This is a popular Mexican restaurant, little did we know that reservations are strongly recommended here. There were a couple of reserved tables unoccupied when we arrived. It was raining, so outside seating really wasn't an option. We ended up getting a table after preceding to eat at the bar. There's three different areas of seating. This is a fairly small comfy bar restaurant. It has a young modern vibe, with upbeat music. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was fresh and tasty. Serving sizes are on the smaller side. Prices are a little high based on quantity, but quality makes up for the margin. Their house margarita was nice. Something unique here and enjoyable is a peanut chili sauce when you order the nachos with guacamole. This is a good place for smaller groups or couples.

Formerly called Hoja Taqueria, this spot was bought out by the Generator Hotel a few months ago.. but they kept the staff and everything the same

This place is actually GOOD. Which is no surprise given the featured recommendation in Michelin guide

I rank this top two Mexican spots in Miami.. probably the best one on the beach. Hands down

Must get
-the burnt habanero salsa.. (mind bending good!)
-flautas (crispy, succulent, juicy with the right amount of sauce and salsas.. )
-horchata (made in house and actually really good!)
-believe it or not, the rice and beans. They’re always consistently TASTY

Usual order are the tacos.. catch of the day has often been cod. Which has ALWAYS hit the spot so far

The tres leches is pretty solid too!!

Btw shout out to Ron, the bartender, for taking good care of us. The Sunday crew is the best (especially kitchen team on Sundays)

The American Breakfast was delicious!
Can’t remember the waiter name he was the best!  Floria the female waitress was very Rude! She picked a fight with me over $2 toast! She needs more training in customer service.

This is a hidden gem in the Miami food scene! We really enjoyed the mushroom / vegetarian burrito, and the outdoor seating. The burnt habanero salsa was more hot than spicy, I wouldn’t repeat that. But overall, must visit for burrito enthusiasts!
