This was a great dining experience. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and explained all of our plates as they came out. The dishes were interesting, our crab came with sweet potatoes done three different ways. The drinks were fantastic and there was a long list of wines to choose from. I also liked how you can watch the food bring prepared in the kitchen while you're eating.

We came back to celebrate another birthday because we enjoyed it here so much the first time.  The food is unique and delicious,  service and atmosphere are great. The menu does change with the seasons so items come and go.  We missed the lamb shank from our first visit but swooned over the Scallops Crudo this time. The John Dory was somewhat dry and boring but the Beef Shortribs were delicious. A great place for a special occasion meal!

Honestly one of my highly favored restaurants in Socal and for good reason. I’ve dined at Marche about a dozen+ times now and it’s an elegant and seamless experience every time from beginning to end. I enjoy it so much I make it a point to celebrate my birthday here annually (with extra visits as often as I can)

I’ve tried many delicious plates at Marche over the years and some stand outs off the top of my head include the hamachi sashimi with mango sorbet, caviar,  pomme frites, grilled octopus, pork belly, and most recently the best pork tenderloin dish I have ever had in my life and I have had a lottt of pork in a great variety of preparation. To die for! So a huge thank you to the chefs for their artistic execution.

I did try the beef tartare for the first time recently and found it to be slightly over complicated. There was almost too much going on in the tartare itself and I feel simplifying the ingredients to a minimum may let the beef shine more. I tend to favor the Japanese style tartare but it was enjoyable nonetheless.

The service itself is always smooth and refined without a stuffy feel which goes well with the relaxed vibe of Orange County. The cocktails are always on point. The yuzu and pamplemousse are my favorites. Refreshing and strong.

Do not skip on desserts here. I only ever order desserts at 2-3 select places when dining out but all of Marche’s desserts are divine.

We celebrated my birthday and what a wonderful experience. The scallops, oxtail, rockfish, chocolate soufflé, apple tart, and crème brûlée ALONG with perfect wine pairings were simply amazing. Our excellent server was Dane and all the other people who made service so good.  Highly recommend.

Had a nice meal here. Appetizers were very enjoyable. Mains were good but not well balanced. For example, duck confit was deliciously crispy and tender, the Bordelaise sauce was tart and flavorful, but the bitter side vegetable, endive maybe?, overpowered, as it was provided in large pieces and there was a lot of it.

Hamachi var fantastisk. Allt vi beställde blåste bort oss och tjänsten var på plats. De parade viner med varje maträtt och om vi kunde ha kommit tillbaka igen skulle vi ha det.

Jag älskar denna plats, trevlig miljö, stämningen är riktigt trevlig, maten är fantastisk, charcuterie board är fantastiskt, denna plats är en pärla kvarter i nya hamnstranden, ett måste att besöka när du är i los angeles. njut, utmärkt och fantastiskt.

Vi har kommit till Marche Moderne i flera år. Vi har aldrig haft mindre än en perfekt måltid och perfekt service. Det är en härlig plats med förstklassig mat och mycket uppmärksam service. Jag skulle äta där en gång i veckan om jag kunde.

Från den franska lökssoppa, genom den asiatiska pärsalat, till de korta revbenen och grönsakerna tillsammans med husets röda bordeauxvin smakade allting otroligt bra!

Det bästa med platsen är att köket är glasat i, så att du kan se de många uniformerade kockarna som gör sina saker. Det finns också en slående, enorm smörbygel som sitter i köket som nästan var borta vid den tidpunkt då vi lämnade; detta är säkert en fransk restaurang. Tjänsten är bra, som är maten. Jag hade en hackad sallad (utmärkt), bläckfisk gjord på 2019 sättet (bra) och en sillfat (OK). Min fru hade kammusslor och gillade dem väldigt mycket. Våra vänner hade sugande gris aptitretare och antingen musslor eller sweetbreads; de uttalade dem utmärkt. Den svåra delen av upplevelsen är att platsen är full av hårda ytor och din middag under tvingade alla att ropa hela måltiden. Jag skulle prova uteserveringen, som förmodligen är tystare, om jag kom hit igen.

Vi ser till att planera en middag här på varje resa vi tar till OC. Maten är underbar och stämningen är elegant.

Hon sa att fisken var bra bara lite till salt. Grönsaker var enastående.

Detta var vårt första besök i Marche Moderne och vi blev förvånade över hur bra maten var. Vi var med ett annat par och alla fyra av oss har verkligen haft vår mat. Återigen var vår middag sensationell. Med stor tjänst än en gång, också.

Maten var sublim. Sallader och min biff tartare var verkligen underbart. Men förrätterna ställde dem till skam. Min make fisk och barnens biff och revben var fantastisk. Servern var särskilt försiktig för en av barnen, som har flera allvarliga matallergier.

Min födelsedag vän och jag båda beställde kammusslan entree special, som var en hyllning till tekniker som används av den nyligen passerade Joel Robuchon. Det var sublimt, och definitivt påminde oss båda hans berömda kammusslor skålen. Wow.

Tjänsten var stor - det enda misstaget var när servern glömde barnets matallergi när de tog dessert. Våra drycker var fantastiska, anmärkningsvärda efter några olyckor på vårt senaste besök. Vin rekommendationer var plats på, liksom. Medan vi normalt tar med egna viner till middag, är korken här 35 kronor, och vinlistan är faktiskt väldigt stark, så vi föredrar att bara beställa ett glas eller en halvflaska eller en flaska efter behov.

Jag märkte en recension för några dagar sedan som indikerar problemen med air con. Jag är väldigt känslig för att vara varm, så jag bär ofta shorts eller lätta kläder till en restaurang av denna kaliber om det är väldigt varmt. Det var faktiskt ganska coolt inne på den här natten, med air con fungerar bra trots att det bara låg 70 s utanför. Vår väns man och dotter båda behövde en lätt filt, i själva verket - som servern föreslog och tog med sig.

Marche Moderne öppnades nyligen på en större plats i Newport Coast. Restaurangen förblir som vår favoritrestaurang i Orange County. Maten är underbar och tjänsten är exceptionell. Detta, hands down, är den plats vi alltid väljer för en speciell händelse i. e. , födelsedag, årsdag, etc. En underbar upplevelse varje gång vi besöker vilket är flera gånger varje år.

Lyckligtvis hade luftkonditioneringen som brutit ned den föregående veckan fixats. Vår middag hade en skakig start - köket vände sig oväntat bakom med att förbereda hummerbisqueen speciell så medan det lät gott, bestämde vi oss för att det inte var värt att fördröja vår måltid i en timme att vänta på det - och det fanns en insekt i min systers vatten! Allt gick smidigt efter. Jag rekommenderar starkt benmärg aptitretare, krispiga anka confit och sweetbreads. Fois gras mousse och spanska bläckfisk aptitretare var också utmärkt. Lisa, vår server, var mycket uppmärksam. En extra bonus var en utmärkt utsikt över kökspersonalen bakom glaset. En mycket trevlig middag övergripande.
