After dinning out 7 of the 8 nights I was in Chicago, I am glad I saved this place for last, or I would not have gone anywhere else!

I forgot to take a picture of the menu but started with a caviar style fried app that popped and melted in your mouth, it was amazingly delicious!

The Onion Rings were not only the best Onion Rings that I have ever had, but the best Onion of any type, served anyway. It's an absolutely perfect appitizer. If you go here and don't order these, you do not care for your mouth, stomach, or soul enough!

The biscuit appitizer was so thick, yet soft and warm, and filled with flavor from the top to bottom.

The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned.

The pasta was cooked just right, and the sauces on the pasta, and every other dish really made them pop with just the right amount of intensity.

In short: go here, order biscuits and onion rings, enjoy, then repeat!

Great food and service! We ordered family-style to split everything. The menu is small but mighty. We started with the jalapeño biscuit which is served with a sweet butter. The onion rings were good but too crisp and nothing special, I wouldn’t order again. The bucatini was delicious and creamy with the right balance of heat. The tagliatelle has a generous amount of crab in a sauce with a kick. The flank steak was done to perfection and a good way to end the meal. It was served with a hickory side salad which was too bitter for our tastes but the vinaigrette it was served with was great!

The only downside was that the tables are incredibly close together. Our table had to be moved away every time the people at the table next to us got up to use the restroom which was disruptive to our meal and experience. As the person on the inside booth seat, I knew I was stuck behind the table for the duration of the meal.

This charming spot in Chicago is a must-visit. We opted for the chef's counter, and it was an unforgettable experience.

But what really set it apart were two standout elements: the exceptional customer service and the incredible food.

If you're gluten-free, you'll be thrilled to know they went above and beyond by clearly marking the gluten-free options on the menu.

I rarely feel compelled to leave Google reviews--but I've never had a bad meal at Giant--and beyond that, every dish I've had has been exceptional. I've also had Brennan as a server a handful of times and want to give him enormous praise for being so perfectly lovely always!

Giant is good, but needs more consistency to be great. The Japanese eggplant is Giant’s standout dish, packing a sweet-savory, perfectly cooked punch of flavor, while the onion rings, broccolini, and trout roe bite all present solidly tasty, though less novel, offerings

The pastas are where Giant unfortunately underwhelms. The bucatini is their best offering, though the combination of bacon and anchovies in the sauce leans a bit too far on the salty side and could use more balance. The saffron & dungeness crab tagliatelle is a disappointment, as the sauce has an almost-acrid undertone and drowns out any of the crab’s sweetness. On the other side of the spectrum, the pansotti & gnudi are a surprisingly bland miss.

The tables inside are a bit tightly spaced, but the outdoor patio seating is much more comfortable. Service is great - very attentive and dishes are quite well paced out
