A must try restaurant in Chicago, highly rated and reviewed for good reason. A very unique breakfast and brunch and lunch menu. I highly recommend the “Tineka” sandwich- which includes the LULA special spicy peanut butter on fresh multi grain bread with so many other fresh flavors including the perfectly textured sprouts! Oh my goodness one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Service is very prompt and attentive. This place can be hard to get at a table on the weekends; easier during the weekdays for sure. Something to notice, they include a 20% service fee in the check, which they explain on a flyer thing when they drop the check. Overall great chill atmosphere, awesome music in the background and cool local art hanging on the walls. Delicious coffee ☕️ and lattes as well!

I got there just before 10. The place was already about half full. I ordered pancakes, scrambled eggs, and a hot latte. I was so happy that even though the pancake order comes with three pieces, you can choose to get one, two, or all three. I went with two, and thank goodness because the portions are pretty big!
The scrambled eggs were perfectly moist and delicious, and the latte art was super cute. Oh, and if you like adding sugar to your latte like I do, they have some nice brown sugar at every table.
Next to me was a father and daughter duo, and they gave the little girl some paper and crayons to keep her busy while they waited for their food. Such a nice touch!
By the time I left, the place was packed, and the staff were cheerfully greeting everyone, creating a really great vibe. If it’s your first time here, a heads up: they add a 20% tip directly to the bill, which is totally worth it. In fact, I ended up rounding up and paying in cash, telling them to keep the change—great dining experiences like this are priceless ❤️

Lula Cafe is a favorite place for us, it never disappoints. The menu is just overflowing with options, from the usual items to the daily specials and everything is memorable and excellent. I have a hard time deciding what to get whenever I come, but I am always happy with what I wind up having.

On this visit we enjoyed the beet bruschetta, just so many layers of flavor! My husband doesn't even like beets and he loved this dish. My husband had the breakfast burrito, so soft and filling! I couldn't get past the specials of the day and decided to go for one of those, I really enjoyed the decadent coconut tres leches french toast and I'm still daydreaming about it weeks later. The cookies are also absolutely to die for, unique flavor combinations with scrumptious textures, that's the pistachio almond cookie and I wish I had a box of them. Amazing. Treat yourself to one before you go! Also my husband absolutely loves the Concord grape sorbet, it is unique and so refreshing.

Special mention must be made to the staff, it's a tight space and everyone who works there is so pleasant and professional. Always a pleasure to visit. We will be back soon!

I had a solo brunch here while visiting Chicago, coming for the sole reason to get their breakfast burrito that was recommended online by others. It did not disappoint, and I must say it was huge, enough for two meals, at least for me. I also had their chai latte, which was lovely as well. Every worker I interacted with, including my server, was lovely, and I can see why they received the James Beard Award (2024) for hospitality. I highly recommend!

Great cafe with a nice indoor and outdoor seating situation. We came for lunch on Friday around noon. We checked in and then waited at the bar for about 15-20 minutes while waiting for a table to open. Service was mostly good throughout but the food was a mixed bag. Things we liked - the spicy Bloody Mary, the funky as a daisy (great daytime cocktail), the baked feta was delicious, the royale special and the French omelette. The chickpea tagine came out warm not hot and was incredibly oily. It had an unpleasant mouthfeel and when left undisturbed there was a fair amount of oil that separated and rose to the top. The spaghetti and turkey sandwich were fine but not great. Would still recommend this restaurant to friends with caveats for the items we didn’t enjoy.

Stor liten restaurang som ligger mitt på Logan Square, med en stor matsal uteplats samt ett par rum för inside dining. Vi valde interiör på grund av vägbyggen som inträffade direkt utanför byggnaden vid den tidpunkten. Servicen var utmärkt, och maten var utsökt. Två av oss hade den Franska omeletten gjord på ricottaost och solguldstomater, verkligen en av de bästa omeletter jag någonsin ätit. Den serverades med en sida av gröna och fänkålspollen toast (ärligt talat svårt att tugga). Rabarber majsmjöl scone med honung smör var mycket välsmakande. Mycket upptagen på vardagseftermiddagen vi var där, en klar favorit för många människor.

Var det första stoppet på en jubileumsresa, och den första av tre middagsbokningar vi gjorde eftersom vi hade läst mycket bra saker! 

Vi var på den tidiga sidan för middag så kunde njuta av happy hour (inte innan vissa kompletterande champagne) - hade öl och vin så ganska standard, men mycket nöjd med båda och stort värde! 

Tror att Rikki var vår server (ber om ursäkt till henne om jag har glömt) och hon var mycket uppmärksam under hela kvällen, körde oss genom menyn mycket tydligt och gick utöver hela natten. 

Vi hade Baked Feta och Beet/Berries salladen till att börja med, både goda och ganska lätta (beroende på hur mycket surdeg man har till fetan). Min fru hade hört bra saker om Pasta Yiayia innan vi gick, och vår server backade upp detta, och det gjorde ingen besviken! Genuint olik någon pasta jag ätit tidigare på bästa sätt - ett absolut måste om man kommer hit. Stekt kyckling var också mycket gott!

Lula kom med bra recensioner och detta stora café levde lätt upp till dem. Jag åt lätta och fluffiga pannkakor som var jättegoda. Kaffet var i toppklass också. Lika bra som jag har haft i Amerika.

Top notch lokal restaurang som har etableringsvibbar. Kom dit tidigt på helgen så kan du njuta av maten med minimal väntan.

Åkte på middag en lördagskväll, med en bokning. 

Fantastisk måltid! Så säsongsbetonat. Menyn hade ett stort urval av i - säsong snacks, aptitretare och huvudrätter och sedan en liten del av klassiker. Bra blandning av vegetariskt, fisk och kött alternativ. 

Maten var vacker och utsökt. Bland höjdpunkterna fanns focaccia, toppad med örter, kikärtspommes frites, med en vacker sås och säsongens pasta. 

Servicen var chill och mycket välkomnande. Trots att restaurangen är mycket upptagen, kände vi oss aldrig stressade. Servrar var mycket uppmärksam med vattenpåfyllning och minded en allergi vänligen. 

Trevlig atmosfär - café - gillar. Bullrigt dock.

Glömde jag ugnsbakad fransk feta med marinerade oliver med gurka, jalapenobasilikaolja och grillat bröd? Brunch smakade aldrig så gott.

Lula är ett ställe jag åker till varje månad. De serverar mina favoritpannkakor! Personalen är vänlig och atmosfären är öppen och välkomnande.

Inga reservationer för frukost, så var där så snart det öppnar för att få ett bord - - särskilt på helgerna. Inget jag någonsin har ätit till frukost, lunch eller middag besvikelser. Seriös mat, men lättillgänglig, avslappnad plats. Jag längtar tillbaka.

Jag gick till denna kvarterskrog för middag med en vän. Rätterna är inspirerade av medelhavsköket. Få ingredienser, bra kvalitet. Och portioner i europeisk stil, vilket innebär att inga fullt staplade tallrikar. Mycket vänlig service.

Maten var bra. Servicen var acceptabel. Mycket dyrt och de lägger till 20% dricks automatiskt vilket vi visste går in. SE UPP för bedrägerier när servrarna bestämmer sig för att lägga till ytterligare tips utan din vetskap.

Denna plats var allt vi förväntade oss och mer! Maten var fantastisk. Vi beställde kyckling ärt pommes frites som var krispig perfektion. Vi beställde också fläskrätten som hade persikor med sig som de är i säsong. Vinutbudet var också bra. Vår server var mycket vänlig och hon var snabb också. Jag skulle definitivt gå tillbaka och rekommenderar det! ! !

Den bästa brunchen! Allt var spektakulärt. Inget gjorde oss besvikna. Vår nya plats för njutning. Vi kommer tillbaka igen.
