Such an incredible dining experience. Kosen is a work of art, and I am so thrilled  to have this caliber of a restaurant in my backyard. This was the best fish I have ever had. My husband and I struggled to land on a favorite dish because it was that hard to choose because every dish was just  phenomenal.

Went for anniversary dinner on a Thursday evening and did the 10- Course Kaiseki.

Overall experience was pleasant. The staff was attentive, and service was prompt, although the conversations felt forced and not so relaxed.
The decor was intimate and elegant with Asian influence.

Each course was perfectly portioned, well curated, and nicely timed. Presentation was also beautiful.
On the second course, the hassun, the oyster preparations was presented in the shell of the oyster, but there was a pretty big fragrant of the sharp shell in the spoonful. Thankfully I was able to catch and spit it out. This is a pretty dangerous mishap if swallowed.
My second critique is of the lamb. It was a VERY fatty portion of the meat, did not have enough char and frankly the meat was too rare for my taste, and I usually like my meat medium rare.
The other items were delicious. My favorite of the night was madai in dashi cream.

Overall a good experience.

After learning that the restaurant had received a Michelin star, we were eager to try Kaiseki Omakase; however, our experience fell below our expectations.

Having tried various Omakase options in different cities, including Tokyo, many of which have earned Michelin stars, we expected this restaurant to meet our high standards, especially given its higher price point. While we appreciated the non-alcoholic drink pairing, which added an interesting twist to the meal and complemented the food for a unique experience, Omakase's overall quality and taste did not justify the cost.

We appreciate the staff, especially Andrea and Mike, for thoroughly explaining each dish. The ambiance was trendy and minimalistic, with Asian influences, creating a sleek atmosphere. We also found the staff very welcoming.

Did the omakase dinner here and it was fantastic. 20+ courses. Fine dining of course. The pictures do not do it justice. The chef was great as was the service. We also were there with a great group which made it extra special. I highly recommend.

It has a star for a reason. Exquisite experience. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The food was unique and served like pieces of art. Every dish was a delight for all four senses. If you are in the area, you should visit at least once.
