Great experience staying at the Majestic Hotel. We received a free room upgrade upon arrival, and were pleased with the conditions of the room. Some more "cozy" hotels have musty sheets, but this one did not. The bathroom was tidy and there was no dust. Parking is in an underground ramp nearby, and it feels like valet parking! You do need to pay to park, but it's Chicago and that's expected. Only thing to note is the walls are a bit thin and the doors do not seal around the edges, but we did not have any safety concerns.

A very cute and quaint little hotel. The common area was really beautiful and charming. My room was somewhat small but perfect for one person. Having a snack and beverage bar in the room was very useful. Everything was very clean and the bed was comfortable.

The wallpaper was indeed peeling and patchy and the room had a fragrance that reminded me of my grandpa’s attic (in a pleasant nostalgic way), but it’s an old building and the price is affordable. Plus the bathroom was nicely updated and well stocked with soaps and lotions in modern dispensers, so they put money into modernizing the rooms in the ways that mattered.

Had an excellent three night stay at the Majestic.  Room was reasonably sized and well maintained.  Spotless.  Everything worked, good water pressure, etc.  Staff was universally upbeat and helpful.  They hire well.  Nice little baseball themed (close to Wrigley) common area.  The carpet in the hallways is due for replacement, but unless that's going to cause you to lose sleep, this is an excellent choice close to the lake.

The hotel is under some renovations but even with this, our stay was great. The room was just the right size, clean and comfortable. The front desk clerk was always friendly. The elevator is very small, but we gathered in close and had fun with it every time. Great decor and close to Wrigley Field! Lots of shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance.

Overall we enjoyed our stay - we used the room mostly as a staging area while we were in the city. The room itself was nothing special, the wallpaper was peeling, the shower didn't drain consistently, and the toilet was slow to flush. But the bed was comfortable and overall it was fine for what we needed it for.

The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The common room area was warm and inviting, and the location was very convenient. We'd stay again if the price was right.
