Reservations recommended! I came here at 9:30pm on a Thursday night for food and still had to wait to get a table without a reservation. Excellent cocktails, mapo tofu, pork belly, Dan Dan noodles. Very friendly staff and good service. Indoor and outdoor tables but the outside isn’t heated for the winter.

I don’t usually write long reviews, much less negative reviews.

$78 for 3 tiny, mediocre dishes. (without adding tax)

Brave take on Chinese cuisine, definitely could use some more trips to China or even Chinatown in New York.
Portion size was incredibly disappointing, though that may just be the dining standard for asian cuisines in DC. We received ~8pieces of walnut shrimp for $27… 哇操 I wish I went to panda express. And the 紅油炒手(chili wontons), $17 for 8 of them. They had barely any filling, every bite was just dumpling wrapping, with a tiny hint of substance. I am not exaggerating.
Tables were also uncomfortably small which is unfitting for Chinese cuisine, which is family style. Though I guess it doesn’t matter as much because of the tiny plates they use to accommodate the tiny portion sizes.
Service was also pretty poor according to my girlfriend, though I was too taken aback by the 東坡肉(Red Braised Pork) that was extremely thin to notice.
Too much effort misplaced in the presentation, that instead should have been invested in the actual food.

They also serve goldfish as a complimentary appetizer. Interesting take on Chinese Cuisine. Do they think Chinese people eat goldfish a lot??? Was very confused.

Definitely go elsewhere to find authentic, satisfying Chinese food that is worth your money and time. I am sure there are better alternatives in DC Chinatown.

This place is great! Tiny and cozy, either plan ahead and book a table or try for a bar table (we did a bar table). Everything we ate was amazing, we even ordered a second order of the walnut shrimp. Drink menu was classic and yummy, vibe was great and solid service, would come back!

This was some of the most flavorful amazing spicy fresh hot Chinese Szechuan food
I've had. The place was so swanky and vibey although the table we sat at was awkwardly tiny. Fun extensive cocktails and drinks too. Super cool well rounded spot!
