In and out under an hour, rushed and loud. Never asked if we needed more cocktails. Started with appetizers which were good, but rushed. As soon as he dropped them he wanted an order for the main course. We ordered the veal which was under flavored and puff pastry was not inflated, chewy and undercooked. Too much cream and too much runny  sauce for a pot pie. Had the short rib which had more flavor but again they came over to drop off bread 3 times and never asked if we needed anything. We asked for the check and sorbet was brought with the it, ?lemon because it lacked flavor. The tables are constantly being rebalanced as they wobble, people are shoulder to shoulder at larger tables. Even the tables next to us the poor guy was on the ground leveling it. There are a million restaurants in this city and you should find a better one but here. Inconstancy in the way taxes are presented n every check. And to end the fruit flies 🪰 are horrible and when we addressed it with the staff he seemed annoyed and angry. Lastly, watch where they add the mandatory taxes as this establishment taxes you on top of the healthcare mandate. Extra money in their pockets and they don’t pay for healthcare in most establishments. Not sure how they get away with this

Tens across the board. Came here with my husband the other night without a reservation. We were having our first night away from our baby together and he found this place. At first we were just going for drinks, but the hostess was kind enough to accommodate us and found us a table. From the moment we entered, the service was impeccable. We got drinks and an appetizer at the bar and the bartender was attentive to our needs. When a table became available for us, we were seamlessly transferred. We ordered the lobster spaghetti and chicken hash, both were delicious. Additionally, the live pianist was such a vibe. A lovely way to spend my first evening away from my child. Incredibly grateful.

First time at BIX.  We were there with locals who have owned some bars and clubs in the SF area.  Even they commented on the experience and quality of the beverages and food..
We couldn't have been any happier.
Staff and management were top notch and even though our table was not ready when we arrived, the team checked in with us regularly and assured us they were on top of it.  Great front of the house team.
The service team was highly attentive and took such wonderful care of our group.
As you'll see, the food looked amazing and didn't disappoint.

I had an amazing experience at BIX in San Francisco. The atmosphere is cozy yet elegant, making it perfect for a nice night out. The food was incredible. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Definitely a place I would return to and recommend to anyone, especially for those who enjoy an exclusive type of restaurant

Att gå längs gränden till 56 Gold kan det vara? Det är som att gå in i en annan värld. Baren dominerar entrén och lockar allt för att starta upplevelsen på rätt sätt. En av mina favoritbarer och restauranger i San Francisco. Har stor karaktär och atmosfär, för att inte tala om fantastiska cocktails!

Maten var anständig. Även om man betalar högsta dollar, krossar de dig för att vända bordet för en andra middagssammanträde. Värdinnan var särskilt oförskämd. Inom två minuter efter att ha betalat vår check, som var mer än $ 450 för ett bord på 4, började busspojken att rensa vattenglas från bordet, sedan servitören stannade förbi och tog servetter och slutligen stannade värdinnan av och frågade något till verkan om vi var klara. När jag nämnde att deras kollektiva beteende mot slutet av måltiden var dålig informerade värdinnan mig om att de behövde få plats för andra klienter. Kanske måste de placera reservationerna mer lämpligt istället för att rusa sina partroner>

Besökte vår första natten i San Francisco. Mat var stor - aptitretare av "kudde" potatis och Dungeness krabba rullar, med huvudrätt av hälleflundra och kyckling "hash." Espresso och Bix version av bananer foster avslutade en stor måltid. En jazzpianist spelade tidigt och en jazztrio senare. Värt att höra dem, även utan maten. Kom inte till San Francisco utan att gå till Bix.

Detta är en bra plats att besöka i SF. Vi var en grupo på fem, och hade en bra upplevelse. Baren är värt ett besök av sig själv. Maten var trevlig, inte bäst i stan, men tillräckligt bra. Tjänsten var personlig och vänlig. Jazz var vacker, de förtjänar ett större stadium.

Bra mat, atmosfär, service och jazz. En perfekt plats för en romantisk kväll i San Francisco. Högt rekommenderad.

Bara för att vara tydlig: denna plats är 5/5 på varje enskild räkning (atmosfär, service, bar, jazzbandet spelar varje natt), men för mat.
Jag åt det flera gånger i 2018 och 2019, och medan jag bokstavligen älskar atmosfären (och kommer fortsätta att gå, för det här är en unik inställning!), Har maten alltid varit ganska elak.
Ingen fantasi i menyn (bara efterlikna några vintergröna klassiker, men med dåliga resultat), ingen uppmärksamhet på friska ingredienser, dåligt utförande.

En familjemedlem rekommenderade denna plats och jag älskade absolut det. Personalen var otroligt vänliga och hjälpsamma. Dryckerna var fantastiska. Maten var högsta kvalitet. Jag skulle rekommendera att få biff tartare att dela och sedan alla huvudrätter är fantastiska. Atmosfären är mycket unik, eftersom du känner att du har en måltid tillbaka i tiden.

Vi bokade ett bord en månad eller 2 i förväg som vi skulle vara i San Fran på semester, jag skulle råda detta som det var definitivt fullt när vi kom fram till 8 pm, de körde lite bakom på vårt bord, vi var lite tidigt också, så väntade i baren och vi beställde en drink.
Vi samlades sedan för att ta till vårt bord ungefär 20 minuter senare, vi var inte arga i det minsta och njöt bara av atmosfären på platsen och pianisten som spelade.
De var så ursäktande för att få oss att vänta men de bestämde sig definitivt för det!
Vår server böjde sig bakåt för att få oss att känna oss välkomna.
Vi fick en runda drycker, en tredje förrätt att dela och vår efterrätt på huset!
De skimp inte på delstorlekar, allt smakar så fräscht och bra gjort.
Allt i allt maten var enastående, tjänsten var utmärkt, värt vartenda öre!
Skulle definitivt rekommendera.
