First time here and really loved how sweet the staff was. Our waiter had amazing recommendations and the flavors were unique not only with the food but with the drinks. Mussels and fries was a favorite, the broth it’s in is insane. Will be back!

Went for brunch and had a great time—tried maybe the best shrimp/breakfast burrito I've ever had while the tuna tostada was fresh and very flavorful. Big fan all around and plan to come back soon for dinner.

Everyone was very friendly, and I enjoyed each dish! I had the pleasure of trying mussels for the very first time, and they were simply incredible (I forgot to take a photo, but I’d definitely recommend). Additionally, the  touch of fruit in many of the dishes added a lovely freshness. The coconut ice cream was a killer finish to my dinner. Overall, I had a wonderful night here!

Haven’t been this excited about a new restaurant since…Obelix. The Poilevey brothers did it again! Every dish was not only full of flavor, they were also beautiful to look at. We especially loved the sardines tostada and wood fired camarones, but really there were no misses at our dinner. While they did supply 3 different types of salsa, the dishes didn’t need them.

This restaurant also possibly had the highest number of waiters/runners we’ve seen at any post-pandemic restaurant. As a result we were taken great care of, water glasses never ran low, clean plates/utensils. Our server was fantastic in guiding us through the very colorful menu. We ended the night with delicious ice creams which didn’t get photographed but were creamy and decadent as expected. Prices are obviously higher than your neighborhood Pilsen taqueria but food quality & service were elevated so worth a visit (or two)!

We were excited to try Mariscos San Pedro, the new spot everyone’s been buzzing about. I went with my boyfriend, and we chose to sit at the bar. I stepped away to use the bathroom, but there were only two available, and I ended up waiting about 10 minutes since both were occupied. By the time I returned, my boyfriend had just received the menu and water—10 minutes after we sat down.

To be honest, the bartender wasn’t the friendliest at first and made us feel a bit unwelcome. We were hoping for a little more warmth. However, as the night went on and we asked for some recommendations, the bartender seemed to warm up and became friendlier, which was a relief.

As for the food, it was okay but could have used a bit more flavor. The salsas they offered, especially the salsa negra, definitely enhanced the experience. We ordered two drinks, one tostada, one queso, one ceviche, and two tacos, which came to about $100. One thing to note: we ordered the corn rajas nopales and ended up with something that was more like a queso fundido with corn and nopales. It was tasty, but the menu could be more specific, especially since my boyfriend is lactose intolerant, and we couldn’t fully enjoy it. Although the bartender had asked about allergies, we didn’t mention it, so that’s on us—but a clearer menu description would help others in the future.

The ambiance of Mariscos San Pedro is beautiful, but overall, it felt a bit overpriced for the experience we had.
