This review is based on my multiple visits, including food/drinks at the lounge, high tea, and food at the restaurant. Long gone are the days of Wolfgang Pick and his wonderful chef Hugo Bolanos; it is a diner today, a NY diner for triple the price. Does it warrant 500 bucks for two to have high tea? Probably not. Bottom line, don't expect much.

Brilliant spot in the iconic Bel Air Hotel. The food is exceptionally good. One of the best steaks I've ever had.

We wanted the Restaurant at Hotel Bel-Air to be something other than a nice hotel restaurant in a fancy hotel, but at the end of the day that is all it really is.  The food was all good and presented well but $15-$20 per item overpriced which is hard to justify when the food isn’t incredibly special.  Service was good but not the memorable service you expect at these price points.  The ambience was great however and it was fun to walk around the resort afterwards.  Do I feel like I need to rush back? No.  Was it fine for what it was? Yes.

It was an exceptional dining experience. From the moment we entered until dessert, everything was perfect, even the weather. Our waiter, Micah Paloff, made the evening truly magical. I will certainly return with friends and family so they can also enjoy this luxurious dining experience.

Went for Sunday breakfast. $110 for one, including parking ($23 with validation from restaurant; $25 without??).

Is it worth it?

The setting is gorgeous. The wines-by-the-glass selection seems good. The food was very nice (nearly $40 for a croissant egg sandwich with a pile of lovely salad on the side). The service was a little inattentive - had to frantically wave to pay my bill, requiring another customer at the front desk to point at me to get someone to come by). Yet still very personable people. The espresso drink was machine made, pretty sure ($12 and no coffee art).

So is it worth it? You all decide!
