1. The service is so poor. The mid-shift manager couldn't be less interested in their job. I arrived before 3 and was asked to return at 3, although many other guests were being checked into their rooms. When I did, the manager literally typed on their computer for eight minutes straight, avoiding eye contact with me and the other guests that were lining up behind me with questions. After the long-term ignore, he told me my room was still not ready. WHAT?! I finally got into my room about an hour after promised check in time. Hire a workforce that wants to represent your brand...unless crappy service is your brand?  I won't be returning.

2. The rooms are beautiful. Stocked with everything you would need (robe, umbrella, coffee pods). But so are many other hotels at this price point that will treat you better.

3. This is on the edge of SOMA, and after dark, it is filled with homeless and drugs. Yes the hotel posts security outside, but unless you wish to remain a prisoner and not venture out, the area is questionable.

The hotel is nice and beautifully appointed. My biggest complaint is that it is quite noisy. I woke up several times throughout the evening from loud screaming and arguing on turk st (even with earplugs). This was a big disappointment. I complained to the hotel staff but nothing transpired. Also the rooftop restaurant was nice, but the service was quite underwhelming. I waited 30 min for my wine to arrive, and had to ask several times for condiments/utensils/napkins (because they kept forgetting). Hotel is mediocre at best

Very good hotel and amazing staff. The cafeteria close to the lobby does an amazing job in the morning 😊
A big concern is the location - the hotel is located in the tenderloin district which is one of the most dangerous of the city - streets that you don’t wanna be at night. Unfortunately drug addiction and crime is big problem here.
We were on the 3rd floor and I have to say that the room was well isolated to the inside noise but not to the noise from the streets.
Overall, I would recommend the hotel itself but not location - especially for families. The hotel is very still very close to China town and Union square just few blocks away down market street. It is an ok walk in daylight.

Cute, clean & modern hotel but NOT the place you want to stay if you’re traveling to enjoy the city. This was our first time in SF so we weren’t familiar with the neighborhoods and boy did we learn the hard way. The streets are covered with prolific drug use and homelessness. I am very well traveled and not the nervous type but I did not feel safe walking through this neighborhood even in the middle of the day. From what I learned the Hotel is a great place to stay if you’re traveling for work - to work in the Union Square area. But if you are traveling for pleasure DO NOT stay here.

I am currently traveling, and my experience with The Line San Francisco has been a nightmare. They attempted multiple unauthorized charges on my card, including one that went through without my consent. When asked on the multiple charges, the staff was also evasive and unhelpful. I then emailed them immediately to resolve the issue, but I’ve received no response. The lack of accountability and transparency is unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone who values security and reliable customer service. Highly do not recommend.
