Phenomenal experience overall — one of the greatest meals I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying. I thoroughly enjoyed the beverage program, especially the wine selection. Our server Emily was very attentive and detailed with walking us through our courses. The entire staff consisted of hospitality professionals. I will definitely be back next time I’m here to visit and will recommend this space to anyone traveling to NOLA!

We had a great experience at Mosquito Supper Club. It is located at a standalone historic house in a residential neighborhood. We were greeted at the door and were promptly seated. We had our own separate table, but the restaurant also offers communal tables which is great for those who like to interact with fellow diners. Overall the food and the service was great. Our server was very informative when selecting our wine and did a great job explaining the various menu items as they were served. Hard to pick a favorite but the oyster soup and the pickled shrimp were really memorable.
Note that the restaurant is easily accessible from the French Quarter/Central Business District via the historic St Charles Streetcar and a short walk.So the trips to/from the restaurant really complete the experience.

This might possibly be the best meal I’ve ever had. The food was absolutely spectacular - I highly recommend getting oysters to start. Everything was amazing tho - incredibly fresh and flavorful.

The service and ambience were also both fantastic. Our waitress was super attentive, friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was very romantic. We had a private table, but I imagine the communal one would be super fun!

Cannot recommend this place enough!!!

One of the coolest dining experiences I’ve had in New Orleans — and I’ve been coming to this city to eat for more than 10 years! We had a coursed chef’s tasting with wine pairings from 2014 to celebrate their 10th anniversary!

Mosquito Supper Club is a truly unique restaurant. Visitors often leave saying they felt like they went to dinner at a friend’s house. Sitting inside a restored Victorian cottage in Uptown, New Orleans — Mosquito Supper club hosts chef’s tasting menus at 2 large communal tables, each set for 10 (and there are just a couple of 2-tops for a regular menu). Chef Melissa Martin, who started this place 10 years ago, was raised on home-cooked Cajun food — and 90% of her restaurant’s dishes were passed down to her from her mother. She gets nearly 100% of her ingredients from local fishermen and farmers, educates visitors on the history and flavors of Cajun cooking, and passionately advocates for the preservation of Louisiana wetlands and coastal communities. Her recent cookbook is titled, “Cajun Recipes from a Disappearing Bayou” — and that’s what she serves at her restaurant.

Standout dish of the night: a crawfish bisque with stuffed heads: I’ve never had anything like it, but I want more! Honestly, everything from sweet potato biscuits, to the fresh salad, to the strawberry dessert was fantastic — I just didn’t have room to show it all!

Hade en enastående måltid på Mosquito Supper Club tidigare i veckan. Jag hade några kunder i stan och ville ha en unik upplevelse istället för samma gamla NOLA-standarder. Jag var nervös för detta på grund av den strikta reservation och pre-pay politik, men en vän till mig som bor lokalt (och som är den ultimata myndigheten på var att äta i NOLA) försäkrade mig om att det var ett säkert kort. 
Allt var perfekt. Vi hade tillräckligt med folk för att säkra ett privat bord så vi var inte i huvudmatsalen. Måltiden var perfekt tajmad och varje rätt var välsmakande och exklusiv utan att vara pretentiös. Ostronen var FANTASTISKA. Kexen är fantastiska. Vi var mätta men inte helt fyllda i slutet av måltiden, helt rätt. Servicen var avslappnad, men hela mitt sällskap hade verkligen roligt. 
Jag skulle helt komma tillbaka och sitta gemensamt eftersom det är förmodligen en blast. Längtar efter att äta här igen.

Mycket besviken . Betalade för ett privat rum. Hade två sidobord med andra gäster. Inte privat. Maten var i bästa fall medelmåttig. 
Skulle till och med kalla det Gumbo. Fet, vattnig soppa, väldigt lite kött. Krabbklor kalla. Potatissallad platt utan smak. Fylld krabba var som några jag kunde köpa i en livsmedelsbutik. Succotash, usch! Okra var omöjligt att skära och grönsaker praktiskt taget råa och saknade krydda. Servicen var minimal. Begagnad, felmatchad bestick. Inga sängkläder förutom en mycket liten servett. Kunde knappt höra varandra på grund av alla plana ytor och bakgrundsljud. 
Ambiance? Crappy gammalt hus med furubord och gamla stolar. 
Ändå; höga slutpriser ! Kommer inte att åka dit igen.

Betalas för en privat matsal med $ 1450 minimum. Vi satt inte i en privat matsal område. Bokning var en mardröm i sig. Ett riktigt krångel med att hitta tillgänglighet, ingen Resy eller Open Table. Förutbetala med tacksamhet. 

Servicen var bra men inget speciellt. 

Maten var under genomsnittet. 

Sötpotatis kex en höjdpunkt, mycket gott. Succotash var underkokt och inte särskilt smakrik. Fylld krabba smakade som en upphetsad fylld krabba från mathyllan. Krabbklorna hade bra smak men kom ut kalla. 

Bara en stor besvikelse. Kommer definitivt inte att vara tillbaka (lokal - vet en hel del bättre restauranger).

Åt middag här lördag kväll och det var fantastiskt! Satt vid ett gemenskapsbord och träffade några nya goda vänner och njöt av en vacker måltid med vinparningar. Cocktail före middagen var utmärkt och vår server, Jake (tror jag) , var extremt kunnig om våra viner och svarade på alla våra frågor. Alla i personalen verkar väldigt engagerade i sitt arbete och restaurangens filosofi och det känns verkligen som ett familjeägt företag.

Maten och servicen var fantastisk men ljudnivån förstörde kvällen. Vi var i det bakre rummet med ett fullt bord och sedan en coupe av andra två toppar. Andra änden av bordet var en grupp som var så berusade att de skrek och tjöt. Ljudnivån var så hög att jag började få migrän. Om de vill behålla bordsstämningen måste de begränsa antalet middagar så att folk faktiskt kan ha samtal.

Min man och jag åt vid ett familjestilsbord vid en gudstjänst kl. 19.00. Det var en underbar upplevelse. Alla rätter var bra, men stod ut för mig var ostronsoppa och anka confit. Båda rätterna var särskilt unika och läckra. Något vi har haft var familjen stil service. Vi brukar bli mätta snabbt med avsmakningsmenyer, så det var en lättnad att välja våra portioner och låta andra som kan äta mer göra det. Jag föreslår att vinet paring eftersom det var perfekt.

Gemensamt bord, hade vi en fest av 6 och 2 andra anslöt sig till oss - de var kul. Rustik cajunmat tillagad av ett ungt par. Ingen meny, du serveras vad de gjorde för den dagen - familjestil. Utsökt mat/massor att äta. Huvudrätt var en gumbo som var stor. Mitt problem var att jag äter en hel del gumbo och min frus är fantastisk, jag kanske hade föredragit något annat. Drycker var små men välgjorda, viner lite esoteriska och $$$. Kostnaden var på hög sida men hela upplevelsen var värt det och vi skulle återvända.

Sötpotatiskexen var så härliga. De marinerade krabbklorna är de bästa jag någonsin ätit. Inlagda räkor... min första gång att ha och verkligen inte kommer att vara sist... förmodligen min favorit sak. Bara gå och njut av upplevelsen!

Gick en promenad - in på Mosquito Supper Club. För promenad - ins de har några platser i baren eller på deras innergård. Som NOLA presenterade några bra väder vi tog innergården. 

Mysig middag med färska råvaror gjorde denna middag bra, även om kryddningen kunde vara mer på punkt för mig. Mer krydda och lite extra slag till det hade gjort det för mig. 

Servitören som tog hand om vårt bord var fantastisk. Han hade så mycket kunskap "om NOLA matkulturen och gav oss en hel del råd om andra bra ställen som han skulle rekommendera.

Atmosfären var på punkt, vi satt tillbaka uteplats nära bakgården. Julbelysningen gnistrade nästan som eldflugor medan Frank Sinatra (musikönskemål de gärna tillmötesgådde) spelade i bakgrunden.

Vilken rolig kväll med fantastisk mat. Inte din typiska NOLA-restaurang. Tänk på det som kockens bord av en mycket begåvad Cajun-matmästare. Färsk, annorlunda men vagt bekant med bra service.

Om du bryr dig om mat - alla aspekter av maten du äter, de människor som odlar den, marken på och i vilken den växer, de människor som förbereder den, serverar den och städar efter att du har älskat en måltid - då detta är platsen att gå. Vi åkte till Mosquito Supper Club för en söndagsbrunch under vårt senaste besök i New Orleans. Vi började med stora skivor av några av de färskaste ostron som jag har ätit. Dessa åtföljdes av ett rikt och välsmakande hembakt majsbröd. Den andra kursen var en ostron gumbo / soppa med en rikt smaksatt tomatbuljong med grönsaker och lite krydda (serveras med ett hemlagat brunt bröd). Den tredje kursen var en flackekrabba tårta (inget fyllmedel), som serverades med en färsk grön sallad med pekannötter. Desserten var en typ av galett, gjord med vårjordgubbar. Kocken Melissa använder recept som har varit i hennes familj i generationer, och hon känner till de bästa lokala ingredienserna för all sin matlagning. Detta var utan tvekan den bästa måltiden jag hade medan jag var i New Orleans, och jag hade några andra utmärkta matupplevelser på samma resa. Jag förväntar mig att Melissa är på väg att bli New Orleans egna Alice Waters. Hon har en kokbok som kommer ut i vår och jag ser fram emot att äga den.

Vi har haft så mycket av vårt besök. Från att höra ägarnas ideal att försvara matlagningstraditionerna i Terrebonne församling innan Terrebonne inte längre existerar under de kommande 30 - 50 åren. Med ursprungliga familjerecept med lokala råvaror kommer du säkert att njuta av en äkta måltid. Den fyllda krabban var par excellence liksom den inlagda räkor. Alla på familjens bord var överens om att det var en trevlig måltid. Kommer en bon! ! !

Myggnätsklubban är lite som en familjen middag med personer som du precis träffat, sammanlagt av den kulinariska magiken som Melissa och Ellen tar med sig till bordet. Jag är en introvert, men kände mig fortfarande hemma och lycklig att vara "en del av familjen."
