Stayed here for about 4 weeks for a work trip the staff, valet drivers and restaurant staff were all amazing. This is the place to be. Convenient location that’s unbeatable. Having a full sectional couch (with a pull out bed) in addition to the super comfy king sized bed, and large windows really made it feel like home. No microwaves in the rooms if you care about that kind of thing. The shampoo and conditioner provided smell and worked great on my curly hair and the house keeping staff was so professional.

This hotel is in a fantastic location - walk a block and you’re at the Pier, beach and restaurants. A block or two in the opposite direction and you’re at the metro, Third Street Promenade, Trader Joe’s, Target etc. Valet parking is available for a fee. Surfboards, boogie boards and beach chairs available to rent. The pool area was clean and pool was heated. The room was comfortable - the only downside (which was not an issue for us) is that the bathroom was small. Every staff member we came in contact with was so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!!

Nice enough hotel, outrageously priced. Good location and nice, relatively new rooms. The shower is poor, with low water presssure and lukewarm temperature at best (I stayed 3 nights and had one hot shower and one day it was stone cold).

It’s just way too expensive for what it is. The amenity fee in particular of 45/night is both excessive and poorly disclosed (if you book direct, although it says the rate includes fees, it does not - they add the amenity fee on in check-in). I wont be back - much better value elsewhere.

Location was perfect. Right across the street from the Santa Monica Pier and around the corner from great shopping. Our room was okay but not great. The bathroom lights around the mirror were going out and flickering- bathroom was dark. Housekeeping did not come until our last night there and they came at 5 pm after we were gone all day and getting ready for dinner. The toilet made a loud noise (sounded like an elephant) when flushed. The shower water never got hot and was just Luke warm. The room smelts stagnant and musty. From the looks of the filter it should have been swapped out 6 months ago. New restaurant on site was nice but employees were complaining about lack of management on Super Bowl Sunday. A little unprofessional. Not sure if we would stay here again…

Our First Trip to Santa Monica

For our first trip to Santa Monica, my husband and I wanted to find something special a place that we would truly love. The moment we found The Pierside Hotel in Santa Monica, we were hooked. Upon check-in, we were immediately impressed by the exceptional customer service it was top-notch!

The room we chose was perfect, and the view was stunning. We woke up each morning to the sight of the beach, which was such a treat. The hotel itself is modern, well-designed, and high quality, making our stay feel even more luxurious.

We also enjoyed the pool, which was clean, peaceful, and quiet
honestly, we could have spent the entire day there!

While we looked for nearby restaurants within walking distance, nothing quite caught our eye, so we decided to try "The Surfing Fox" right in the hotel. I had the Lobster Roll, and it was amazing! My husband had the Michelada Mussels, and the flavors were incredible. We also enjoyed the Shrimp Toast, which was tasty, and I highly recommend the Korean Mac n’ Cheese and Fox Fries as sides.

The hotel is ideally located within walking distance of the pier, making it exactly what we were looking for. Everyone at The Pierside Hotel made our stay unforgettable, and it’s now our go-to spot whenever we return to California.
