Dining at Roop was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Each dish on the tasting menu was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of vibrant flavors. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care goes into every bite.

The service was truly above and beyond. Not only was our server attentive and knowledgeable, but every staff member around us was eager to assist, creating an atmosphere of genuine hospitality.

The cocktail pairing was another highlight of the evening. Each drink was expertly crafted—balanced, not overly strong, and perfect for those with a more delicate palate.

This was, without a doubt, one of the best tasting menus we’ve experienced in Chicago. We’re already looking forward to our next visit and can’t recommend it highly enough!

Food was fantastic and innovative. We loved the flavor combinations. The only thing we didn’t absolutely love with the main butter chicken course. We personally just didn’t care for the flavor combo of the rice. That’s probably on us though, and our unsophisticated palates. However, no notes for the rest of the meal. The manager was really gracious - we told him how much we loved the first course and he brought us out another round of it for free. The desserts were especially delicious and, since we were there for our anniversary, they gave us an *additional* (delicious) dessert to celebrate. 10/5 recommend. Good amount of food/courses for the price. Don’t miss out!

Loved the appetizers!! (Good to share between 2 adults)
The entrees are alright. 2 entrees can be shared among 3 adults. Breads are excellent!
Ambience is very well done.
I would go back to try drinks and other apps.

Overall, the food is great but it’s adapted to a non-indian palette, so spices are low, flavors are not very differentiated even though the base of sauces are different.

This is the second time I come here with my husband and friends and each time has been such an amazing, wonderful experience!.
They have 2 floors and a bar in each one. The 1st floor has a bit more of a party vibe and the second floor feels more intimate and quiet.
RESERVATIONS ARE RECOMMEND FOR MORE THEN 3 people.
The staff is super friendly and took very good care of us both times we came.
Each item on the menu was a 10/10!. The cocktails here are no joke! Not only are they delicious, they pack a nice punch too(in a good way).
I enjoyed every single item we had to eat and drink.
I 100% recommend this place!. By far one of the BEST UPSCALE INDIAN RESTAURANT IN CHICAGO I have tried.

Smaller plates tasted amazing. Both veg and non veg options were really good. In the Larger plates, salmon was tasty but butter chicken could've been better. Also, there needs to be an overall improvement in service mainly with ur cleaning staff. They shouldn't Bug customers while eating n trying to remove plates repeatedly.
