We ordered too much for just 2 of us, but it was good to try so many different dishes. I would recommend the cold plates and sea bass ceviche. Service was great as was the atmosphere.

If you want to kick off date night, or just want the perfect place to end a night, Cabra is a great choice for all that and everything in between. The bar is amazing and each dish is a masterpiece. The scallops were a standout and the chicken thighs are a dream.

Beautiful rooftop spot in West Loop with delicious food. The atmosphere was great and the staff was very gracious during our time at Cabra. We ordered the shrimp ceviche, chorizo queso dip, avocado dip, yucca, ahi tuna with potatoes, and the chicken skewers. We also had the pisco sour cocktail which was delicious.

The food was delicious, but similar to their sister restaurant duck duck goat- if you want tastier and more authentic food, this isn't the spot for you. It is more about the atmosphere than the food. The food is adapted to the Chicagoan palette like many other restaurants here.

Very very good.

We went on the weekend for lunch without a reservation and were lucky to have a seat with views.

We ordered empanadas, ceviche, lomo saltado, a dessert and pisco sour. Everything was well prepared and presented nicely. We really enjoyed lomo saltado and the pisco sour.

Would definitely recommend.

When I can’t sleep at night, I think about the brunch that I had at Cabra a few weeks ago. It was warm, sunny, the plants on the patio were ever so slightly dancing in the breeze. The furniture was incredibly comfortable and colorful and perfect. We felt like we had the place to ourselves even though the place was half full. Our server was friendly, patient, borderline angelic. The food?! Instead of doing progressive muscle relaxation like my therapist has been begging, I think about the first bite I had of that rascally life changing omelette. The Salchipapas that made me forget I was married. The Crab Causa that whispered in my ear Hey, hey……hey…..ssshhhhhhhhh. Anyway it was
one of the most memorable brunches ever and I can’t wait to go back. And behave normally.

Utmärkt service, mat och atmosfär. Vi möttes varmt av värdinnan och sittande. Vår servitris var snäll och kunnig om menyn. Pisco sours var det bästa vi någonsin har haft (inklusive under vår peruanska semester) . Alla rätter var fräscha, smakrika och perfekt presenterade. Vi kommer definitivt tillbaka!

Maten är unik. Vi fick 5 rätter till oss 3 som vi inte kunde avsluta allt vi beställt. De flesta rätter är små men några var rikligt. Räkcevichen var mycket god, vilket gav var och en av oss att ha en 
några tuggor var. Vi beställde också anksalladen som vi alla njöt av. Sedan njöt vi av räk- och calamarirätten, vilket var trevligt. Vi fick också strängbönorna, som hade en jordnötssås, tyckte jag var lite tunga men rikliga. Vår sista rätt var fläsklägget, som kom med utsökt kryddad pita och flera olika såser. Detta var gott och ganska rikligt. Vi hade rester av fläsk och bönor vilket är tillräckligt för att vår son ska få en annan måltid från rester. Alkoholhaltiga drycker är mycket dyra, men populära. Baren var extremt upptagen. 
Restaurangen var packad och reservationer ett måste.

Cabra är en bra tapasrestaurang! Restaurangen hade massor av bra, naturligt ljus, med mycket växter. Maten var bra, trots att personligen inte hade en preferens för tapasrätter. Drycker och övergripande service var dock riktigt bra! Jag är glad att vi besökte och upplevde det. Om du är ett fan av tapas kommer du att älska denna restaurang. Vi gjorde en reservation.

Den övergripande upplevelsen var trevlig, och restaurangen hämtar inspiration från kock Stephanie Izard. Platsen har en stor atmosfär, särskilt under dagen, med en modern atmosfär.

Restaurangen erbjuder sittplatser på både bottenvåningen och första våningen. Om du besöker under dagen, skulle jag rekommendera att sitta på första våningen för att göra det mesta av atmosfären. Men den udda inredningen med underkläder som visas på väggarna nära hissen var lite ovanligt.

Jag åt middag här i fredags med familj och vänner. Servitrisen var förtjusande och gav oss rekommendationer om mängden mat för vårt parti. Hon var klockren. Mat och cocktails var utsökt. Härlig stämning!

Cabra är alltid i toppklass. Vi kom för brunch och lämnade nöjda och fulla av deras drömska empanadas. Personalen är utmärkt. Drinkarna är fantastiska och maten gudomlig. Vi beställde en rätt som var tung på avokadon och kocken hade skurit upp en avokado som inte var klar och den var stenhård, man kunde inte ens skära den. När vi nämnde detta för vår server, vispade han bort det och tog fram en ersättningsrätt. Vi har bara någonsin haft bra måltider här – eklektisk och mumsig med fantastisk utsikt över taket. Rekommenderar starkt. Jag gillar alla deras måltider men brunch är vår familjefavorit.

Med alla "buts" ovan tycker jag fortfarande om några rätter som ceviche och tiraditas för tonfisk; men kommer troligen INTE att komma tillbaka.

Vi stannade på Hoxton, där denna restaurang var belägen, och eftersom vi älskar ceviche, kunde vi inte vänta med att komma. Maten var underbar och människor som söker hälsosamt ätande (dvs uber - färsk skaldjur, delikata ärtskidor, konstgjordt presenterade, se foton) kommer särskilt att hitta denna plats riktigt bra.

Min favorit var den traditionella ceviche. . . Vi beställde det två gånger och delade det. Shishito-paprika serverades hög staplade, tillräckligt för fyra att dela. Mangosorbeten var också läcker och mycket generös, och mer än 2 kunde dela detta också.

Trots att tjänsten var en ljummet, var vinstrån generösa. Atmosfären och utsikten var underbar. Sammantaget en fantastisk upplevelse. Vi kommer tillbaka!

Vi var lite oroliga när vi såg menyn. Men allt vi beställde var läcker och verkligen unik upplevelse! Våra favoriter: klassisk cerviche, solterito (med varm stekt ostbitar - yum), avokadodip, ahi de Gallina empanadas och särskilt de grillade shishito paprika (inte för heta - missa inte den här). Utan ifrågasätt missa inte den mjuka serveringsvirvlingen till efterrätten. Den bästa glassen någonsin (mango) med pålägg. En av de bästa desserterna någonsin. Fantastisk utsikt över staden, utmärkt service.

Stämningen och vyerna är mycket trevliga. Funky ljusa restaurang på ett utmärkt läge. Servicen och maten var dock mycket genomsnittliga, vår servitör var inte särskilt motiverad och förklarade verkligen inte rätter väl (många som jag inte visste vad de var). Maten kunde ha haft mer smaksättning och trevligare presentation. Det finns mycket bättre peruanska restauranger i Chicago.

Min man och jag besökte brunch den senaste lördagen. Vissa rätter var bättre än andra, och menyn är ganska förvirrande. Jag vet ganska mycket om mat men det här kunde ha varit lite mer förklaring för att underlätta beställningen. Kryddig tonfiskhandrulle på special var utsökt! Vi beställde också två andra rätter men jag kunde inte ens berätta vad de kallades. Intressant mat, bra kvalitet, men definitivt lite på den dyra sidan. Jag brukar inte spendera över $ 100 för brunch, på tre rätter, men jag skulle överväga att gå tillbaka till middag. Atmosfären är vacker men tycker också att den lider lite av att vara "platsen att ses".

Det var min reaktion när min peruanska andra hälften berättade för mig vad ordet menade i hans hemland.

Du behöver bara se så långt som Wikipedia för att lära dig att ordet egentligen är en mycket offensiv slur som används mot homosexuella i Peru. Typ av ord som säkert skulle bojkottas om dess mening var känt i USA. Så det faktum att denna restaurang namngav Cabra berättar frågan: Var någon undersökning i denna restaurang alls? Var några peruaner faktiskt rådfrågad om maten eller, ja, vad som helst?

Min gissning är nej. Särskilt efter att ha ätit där. Jag vet ganska mycket om peruanska livsmedel, har varit i landet cirka femton gånger och har en svärmor som lagar en verkligt stellar version. Maten serveras på Cabra är inget nära. Huancaina sås är till exempel en delikat blandning av Amar Amar, Queso Fresco och mjölk. Restaurangen version är mer som osten du skulle hitta på nachos vid Wrigley Field. Avokado dip serveras med salsa på toppen så det blir en vattnig mush. Kjol saltado (de tar på peruanska klassiska lomo saltado) förvandlas till en fajita-liknande maträtt med röd paprika. Jag fattar. Kocken medger att hon inte försöker återskapa äkta peruanska mat. Och det verkar som att hon bara gick till Peru en gång i två veckor bara några månader innan restaurangen öppnade. Men då, varför kalla det peruanska alls?

Cabra är inte peruanska. Det är bara ett annat projekt från Stephanie Izard att folk kommer att flockas till, ja, getter.

Kulinariska influenser från Peru, delar av Asien, definitivt en välsmakande upplevelse. Menyn kan vara förvirrande för kunder som inte är bekanta med det peruanska köket, men servrarna är utbildade för att vägleda dig. Älska friluftsutrymmet. Takbädd ingår.

Det fanns fyra av oss till middag på en tisdagskväll. Vi hade reservationer och var sittande så snart vår hela partiet visade sig. Vår server var mycket trevlig och hjälpsam med hennes rekommendationer. Vi beställde Hirame som hade stor smak men var en mycket liten del; Hamachi var en speciell den natten och det var utsökt. Vi hade också Beef Heart som var mycket bra och perfekt storlek portion för fyra av oss. Rökta get Empanadas var läckra men konsensus från bordet var att det behövde mer fyllning och mindre skorpa. Tabellen favorit var Chicharron del Puerco som var helt utsökt. Till dessert hade vi söta potatisdoughnuts som var det perfekta slutet till en stor måltid. Definitivt kommer tillbaka som mat och service för en utmärkt middagsupplevelse.
