I visited this restaurant to celebrate my friend’s birthday, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, including appetizers and entrées like octopus, scallops, and lamb chops. The octopus was tender and perfectly seasoned, the scallops had a delicate sear and were cooked to perfection, and the lamb chops were juicy, flavorful, and well-prepared.

For dessert, we ordered a chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream to celebrate my friend’s birthday, and it was absolutely delicious—a perfect sweet ending to a wonderful meal. Everything we had was flawless; we have no complaints at all.

The customer service was outstanding, with the staff being friendly and attentive throughout the evening. The ambiance was warm, welcoming, and made the experience even more enjoyable. I loved everything about this place and will definitely be coming back again!

I had high expectation for Zaytinya and the food was absolutely delicious but the service and atmosphere could have been much better.

We ordered one drink and it showed up 30 minutes after our food showed up. The atmosphere was also not amazing.

But we did wipe our plates clean. They gave us some carrots and cucumbers as a gluten free option to replace the pita.

The food was really delicious, although the portions were small.

The pita bread with olive oil is excellent while waiting for the main dish.

We celebrated my wife's birthday here in August. We ordered the Chef's Tasting menu. Everything was So Delicious and cooked to perfection. The fried calamari was amazing. The Octopus was beyond Words. Our server did an incredible job with our service. He was very knowledgeable about Jose Andres and his passion for cooking. We highly recommend this Food Experience.

It’s modern, light, and beautiful inside. We went for lunch and it was full, but we were able to get a high top table near the bar for 2 without a wait. We ordered the lamb pita off the lunch menu, which comes with a cucumber/tomato salad, and it was delicious (amazing as I don’t usually love pita sandwiches or gyros). The brussel sprouts in garlic yogurt were also excellent - light and crispy, not greasy or mushy. And the “spirit-free” lemonade we got with a dash of orange blossom was delicious. The only dish we didn’t like was the hummus with lamb, but they took that off our bill since we barely touched it, so that was nice. Service was prompt and unobtrusive. They do serve a very thin kind of pita with oil for free when you sit - which is nice though it wasn’t my favorite. We would definitely go back, and probably try at flatbread. Note they call the dishes “small plates” but we thought they were pretty generous so I wouldn’t order 4 for 2 people as our server suggested. Two was enough for us.

Vår servitör var helt klart en amatör och hade inte tränats ordentligt, och såg slarvigt. Vi var tvungna att be om våra drinkar tre gånger. Vi bad om att maten skulle skickas ut en i taget, allt kom på en gång. Kammusslorna var råa inuti och vi var tvungna att skicka tillbaka dem. Maten var ärligt talat bara okej. Det är synd också rapportera detta men jag tror inte att vi kommer att komma tillbaka igen när vi är nästa i D.C.

Servicen var utmärkt. Det skulle bara överträffa maten. ! Vi gjorde kockarnas val och parningen av vinerna! Jag skulle visa er bilder på vad vi åt, men varje gång vi grävde i maten insåg vi halvvägs genom att vi glömde att ta en bild! Det var unikt smakfullt, och det var mycket mat! Vår server förklarar varje rätt, regionen och ingredienserna det var fantastiskt!

Mycket god mat och Service. Det är trångt så du behöver en bokning, eller så kan du sitta i baren, som vi gjorde. 
Bartendern var mycket uppmärksam och maten kom mycket snabbt. Vi delade på de tre dopparna (humus, tzatziki och babaganosh) , Fattoush och kebobtallriken. Gott om mat för två personer. Det var lite bullrigt, men det kan man förvänta sig i en stor restaurang som denna.

Vi var glada att prova en annan Andres Group restaurang. Pojken tog betalt som om den hade kastat ut en till. Det var fullt upp ändå var vi inte bortblåsta. En bra maträtt - rödpepparhummus var exceptionell.

Stannade till för lunch som en paus från turnerande museer på en brutalt varm dag. 

 - Atmosfär: mycket modern, massor av ljus, ren och cool. Bara en mycket trevlig "vibe".

 - Service: vänlig, informativ och tålmodig som vi granskade menyn. Måltid serveras snabbt. Checka ins för att säkerställa att allt gick smidigt. Vi tog ut tid och kände oss aldrig stressade. Endast glitch: Jag beställde ett varmt te, min vän beställde en kall dryck. Hennes dryck levererades omedelbart. Måltiden anlände och teet hade ännu inte serverats: Jag avbokade precis ordern. Ingen stor sak. 

 - Mat: min vän fick en sallad och tunnbröd. Jag har sauterade räkor. Hon sa att hennes var utmärkt, men jag är säker på att min var ännu bättre! Såsen var så smakrik! Mums! 

En smula på den dyra sidan, men med tanke på kvaliteten på måltiden och det goda Jose Andres gör genom World Central Kitchen, har vi råd med det!

Kom för happy hour för första gången häromdagen. Först var lite besviken på bristen på HH mat val - de enda matvarorna på HH menyn var pides - konformade platt bröd med pålägg. I sny fall eftersom det var 4 av oss beställde vi bara en var av pides - det fanns 5 smaker. De blev faktiskt jättebra. Bra storlek och utsökt på bara $ 6 vardera. Enda är för HH kan du bara sitta i baren inte ens baren området höga bord och platser är lite begränsade. Men glad att vi provade pides som inte var vad jag brukar beställa när man åker dit innan men kommer att beställa dem igen nästa gång.

Det som brukade vara en högljudd, rautisk stadsfavorit för älskare av utsökt medelhavsmat har förvandlats till en fabrik för mat för att hantera sitt överfulla utrymme där superkrafter krävs för att höra. Subtiliteten i smakkombinationer ersätts av tråkiga look alikes som dyker upp snabbt så att du kan beställa nästa mezze. Och portionerna är ännu mindre än tidigare. Hela upplevelsen handlade mer om att buga för restaurangerna krävde minimal konsumtion av mezze på bekostnad av din plånbok. Det är som att gå på dina tonåringars favoritrockkonsert - du kanske minns en liknande upplevelse när du var tonåring men du svär att musiken var bättre då och din hörsel återvände nästa dag.

Vi har varit här några gånger men sist vi trodde att maten och servicen var under genomsnittet. Vi trodde vi hade en ledig kväll. 

Vi åkte tillbaka ikväll - och återigen hade dålig service och välsmakande men som varmt i bästa fall. Halloumin skulle ha fått men var cool att röra vid. Brasinon borde ha varit varm men var något varmare än rumstemperatur. Auberginen var god men inte heller varm. Blomkålen var god men precis som varm. 

Det är som om maten spelas och bara sitter i köket och väntar på en server. Ingenting förbereddes specifikt fyra ordning. 

Atmosfären är trevlig och hip - och ljus. Så jag gav den 3 istället för 2 stjärnor. 

Rekommenderas inte. 

Vi reste bara för att komma hit och blev torkade så vi åt och åkte. Men vi kommer inte tillbaka.

Restaurangen dolde mig Google recension, så jag klistrar in det här. 

Tydligen kan du sälja skräpmat när du har bra inredning och berömmelse av en berömd kock. 

Vi gick och åt lunch nyss och beställde branzino och bläckfisk - en stor besvikelse. Branzino hade torrt kött, mjuk hud och saknade smak. Valet av grönsaksparning var fruktansvärt också. Konsistensen på rakad fänkål passade inte bra till fisk och skaldjur i allmänhet, och vilka grönsaker de än lade som inte anges på menyn var så bitter. Bläckfiskrätten var lite bättre, men överlag fortfarande inte värt priset. Jag gillade ärtpurén och huvuddelen av tjocka bläckfiskben med lite grillad smak och krispighet. Ändarna på bläckfiskbenen var dock alla brända, 100 % - bittra och - smuliga brända. 

En annan synvinkel: Bordet bredvid oss hade massor av rester men ville inte ta ut maten heller.

Maten var fantastisk! Personalen verkade rusa runt och försöka sitta och serva alla vilket skapade en stressig miljö. Rekommenderar reservationer långt fram om du vill äta vid en normal måltid.

Fantastisk mat i mycket trendig restaurang som är obehagligt HÖGT. Om du inte kan få en plats utanför (vilket är mycket trevligt) , planera inte att ha en konversation förrän du lämnar platsen. Ljudnivån - - som kunde minskas med bättre inredning för att mjuka upp de hårda ytorna - - gjorde det till en mycket mindre trevlig upplevelse än det kunde ha varit. Den utmärkta maten förtjänar bättre atmosfär.

Detta var det perfekta stället att dela små, läckra tallrikar med mat! Mina kollegor och jag åt här efter ett möte och älskade allt om denna plats. Vi delade på hummus, falafel, spanakopita, svampkapnista, druvblad och det förkolnade auberginetunnbrödet, och allt var superbt! Elegant men ändå icke - kvav miljö och riktigt vänlig personal. Det var super upptagen när vi åt här, så vår mat tog lite tid att komma fram, men vi hade inget emot att vänta.

Har inte varit i Zaytinya på ett tag nu och idag hittade jag en möjlighet när jag lämnade porträttgalleriet - det började snöa och detta är bokstavligen tvärs över gatan så vi hamnade alla här för lunch. Vid ett var stället packat trots att det var mitt i veckan och vi tog det sista bordet som fanns (övervåningen var inte öppen). Menyn verkade lite mer begränsad från när jag var här senast men det fanns några goda smörgåsar och salladsalternativ. Vi åt lamm- och kycklingdurum och sallad med lax, allt väldigt gott och mättande - som vanligt fick jag ta med hälften av min smörgås hem vilket är ett plus då jag nu har något färdiglagat till middag. Servicen var ok, lite avslappnad vilket inte nödvändigtvis är en dålig sak. Detta är förmodligen en av de mest populära restaurangerna i DC och det är inte svårt att se varför - attraktiv miljö med glasväggar och massor av naturligt ljus, trevlig atmosfär, god och hälsosam mat. Alltid ett val ställe att ta ut ur staden besökare.
