Great location, spacious rooms, amazing design of hotel lobby. Feels like you in Paris.
Hotel doesn’t have any breakfast available on weekends, restaurant and bar open only until 10 pm.
The best person and very helpful was a door man, front people very layback, not jumping to assist you. Also when we checked out at 4 am was no one at front area.
3 start for location and very friendly doorman.

The Blackstone hotel is absolutely stunning in every way. From the moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by an ambiance that blends classic elegance with a rich history. The stories behind this hotel are incredibly interesting and add so much character to the experience.

The bed was unbelievably comfortable—I had the best night’s sleep. The staff were also exceptionally nice, making me feel welcome and well taken care of throughout my stay.

The location couldn’t be more perfect for exploring Chicago. It’s centrally located, making it easy to get around the city and visit all the key attractions.

If you’re looking for a place that offers both luxury and a deep connection to Chicago’s history, The Blackstone is the place to stay!

I do not recommend this hotel at all, it does not give you a luxury experience as shown in the pictures. You might think you’ll experience a luxurious time since it used to be a historic mansion but that’s not the case. when you arrive the hotel, you are expected to unload your luggage from the vehicle by yourself, there are no staff members to assist with that. When you park your car in front of the hotel you have to chase the valet to take your car and park it instead of them being present to do their job. Valet takes a long time to bring back your car. Valet is not available 24/7 and one time I arrived back at 2am there was no one to park my car. I asked the front desk receptionist for help to see if there’s anything she can do, she told me that she will call the valet in Hilton hotel to see if I can have my car parked there. Three minutes later she calls back saying that Hilton’s parking garage is full so I go ahead and call them myself and they inform me that they have plenty of open spaces to park my car.

The fridge in the room is very small and doesn’t get the food cold enough. Complementary bottled water is not available. you would have to go all the way to the hydration station which’s only available on the sixth floor or lobby. I have never had such an unpleasant and uncomfortable experience at a hotel like this before. I am not satisfied with my stay at all. I am here for a work trip so after a long day of working i would expect to come back to a nice hotel.

Disappointing experience and unlike other Autograph collections I’ve been to!

+The service was not good and very few of the 5+ staff I interacted with showed signs of hospitality. They seemed visually annoyed to be there, except one of the valets
+No water bottles available at this hotel. It was a pain to go get water at the stupid paid water dispenser downstairs. Having access to drinking water at the room is like one of the basic things you’d expect to have at any hotel
+ there is no room service. really? Totally impacted our experience there during our stay. I feel sorry I discovered this too late and only when we got there.

We stayed at this hotel for academic professional meetings this weekend, and circumstances following caused us to leave a day early, while still being required to pay the early termination fee of the full stay. #2 was so bad we could not sleep more than half the night, so we decided that it would be better to leave than go through it a third night of the same.

1. When we arrived, the room we had booked had been switched with an inferior room (queen instead of king), but as they would not refund the difference, they gave us an accessible room with a king. This is fine, but they shouldn’t have tried to bait and switch because they overbooked.
2. Every night we would wake up after a few hours with both of us having difficulty breathing as if our throats were swelling, and could no longer sleep. The air smelled like it was tainted with vegetable water during the stay, which an online search suggests indicates mold in the AC. We travel a lot and have never had this reaction at any other hotel.
3. The microwave graciously brought to the room was broken.

When we said we had to leave early because the experience at the hotel was poor, no inquiry was made by the staff. We will not return again. I would sooner pay double elsewhere.
