Very disappointed with our experience. From the second we set foot in from our reservation, we were told to wait while our table was being cleared. We then watched 5 other parties come up to reception and be seated right away. We waited at least 15 min while watching this all. Felt very insulting. When we were seated it took quite a while for them to come take any orders. All the food was sub-par and the cocktails were not something I’d order again, specifically the Royal Sour. Couldn’t finish it. Very unfortunate to have such an unpleasant experience here.

Celebrated my dear friend's birthday on Sunday afternoon, we all had an amazing time at La Mar Cocina.💞
We went with outside patio seating, which was perfect with a beautiful Pier view.
The food was good, fresh and delicious. Our server was amazing & suggested a few dishes & drinks which we went with.
My absolute favorite was the Quinoa Chaufa, well balanced, the crunch elevated the dish.
Chocolate cake was exceptional, it was devoured as we shared, definitely must try.

Nice atmosphere and food presentation, but the entree (Halibut) was lacking flavor. For the price I would have expected better.
Service was a little chaotic, and the dishes for our group arrived at completely different times.
The Old Fashioned was one of the best I've had!

All in all, nice place to eat or have drinks, also for larger groups. I'll give it another try.

What a great place! Did an early dinner during a layover in San Francisco and we were so happy we stumbled into this restaurant. Food was absolutely excellent, the recommendations from our server were top notch. Service was excellent and the cocktails were just as good. You wont be disappointed eating here!

I haven’t been to a Peruvian restaurant in a while. La Mar is more than sea food and ceviche kind of a place. In fact, their vegetarian dishes blew me away. The flavors, the presentation everything deserves 5 stars. Get the veggie ceviche, the empanadas, and the stir fry. So good!
Service is wonderful!
