Limited wine selection, but what we had hit the mark. About $15/glass. The sesame honey wings were really good & only heard great stuff about rest of menu. Great vibe with eclectic cassette tapes on the stereo and tasteful decor. It was lively in there and not pretentious at all. HLP now has a great little selection for wine you could walk to between Sam’s Place, Holcomb, Byron Blatty & Vinovore. Makes for a great Sunday afternoon.

The crown jewel of Monte Vista. Very grateful a place like Sam’s has popped up and not on the main drags of Fig & York. Double points for not having social media presence. Authentic and effortlessly cool. Wishing them the very best but selfishly don’t want it to become so popular it flips into the new Capri Club… tell your friends. But not too many of them :)

This has become my favorite restaurant. My go to order is the Vichy Catalan (only because i don't drink) the perfectly cooked stake, the herb salad and of course the sweet potatoes. its a perfect meal in a perfect place.
