I've mentioned the following in plenty of other reviews but if you are going to be an eatery/food truck that specializes in an American classic, particularly burgers, then you need to be prepared to wow me, especially when I can go to the nearest In-n-Out for a quality burger and fries. I came across this food truck at the Taylor Street Market in San Jose. It was the only food truck that I had not tried out of all the ones there so I thought I'd give it a shot. I ordered the Grillman burger with a side of garlic fries. I will give them credit that the bun that they use is not something that I have seen at other burger places. It was more bread-like then brioche-like, which was an interesting change. However, everything else was just standard. Both the meat and the toppings were okay and didn't contribute much at all to the overall burger. The fries were okay but nothing that I haven't seen at other burger joints. Again, my standard for places that serve burgers is whether or not the place in question beats In-n-Out since they serve quality at a reasonable price and unfortunately Grillman doesn't make the cut.

This truck was at Valley Med Center and decided to get a couple of burgers and fries. We had two orders the total was almost $50 with tip. The burgers were pretty good and big! They can easily feed 2-3 people on how big their portions are. overall, really good burgers and fries! would definitely try it again!

9/31/23 Our workplace subsidizes food trucks to come every Thursday, and so today I found this one parked outside. I was surprised to not find any entry for it on Yelp as the truck looked nice, new, and professional. Anyway, I guess this would be their first review then... and I'm happy to say they're pretty good! It was a simple menu: 2 burgers, 1 vegetable sandwich (which they erroneously called a "burger", which only cow meet would qualify to be a part of), and 1 chicken sandwich. Fries for a side. Now, again, this truck was subsidized, so I'm not sure if this would be their normal menu or if it was made just for us? Also, prices wouldn't be the same for sure, so I'll just not mention what I paid. I had... 1. California Burger "1/2 lb black angus beef, American cheese, red onion, lettuce, tomato, applewood bacon, fresh avocado on fresh kaiser roll": I told them medium rare, and it came well done... normally this would be a knock against them, but it was still very juicy! So much so that holding it in my hands it continued to drip beautiful savory cow sauce for the next 1min! Mmmmmm..... and that kaiser roll is so perfect as a hamburger bun. Moist, slightly elastic, and held up quite well to the juice but yet had the right texture to still feel like a burger. And also.... cheeeeeese. It was a beautiful burger. No, it's no Eat on Monday burger, which is always cooked perfectly medium, but it's a good substitute! 9/10 2. Fries: I honestly can't remember how they were, but usually that means they were unremarkable. 3. Buffalo Ranch (Chicken Sandwich): I didn't get this, but I saw my coworkers eating it and it looked INSANE. Made me wish I got this instead of my burger honestly. Frickin work of art. got the buffalo ck sando because of the previous review. *bun, shredded iceberg w/buffalo sauce, cheese, and meat (a few dill pickle rounds would have been good) *the sandwich weighed over 1lb. definitely value in weight. *no line when i arrived so quick turn around. and after a walk back to the office, it was still hot. *this sandwich was more about quantity than quality *chicken was white meat from a chicken tenderloin did it work - yes. but it's not something i would typically order. not to discourage you, but i would pass on this item next time. if i was in a burger mood, i would try a burger instead, but i would expect the same quality. this sandwich reminds me of something you could buy at the deli, little lucca, but this one was on wheels.

The food was great and I got the chicken parmesan sandwich it was really good (it has 2 chicken Pattie's) it's a great thing to try, The service is great and so is the ambiance.

I recently worked with Grillman Food Truck for our school event, and it was incredibly easy to work with them. They were punctual (arrived 1 hr before the event!), and responded promptly to emails with confirmations and necessary paperwork for our school. I was recommended to use Grillman by a nearby middle school and I can see why- their food was delicious and there was a good variety: burger, fries, onion rings (we enjoyed these as they were crispy but didn't taste too oily), chicken strips, etc. Their food was made fresh and was ready in a timely manner. They even brought a garbage can and made sure their area was clean at the end of the night. For school events, quality of food and reliability is of utmost importance, and Grillman had both. I cannot recommend them enough!
