This sandwich smelled so good that I didn't even have a moment to take a photo that did it justice. I cannot reiterate enough -- this is hands down the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. The breading on the fried chicken was seasoned beautifully and cooked perfectly so it was still juicy. The bun complimented the rest of the sandwich. Also, the portion was huge, so even though it was a little pricey (as is nearly all food in SF), I didn't feel cheated. Can't believe you guys are a new restaurant because you've got it all down. Plus, the staff were super friendly and offered a contactless pick up. Can't wait until these guys start selling merch because their logo is also incredible!!

I get the concept but felt like they didn't quite hit the mark. The szetchy hot was actually slightly sweet which I didn't expect since szechuan spice is a numbing spice that builds in heat. Their hetchys hot came with extremely stale hot cheetos (like you left these out all day) and the sauce made the sandwich really heavy- and again not spicy. We got both sandwiches with the hot oil though so maybe hottest would have solved this? The flavor combos weren't compelling, just felt like someone threw a sauce, a pickle and bread + fried chicken together. Didnt feel cohesive to me.
With that said- the chicken was still crispy and crunchy via delivery which was nice. Packaging is all compostable (though you might have to take off the labels which are very easy to remove). Generous portion and not too oily chicken, sandwiches stayed together while eating which was great! Fries portions are also very generous.
Definitely worth giving a try so you can decide for yourself!

So I thought these sandwiches were actually going to be hot or super spicy. They tried, but... not so much. Nothing a little Last Dab couldn't fix.

But. Seriously. These may have been the best chicken sandwiches I've *ever* had. The amazing cornmeal crust held up super well for a delivery sandwich. (Also, the fries were totally awesome for delivery too? Whatever they're doing, they should keep it up.)

And though I thought the Hetchy's Hot with the Cheetos was going to be the best, it turned out that the pickly goodness from the Hetch Calabria punched through the deep savoriness of the impeccably breaded chicken. It. Was. Incredible.

Also, as other reviews mentioned - they were huge. Super satisfying, perhaps more sandwich than a person should take down in one sitting. Think Mission burrito-sized meal.

There are few things more enjoyable for me than biting into a hot, crunchy, juicy fried chicken thigh. Imagine my joy when I got a trio of fried chicken sandwiches delivered to my door. These loaded sandwiches traveled surprisingly well - the filling was still crunchy (even the hot cheetos), intact, and the buns were fluffy.

Initially the buns seemed big, but when I saw how generously large the chicken thighs were the ratios worked. Of the three I tried, I liked the flavor of the Rancher Dancher the most thanks to the pickled onions and ranch powder. The buns were also the most buttery on that one.

The Hetch Calabria had awesome sweet and sour vinegar tang from the mama lil's peppers and the bright pickles. Though the chicken itself on this one was a little dry. The Hetchy's Hot with hot cheetos was good, but I was hoping for way more heat on the breading itself. The heat came mostly from the hot cheetos and jalapeños.

Overall, these were some of the better fried chicken sandwiches I've had in the Bay. Thanks Hetchy's Hots for providing me with some hot quarantine action!

Eh. I had two bites of the sandwich and threw it away unfortunately. The chicken was very tough and hard to chew, not to mention it was so thick I couldn’t bite it. And I have a big mouth. Tried to take it home and deconstruct it, hoping maybe I just hit in to a “bad” part of the chicken? Not so. Whole thing was extremely sub par. Pretty disappointing since I do love me some fried chicken sammiches. I’ll give them a couple weeks to get their affair in order, and try them again as maybe it was just a one off experience, as I know that happens in the restaurant biz sometimes. I reserve the right to alter this review at a later date and just may do so, but that isn’t up to me, is it, Hetchy?
