have the toilet space share a translucent glass wall with the shower and have that wall not go to the ceiling. And the toilet/shower space isn’t separated from the bed space either. Also the lack of restaurants and room service was surprising. For a $300/night hotel (what it comes out to with all the fees and taxes on a Friday night), I would’ve expected much more. I’d give it a zero if I could for room design.

Service was also subpar. We asked to pay $70 for late checkout at 2 pm so we could sleep as we knew we’d be out til 6 am and at 11 am (checkout) someone came knocking saying it was checkout so we told them no we paid for 2 pm checkout THEN AGAIN AT 12 PM someone else came knocking saying we were supposed to check out at 11. So obviously no extra sleep was had. We asked for refund of the late checkout since we got no use out of it and they said they never charged us for it. They also comped the $35 destination fee but they failed to give us our $35 food credit.

Location is DTLA so it is what it is.

Stay elsewhere and avoid the bad experience.
