Starting of course the service was great , all staff were nice and helpful. Atmosphere is nice depends on the music and or the band. Now let’s get to the food. I am a fried chicken enthusiast and maybe I had a lot of expectations since it’s a southern restaurant. The chicken in my fried chicken was unseasoned just literally raw cooked chicken that haven’t been marinated or anything , and then breaded lightly and the breading is not great. The chicken tenders are a bit better but same remark that the seasoning is not great, Deviled eggs were just fine and the fried thing whatever in the pic was good , but overall the drinks were great the food unfortunately not, I hope to return and have a better experience, good luck I would say

Southern food in a new Orleans themed space. Nice rotating seasonal cocktail menu and the food overall is good.

Menu covers a nice spread and prices are fairly reasonable for the city.

It may have been a bit of an off night when we went,  but our server was pulled in a few too many directions and it was hard to flag them down. They were very nice others.

I absolutely had a great experience here. I took my sister for her birthday. We did outdoor seating. Wait staff were kind and helpful. First drink I had was the Ina Mae House Punch and I'd order that again and again. It came in a little skull pitcher and set the tone for the meal. We ordered deviled eggs. We were eating them so quick we barely got a picture. We tried the gumbo great but comes with potato salad. We thought we might hold that part. We had red beans and rice with sausage. We kept eating this and stuffing ourselves. It was great that day and when reheated the next day. We also had fried chicken. You can carry the flavor but I like mine plain. It was fried well in meal. I enjoy it then and as a leftovers. If you are on the go and eat out often then how leftovers taste matter. Finally we had a snowball and opted to make it boozy. If you do nothing else you can come here to make your own drunken treat.

My friend and I went on a Fri night. The place is small so I expected it to be a little crowded. When we got there we were told they were only accepting reservations at the time because they were fully booked. Which is understandable. The host offered us outside sitting which was a no for me because there were no heaters. So, eventually we got seats at the bar. I would like to point out we were there for about 1.5 hrs and at least 3 high tops and 1 table in the back by the band stayed empty for a hr. So much for those reservations. It's Halloween time so they have themed drinks, live music, and specials. My friend had the hurricane and witches brew and she said they did not skip on the alcohol, both are recommended. The fried catfish Po boy was seasoned well. The gumbo had great flavor. The crab cakes actually taste fresh without the fishy taste. The mac and cheese was ok. It was missing something. Red beans and rice were surprisingly flavorful. Highly recommend the crab and artichoke dip. Just in case you have to use the restroom, unfortunately you do have to walk down a flight of stairs to get to it.

NO happy hour for October! Food was delicious. Service was great. The place was decorated for Halloween - so cute! Live music! BUT what isn’t advertised online… unless I missed it… HAPPY HOUR NOT OFFERED MONTH OF OCTOBER.
Halloween themed drinks were delicious, cup decorations on point! Chicken strips were tasty and not dry! The potato salad side, yum! The hushpuppies, yum! Fried pickles… i probably wouldn’t get them again. Breading fell off and were soggy. Everything else, we loved! Definitely would come back for dinner. Would like to try other things on the menu.

Denna mat var komfort hela vägen. Vi landade här efter en lång dag av promenader och det var perfektion. Hushpuppies, gumbo, kex... Chef's Kiss. Servicen var utmärkt också.

Trevligt område i Wicker Park-området. Maten är cajun stil äter. Recepten kommer från gamla familjetraditioner. God mat och atmosfär med uppmärksam servitpersonal.

Så det är egentligen inte i New Orleans men det smakar säkert som det är. Älskarna är vårt nya förstahandsval. Gumboen var fantastisk! Den smutsiga ris ris var exakt scrumptious. Jättebra service! !

Här väntade vi smutsiga ris och pojkockar och vi måste betala för räkor och grits och beignets. Maten som vi hade var bra, men nästa gång vi vill ha Cajun / Nola hittar vi en plats som faktiskt serverar en Nola-lunch när det är lunchtid.

När jag såg denna restaurang på Instagram, var jag bara tvungen att besöka restaurangen strax efter landning i Chicago, det är också en relativt ny restaurang.

Jag älskar stekt fisk och var glad att ha sett Po Man Seafood Tower på Instagram. Jag anlände till restaurangen strax efter det öppnade och var snabbt sittande och väl tittat av chefen (vars namn jag inte kommer ihåg) och servitrisen Mikala, som tittade efter mig hela kvällen.

Som det var happy hour på fredagen, hade jag två olika cocktails för $ 5 var och beställde Po Mans Seafood Tower (Fried Räkor, Östers, Crawfish, Catfish, Hushpuppies och Crispy Potatis) för $ 40.

Det var ett torn och kunde lätt mata 3 personer, det var helt fantastiskt, inte att olja, på botten av högen var de krispiga potatisarna, som var täckta i härlig mörkfärgad majonnäs, det var sublimt.

Lita på mig denna plats är värt att kolla, de gör det också kokt också.

Älskade varje bit av min frukost! ! ! Kaffe var så bra också! Många mat i du väljer 3 alternativ (glöm namn). Rostad potatis. . . yum! ! ! Äggröra. . . yum! ! ! Atmosfären är väldigt kul och funky och hip. Server super vänlig och bra service!

Låt mig först säga att jag har bott i Louisiana de senaste 2 åren, men min familj är från Louisiana, så jag vet mycket om Louisiana kultur. Jag var upphetsad för lite Louisiana mat och min vän hade hyped platsen upp. Jag hittade Ina Mae att saknas på många sätt, en i inredning, jag fick inte en New Orleans-vibe från den. Jag hittade menyn att vara väldigt begränsad, och det jag beställde var inte så gott. Gritsen var super tjock, och några av våra måltider var kalla. Beignets smakade mer som traktkaka än beignets. Vi hade också några problem med kundtjänst, men vår servitör var mycket trevligt och ledningen riktade våra bekymmer. Det var en upplevelse att försöka, men jag skulle inte återvända.

Att skriva en negativ recension om denna plats gör mig ledsen. Jag älskar cajun mat och önskar ofta bra Gumbo. Det finns en brist på bra restauranger som ger denna mat i Chicago. Så när jag läste en recension i om Ina Mae var jag väldigt glad att prova det. Jag gick ungefär en timme efter att de öppnade på en halvveckas dag så att jag inte skulle vara i en folkmassa och förhoppningsvis kunna uppleva dem så gott som möjligt. Den bästa delen av erfarenheten var servitrisen. Hon försökte verkligen göra det här bra och var tvungen att arbeta mot ledningen för att rädda någonting. Platsen var inte trångt vid 6: 30. Många ansträngningar och kostnader gjordes för att ge platsen en del av autentiska Louisiana Roadhouse. Jag är inte allmänt in i en modern version av gammal, eftersom det inte finns någon patina till platsen. De får en A för arbete och deras meny är snygg och befolkade med bra saker. Okej de stora grejerna är inte bra! Så jag beställer en ovanlig, för states-side, cocktail. En variation av en Pimms Cup. Misstag! Inte hemskt, men inte att upprepas. Sedan säger jag: "Jag kom hit för Gumbo." Jag är tillsagd, "vi är ute av det." Platsen är nästan tom och de har inte ens börjat de upptagna kvällstimmarna och de är ute av Gumbo. Vi vet att de inte är "out of it" men inte har det. Hur driver du en plats som är baserad på cajun / kreolsk mat och inte har ett signaturobjekt som gumbo? Så ser jag på deras "Maes Signature Chicken". Det står tre stycken kyckling. Det finns två av oss som vill dela så vi frågar om vi kan få fyra stycken. Glad att betala en uppladdning trots att jag skulle ha det bra med att avgå bisquiet för det extra kycklingstycket, inga tärningar! Då ber vi om allt mörkt kött, igen, inga tärningar! Vid denna tidpunkt bestämmer vi oss för att bara ha våra drycker och gå någon annanstans till middag. att vilja ta emot enkla förfrågningar för att tillfredsställa kunderna. Verkar dumt för mig för en helt ny plats i ett hav av andra matställen. Efter en stund kommer vår servitris, välsigna sin själ, kommer tillbaka och säger att hon fick kocken att gå med på att ge oss fyra bitar av allt mörkt kött, "bara den här gången. "Pojke som fick oss att känna oss extra speciella! Stekt kyckling är ett saltartat föremål, men det här var borta från tabellerna. Tyvärr, att Pop-eyes har en överlägsen produkt. Så istället för att hitta en ny plats som är" gå till "För stor Cajun kontrollerar jag Ina Mae från min lista. De kan överleva ett tag med alla som gillar faux-inredningen och den stora menyn, men de ser mig gå runt hörnet för några av de bästa indiska / nepalesiska matarna i staden. Någon måste komma till Chicago och öppna en riktig New Orleans-stilrestaurang. Spara några $ på inredningen och spendera det på att få mat och service ethos ner. En dödande kunde göras.
