The marina views from the room are some of the best views I’ve ever seen. I could stay on the balcony forever. The hotel overall is very beautiful, charming, and walking distance to a nice local restaurant. There is a beautiful walkway where you can breathe in the fresh air and take a gander at all the boats. Parking is only valet, like most other Ritz properties.

The hotel has nice perks such as a complimentary drink at a nightly happy hour to meet other guests, or simply bring your complimentary cocktail back to your room. Room service delivery was incredibly kind, personable, greeted us by name, and even interacted with our baby. I highly recommend splurging for the one-bedroom suite if you have kids, as it is basically two rooms!

My only qualm with our stay was the check out process / administration. We purchased the suite celebration package, which came with a nightly F&B credit. At checkout, I flagged that it wasn’t included in our portfolio. The attendant then only applied one night’s credit. I contacted customer service after we left to get the additional credits, to which they incorrectly stated it was only a 1x/stay credit. I had to take a screenshot of their website, which showed it was a nightly credit. Only then was I issued a refund for the overpayment. When staying at such a luxury resort, I don’t want to have to feel like I’m fighting with customer service to get what I paid for. I do hope they have stepped up their game, because the hotel itself is a bucket list hotel!

This location is great, the service is superb.  The staff is very friendly and welcoming.  They were so sweet to offer to assist me with my makeup kit and chair since I was dragging my stuff with me.  The building itself is very clean spotless.  Vibrant.  The view of the ocean is spectacular.  My client says she enjoys staying at this location because their great and they treat her well.

I was somewhat hesitant to visit the Ritz Marina del Rey based on some of the mixed reviews, but was pleasantly surprised by the property and staff.

We were especially pleased to see our loyalty status recognized at check-in with our room bumped to a one-bedroom suite overlooking the marina. The room itself was gorgeous 700 square foot executive suite with dedicated living/sitting area, plush king bed and full size marble bathroom with enclosed shower. We found our rooms to be quiet and comfortable making for a restful stay. It also appears that the elevators have been upgraded to newer and quieter models, which may address some concerns raised by past guests about noisy or aging utilities.

Location wise, it is also walking distance to Venice and close to LAX making for the perfect stay for travelers looking to catch an early morning flight or to do a quick layover.

Overall we enjoyed staying at the Ritz Marina del Rey and thought the property hit the right mix of luxury, convenience and price in a cozy laid-back pier setting.

Would definitely recommend if within budget (especially if considering other neighboring properties such as the Marriott Marina Del Rey). Definitely one of our new go-tos if in the area!

Our stay at The Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment we arrived, the impeccable service and attention to detail made us feel truly special. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, always greeting us with warmth and professionalism.

The room was luxurious and beautifully designed, offering stunning views of the marina that added a serene touch to our stay. Every amenity was thoughtfully provided, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The property itself is exquisite, with its elegant decor, peaceful ambiance, and well-maintained facilities.

We also enjoyed the dining options, where each meal was crafted with care and bursting with flavor. The waterfront location is unbeatable, offering the perfect blend of tranquility and accessibility to nearby attractions.

Our time at The Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey exceeded all expectations, and we can’t wait to return. A true haven of luxury and exceptional hospitality.

Nice hotel on the marina front and close to Venice beach.  Good outdoor balcony seating for lunch and dinner. Outdoor pool and hot tub didn't get too busy in March, but it wasn't the holiday season.  Hired bike to cycle along the coast, if you have time, and the weather,  do it!
