I dined in with my brother on Monday. Everything was outstanding. Of course, we got the signature roasted duck which was out of this world. The cocktails and appetizer were fantastic as well. Thank you Mark for your amazing hospitality and suggestions!

I think the food was good, but for the price, the portion for the main dishes was a bit small if you're planning to share. The duck wings and cheesecurds for appetizers were great though. Definitely get the duck wings. We got the gnocchi (my favorite), peach wellington (pretty good but not breathtaking), duck inn dog (also pretty good but we liked the whoopskidog from Superdawg more), and the crispy chicken thighs. The chicken thighs had a nice crispy sear on top while still being very tender and juicy, and we enjoyed the mushrooms and sauce that came with it. Our only complaint with that dish was that the chicken didn't have as much flavor as we wanted. We ordered the miso butterscotch mousse which tasted really very good, but the texture threw us off because it was way more set/gelatinous than we expected. If the dessert had been called a pudding instead, I think we would've liked it more. Also ordered the chocolate beignet. The banana icecream on top with the peanuts and sauce were SO good, but again, we think they should've called the dish something else,  because the chocolate "beignet" was more like a mug cake. It was not a fluffy doughy beignet. Overall, 8/10 good flavors but small portion sizes were a bit too small, and their desserts were a little misleading.

We ordered our Thanksgiving meal from Duck Inn and it was delivered the day before. It exceeded expectations, with the exception of the seafood tower which was pretty average. Everything was amazing and we’ll be ordering again next year

You can taste the high quality of the spices in the beef sandwich au jus.

Scrumptious cheese curds.

The burger is 100% a McDonald's Big Mac if they actually served what you saw as the ideal in the commercial.

The hot dog was fine.

The iced tea was too bland. The lemonade was too sour and powerful, but mixed together, pretty good.

Dessert was sweet and smoky.

All but the burger were the happy hour portions.

I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner experience at The Duck Inn. We made a last-minute reservation, and it was so worth it!

I believe they are 2024 James Beard Award seni-finalists. They specialize in, you guessed it, duck! A nice sized location with front room dining, a dining room, and an outdoor patio in the rear (when it isn't cold).

What we had:
- Gimlet Mocktail
- Chamoy Punch (Tequila based)
-  Non-Alcoholic Beer
- 5oz Rioja
- Duck wings (crispy skin, and nicely seasoned)
- Gnocchi (a bit sweet which was unexpected, but when mixed with the smokey heat of the hidden sauce it was delicious)
- crispy chicken (sweet potato risotto👌🏾 and the herbed chicken sausage paired well when all the flavors blended.
- Sweet Potato Tart ("Cleaner," lightly flavored dessert option, with hints of ginger throughout)

Min fru och jag besökte Chicago från 26 juni till 1 juli . Vi kom för att besöka några museer och restauranger. Jag läste recensioner av några av de heta, trendiga platser och jag såg recensioner av The Duck Inn. Jag var fascinerad nog att göra en bokning och beställa en anka en vecka i förväg. 
Vi anlände till restaurangen lördag kväll en halvtimme tidigare och satt vid ett fint hörnbord. Matplatsen har en retro 50 s / tidigt 60-tal känsla som vi gillade. Vi beställde drinkar och väntade på att vår anka skulle komma. Efter 20 minuter kom en stor träsnideribräda till vårt bord. Det blev ruccolagrönsaker och jordgubbar med vinägrettdressing och utsökt potatis stekt i ankfett. Och, naturligtvis, vår rotisserie rostad anka och en kopp anka jus. 
Ankan var så god som jag föreställt mig. Härligt kryddad, krispig hud, bröstportionerna tillagade sällsynta och benen tillagade medium. Att hälla lite jus ovanpå köttet tog det till en annan nivå. Min fru var glad över hur god ankan var. Hon har varit besviken ibland på några av de platser jag valt. Det kom inga klagomål från henne i kväll. 
Vår servitör var mycket uppmärksam. Servicen var förstklassig och jag dricksade därefter. Min servitör var så tacksam. Detta fick gruppen av sex vid bordet bredvid oss att prata mycket högt och normal konversation var omöjligt för oss. Det är mitt enda klagomål. Maten och servicen var enastående. Jag kommer att vara tillbaka till Chicago och jag kommer att besöka The Duck Inn igen.

Atmosfären var stor! Servicen var lite robotic, men konsekvent/professionell. Maten var underväldigande vilket var en besvikelse. Vi delade brysselkål och burrata. Burrata var välsmakande. Vänner hade 80 dollars ankan. Återigen, mycket underväldigad. Lammkorv och ankpommes frites ok.

Riktigt bra. Jag älskade fois Gras och burrattan! Ankan var god om än lite salt för mig. Service ganska bra, bara kanske har mer uppmärksamhet i slutet. Det tog mycket tid att be om öken eller kaffe.

En varmkorv till middag på en av de mest hyllade och inredda restaurangerna i Chicago? Du skojar, eller hur? Nej. Prisbelönta kocken Kevin Hickey listar en Duck Inn Dog på sin meny och det är inget att skratta åt. Det är faktiskt en munfull. Hickey's Duck Inn Dog med Bloody Mary ketchup och ankfett pommes frites är en hyllning till den klassiska Chicago - stil varmkorv. Den är gjord med en helt - naturlig nötkött varmkorv och ankfett i ett svin hölje och grillad till en perfekt snap, sedan toppad med alla de klassiska ingredienserna i en Chicago - stil varmkorv - - hem - gjord senap och relish, inlagd varm paprika, pickle, tomat, lök och selleri salt inbäddat i en en - av - en - slag brioche vallmo frö bulle. Den snidade ankan serveras över babygrönkål och grön vitlöksvinägrett kastat med ankfett, ringlade potatisar och jordgubbar, sedan stekt i en ankjusreduktion som serveras vid bordet. Till efterrätt delade vi på en ren chokladbeignet med jordnötssmör och banankolagelato och svart sesampannacotta med havre- och kokosmjölk, thaibananpuré och kaffegelato. Duck Inn är öppet från 5 till 11 tisdag till lördag och 10: 30 till 9 på söndag. Matupplevelsen är så bra som annonseras. Även om du inte gillar anka.

Utsökt mat. Fräscha och innovativa smaker. Rekommenderar starkt för en dejt natt. Uteplatsen är verkligen söt på sommaren.

Lite utanför misshandlad väg, men väl värt ansträngningen. Den har inte en omfattande meny, eftersom den verkligen inte har det också. Den otroliga maträtten är rotisserie-ankan som du måste beställa i förväg. Levereras med enastående andfettfries. Ring också lägga foie gras. Bara enastående. Men sedan för sidor, morötter och bok choy plus Caper caesar och brunt smör smular upp groddar. Bra om begränsat urval av vin. Tjänsten var fantastisk.
Sammanfattningsvis är jag har ätit i många av Chicagos bästa restauranger men detta är bland mina fem bästa i en stad med bra mat. Gå ut ur din väg och prova det!

Det började med att läsa recensioner. . . vår förväntan växte när datumet blev närmare och när vi anlände visste vi att vår tid på Duck Inn skulle vara fantastisk. . . vi blev inte besvikna.

Ett särskilt tack till Lance vår server för hans rekommendationer om när och hur man parar ihop sina hantverkskocktails under hela natten. Vi beställde rotisserie-anka; äpplen, potatisen, grönkålen och andan kompletterade den saftiga ankan perfekt!

Stämningen var modern rustik och hade en intim känsla. Det var trevligt att kunna titta på kockens och deras konstnärskap. Det anpassade kvällen för att ha vänlig fotbollskämma med chefskocken. Från norr om Toronto tackar vi dig för en fantastisk upplevelse och kom bara ihåg. . . . .

Vår lilla grupp gick för brunch. Vi började med en av deras fantastiska klibbiga bullar att dela. Låt mig bara säga att en inte är nära nog. Fantastiskt är adjektivet för dem.
Var och en hade något annorlunda och när vi smakade varandras var varandra bättre än förra.
Detta var en mycket trevlig överraskning eftersom vi hade ingen aning om hur utmärkt denna restaurang är. En vän rekommenderade så vi gick.
Det finns andra alternativ än anka och jag är säker på att de också är utmärkta, vi hade alla en version av anka.

Vi förbeställde rotisserie-ankan och skulle rekommendera den. Stanna inte vid Anka. Ankahunden kanske den bästa bit korven jag har smakat. Vår server var kunnig och effektiv i sin tjänst. Ägaren / kocken var varm och vänlig och levererade plattor till vårt bord och hjälpte personalen att rensa tabeller. De bilder som smakade som cocktails var fantastiska och endast $ 5, fantastiska. Kvalitetsingredienser samt vård i service gjorde detta till en minnesvärd upplevelse som vi hoppas kunna upprepa.

Jag stannade in under lördagens brunch-timmar och det var ganska tyst inomhus. Ankahunden var stjärnan i min show och anledningen till att göra vandringen, men den hade ett pussel av en stödjande handling med ostmassan. Min bartender var stor, liksom mat och dryck. Det är definitivt ett måste för alla framtida Chicago-resor.

Inte en tyst miljö. . . Jag är en picky eater, och uppskattar inte bra mat; men personalen var mycket öppen för att fylla mina önskemål. Parkering var relativt svårt, men jag är inte från Chicago.
