One of my favorite spots for dinner at the bar. Great food and service of course but the design is also gorgeous and the cocktail list is one of the best in town.  Don’t skip dessert

Oh, and HAPPY HOUR is killer. They have it on Saturdays and Sunday too (all day Sunday, in fact!)

Dauphine’s has a great vibe with a beautiful bar area that sets the perfect tone for drinks and bites. Their happy hour selection is solid, and the New Orleans-inspired cocktails and food did not disappoint.

For drinks, we had the Pimm’s Cup, Punch, and Hurricane—all refreshing, well-balanced, and classic New Orleans cocktails.

Food-wise, we started with fresh and charbroiled oysters, both delicious in their own way. The chicken liver mousse dip with shrimp chips was creamy and unique, while the catfish dip had a great smoky flavor, served with buttery crackers—though a bit too crumbly. For the main, the blackened catfish was cooked perfectly—tender, flavorful, and paired with a rich, well-seasoned sauce. The rice grits were creamy and buttery, soaking up that sauce beautifully. 10 out of 10!

With RTO in full swing, the place gets busy even on a Wednesday, so I’d recommend coming early for happy hour. Definitely planning to return!

My sister and I visited for dinner on a Friday evening in August. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The space was so well decorated. It had a light vibe and the ambiance was casual, warm and a bit elegant. The table we were sat at was very small and since we ordered drinks plus the 3-course restaurant week menu, it got crowded quickly so it wasn't very comfortable. However, our server (Marie?) was funny, attentive, and helpful with recommendations. The food was solid but not amazing. We definitely both loved the crab and artichoke dip and fried saltines. We both enjoyed the red wine with our meal and agreed that we would consider going back to try more menu items.

Had a great Saturday night before a holiday party. Service at the bar was excellent. Four stars because the menu could use a few more vegetable options. Smoked fish dip was too creamy and that drowned the taste of the dish in the dip. Oysters were insanely good.

That said, cocktails and the bartender were excellent. Beautiful decor too.

Probably the only place you can get authentic New Orleans fare. Added bonus was restaurant week and Sunday brunch time with live music accompaniment. We had the set menu 3-course brunch at $35 each guest.  Ordered the marinated mussels, brown butter crepes with ricotta filling and apples on top, seafood gumbo, crab hush puppies, catfish and grits, chicken and waffles, beef sweet potato hash, beignets, strawberry shortcake, king cake bread pudding, and chocolate pears. Everything we had was delightful and just the right portion size.

Vi satt utanför med en värmare en härlig oktoberkväll. Vår servitris var oklanderligt uppmärksam. Våra drinkar var utmärkta. Vi beställde en brödkorg som var fantastisk: sötpotatis brioche var utsökt, kex var mör och mycket smakrik, smöret var utmärkt, sylten var komplex och läcker. 
Gumbon var riktigt riktigt god. Vi hade collards som var mycket bra och milt kryddig. De stekta kronärtskockorna var komplicerade på ett mycket bra sätt, och kompletterades fint med citronyoghurt
De stekta ostronen var jättegoda! Steak tartaren var mycket generös och utsökt, kanske den bästa jag någonsin haft. 
Vi delade en svärtad Catfish med kreolsås som var mild och väldigt god. Det kom med krämig Louisiana risgryn. Underbart! 
Vi kanske måste åka tillbaka imorgon för Anka Jambalaya!

Jag tog en bokning för 1 för jazzbrunch precis när de öppnade klockan 11. Jag var så glad att komma dit, jag försökte öppna dörren 2 minuter innan de låste upp den. Det första du ser när du kommer in är den helt underbara baren i mitten av restaurangen. Jag hamnade på en hög topp bredvid den, men jag stirrade på marmorstångens topp och trä- och metallhöljet bakom den. Jag valde den perfekta tiden eftersom brunch har hela huvudmenyn och hela happy hour-menyn hela dagen. Jag visste direkt att jag skulle gå happy hour stil så jag kunde smaka så många objekt som möjligt. Jag hade tre råa ostron och tre ostron Daupine till att börja med baserat på rekommendationen från min server. Han sa att du inte vill missa de grillade ostronen med pecorinoosten, och han hade rätt. Jag åt också en bourbon milk punch, som är som en spritmilkshake. När jag tittade på menyn visste jag att jag ville ha boudinbollarna (som min server bekräftade var "eld") , och sedan frågade jag hans favorit. Han ledde mig till kycklinglevermoussen med inlagda grönsaker som kommer med krispiga räkchips att skopa. Jag skulle aldrig ha valt den själv, men han styrde mig inte fel. Det var utmärkt. De puréade jalapenofläckarna på kanterna blandade sig med moussen med krispigheten av grönsakerna och chipsen var så goda. Sen lutade jag mig bara tillbaka och såg bartendern gå till hörnet av baren och bara vibba ut med jazzbandet. Det var en perfekt söndag morgon avkoppling och njutning stund (innan du sitter i ett konferensrum resten av dagen) , vilket är precis vad jag hoppades på. Jag kommer definitivt att komma tillbaka igen och nästa gång måste jag ta med mig några människor som kommer att uppskatta vibe.

Interiören i Dauphine’s är helt underbar. Varje gång jag är där undrar jag om jag är i XXI-talet. IT är rymlig. IT har 4 olika sittgrupper, en uteservering och två Barer, om jag räknat rätt. IT rymmer typ 300 personer, så IT är aldrig tråkigt under Happy Hour. 
Jag skriver idag om min Brunchupplevelse på söndag efter kyrkan. 
Dauphine värd var gentlemannamässig och tillmötesgående. Jag är inte säker på om han är restaurangchef också. Vi har en monter, så det var bekvämt att titta på lite banduppträdande, som tillförde atmosfär och en touch av sofistikering, eftersom det matchade helgen avslappnad humör. 
Vår Server var noggrant klädd och kunnig. Han hade lite förvirring med min Spanska ros för att öppna den unika flaskan, men IT var värt att vänta. Det vinet var utsökt! För att matcha dess fruktiga smak har jag valt Croque - Madame och min vän har valt Steak&Eggs tallrik. Båda rätterna var salta, men salta och kryddiga för min smak, som, som sagt, kännetecknar ett kreolskt kök, rikt på smaker. Ärligt talat kunde jag bara ta några tuggor och byta till en kopp lyxig teblandning från Harney & Sons. 
Vi tillbringar nästan 2 timmar där, eftersom platsen skapade trevlig atmosfär. Vi kände oss speciella och festliga. Tack, Dauphines team. Vi kommer definitivt att återvända.

Från gumbo till tonfisk, varje rätt hade otroligt färska ingredienser och läckra smaker. Drinkarna var välgjorda, och vår servitör var stor! Vi kommer tillbaka.

Vi gick på middag på en söndag kväll och hade nöjet att ha Jeffery väntar på oss. Vi hade sett bra recensioner av restaurangen och det var nära till vårt hotell. Jag kan inte nog betona hur enastående vår erfarenhet var! Från maten, till drinkarna och absolut servicen, detta är ett absolut måste till restaurang om du är i DC! ! ! (Speciellt på en söndag, hela dagen Happy Hour i baren! ) Vi åt det godaste krabb- och kronärtskocksdipp jag någonsin smakat, det var himmelskt. Jag hade branzino som huvudrätt som också var utsökt. Andra i vår grupp provade gumbon, den fyllda kycklingen, deras kronärtskockor och såklart deras brödservering. 🤌🏼 Få mig inte ens att komma igång med deras drinkar, det finns en gräns för hur mycket jag kan skriva här. Gör dig själv en tjänst och gå omedelbart till Dauphines, fråga om Jeffrey fungerar, han är den bästa servern!

Kom hit med mamma på lunch, och det var så gott! Några av de bästa ostron vi har ätit. 

Vi satt utanför i trädgården, och det var underbart, personalen var så vänlig och maten var stor. 

Inuti såg det så kul ut också, det blev en jazzbrunch, vi drack inte men om vi hade varit det så såg det här superkul ut!

En riktigt god måltid. Jag gillade särskilt tonfisken och de grillade räkorna. Massor av bra alternativ här för en pescatarian. Förvånansvärt billigt för att hitta mat. Skulle äta där igen!

Börja med de bästa elementen... personalen och utrymmet. Båda var toppen. Cocktailarna var också mycket goda. Vi hoppades på att något skulle matcha den nivån i maten och hittade det bara inte. Krabbfingrarna var en bra början. Men varken våra tonfisk au poivre eller po boy huvudrätt val levde upp till våra förhoppningar. 

Det var en livlig happy hour scen så definitivt kolla in det om det är av intresse.

Maten var utmärkt, anmärkningsvärd de små tallrikarna och kakelfisk mandel. Drycker var också mycket välsmakande och presenteras väl (stor klar is! ). Vinlistan kantar dyrt men vi har haft en härlig vinröd. Funderade i förväg på att få den franska 75 för två, och glad att vi valde att inte, eftersom inställningen bara inte är elegant nog för den typen av lyx. Med det sagt, inredningen var rolig - NOLA stil smidesjärn - och marmorborden gjordes upp för brist på linne. Servicen var ouppmärksam ibland, men vi hade inte bråttom. Verkade som en affärskundkrets, men ingen överraskning med tanke på läget och att det var en veckonatt.

Bottenvåning i en ny glas- och stålbyggnad. Högt i tak, industriell vibe och högt. Intressant meny, nicka till New Orleans men inte de förutsägbara rätterna. För oss var förrätterna mer intressanta än huvudrätt, så vi rullade på det sättet och delade på en huvudrätt som var bra, men verkar som om ordningen tappades vilket tog riktigt lång tid. Dyr vinlista. Server ganska styv, inte vänlig alls. Priserna är rimliga för kvaliteten, om du gillar pastej gå för det här. Samma sak med nötkött tartar, inte för alla men de gör ett bra jobb med det.
