I had a fantastic dinning experience first time with my parents at Clove in June 2024, enjoyed the excellent food, service, and ambiance. Unfortunately, my recent visit with a group of friends was a different story. Service felt lackluster, likely due to understaffing, with significant delays in receiving our orders. A simple request for extra bread and rice took an unacceptable 20-25 minutes, arriving after most of us had finished our meals. It took considerable effort to flag down the manager, who only arrived 15 minutes later.
While the food remains delicious (4.5/5 stars, as before), and the ambiance was decent considering the restaurant's business (3/5 stars), the poor service severely impacted my overall experience. As a vegetarian, I found the options excellent. However, due to the subpar service, I can only give this visit a 3.5/5 star rating

I love this place! We met the sweet owner Syed and he could not have been more gracious. The food was so good, the service prompt and friendly. We not only had our waitstaff attentive but the owner, Syed. We had the Tandoori Broccoli as an appetizer which was devine - perhaps the best roasted broccoli we've ever had! Full of flavor and spices! Yum. I told them I could eat a whole platter of that, that's how delicious it was! We also had the Samosas - good too. For dinner we went with the Butter Chicken and the Chicken Saag. Both were tasty and came with rice and peas. Garlic Naan was amazing too! They then gave us Chicken 65 to try complimentary. I have no idea what that was but it was amazing and I'll be ordering that next time. We got Guleb Jamun for dessert - just the sweet bite we needed after dinner. Best I can describe it as pancakes soaked in syrup. Yum. We have 4 years at NYU Medical so we will definitely be back again and again. They couldn't have been kinder. Oh, and the strawberry Cosmo was so good too! Go - it has a great crowd and vibe!

I am immensely impressed by the quality of food at this newly opened restaurant, which is warm, cozy, and inviting. Although I was introduced to Indian cuisine in New York, having grown up in Nepal without the chance to try authentic Indian food, this experience was exceptional. The Mulligatawny soup we started with was outstanding, with lemongrass and citrus enhancing its flavor. The Hariyali Kabab, Shrimp Balchao, and Lal Maas were particularly memorable. The menu offers a diverse range of options, and I am especially grateful to Chef Ashih for introducing a new version of yellow dal in the form of a soup. Although I have tried Indian food before, this restaurant stands out for its freshly prepared and well-cooked dishes, combined with excellent hospitality. I highly recommend this restaurant to fellow New Yorkers and I can't wait to come back again.

Came here for the first time on a date night with my husband and oh my, everything was so delicious! I’m a butter chicken snob and the chicken was cooked to perfection - so soft and sauce soaked up. Garlic nann was great too. Servers were nice and the ambiance was cozy and classic. Will definitely come back. So happy there is a good Indian restaurant in my neighborhood now!
