Really wanted some food similar to HK’s cha chan tang and this was the closest I could find. Rice noodle rolls were drenched in sauce, too sweet for my liking. The toast was typical and the milk tea needed more syrup, which we were given to add to our liking. Cream custard baos felt a bit too stiff, but flavorful.

However, like other reviews found, service was lacking and the food felt uncompromising.

It was nice at 11:30 am on a Thursday.  Barely anyone there, but it got busier at 12 pm.  Their food was good.  Highly recommend the Fried Bean Curd and Pork over Rice.  Nice and saucy.  My friend got the Fish and Chicken fried rice.

Food was awesome but service was horrible after I had to ask for a check and left a 25 percent tip the staff ignored me and all sat in the back the guy who brought a check was rude never thanking me or saying good bye was just focused on his tip. Also the boxes and clutter at entrance take away the experience of dining room and the shrimp I was served was in a shell full of excrement so Diggin through sauce and trying to scrape poop out of shrimp was a big failure on the baked pasta over spaghetti.

Cha Kee is a HK Style Cha Chaan Teng located in the heart of NYC's Chinatown. They didn't have any physical menus when I went, however I assume you could ask for them if you don't have a mobile device.

The service is quick and efficient, much easier to order things if you know Cantonese, but English works fine as well.

The atmosphere is like a HK style cafe, with some big tables and smaller tables spread throughout. It would be best to come here with a party of around 3-5.

The food was great. I came during brunch, so it was focused on HK style breakfast foods. The Porkchop over fries was crispy and not too oily. The Rice Cakes in XO Sauce had both a sweetness to it that was complimented well with the peanut sauce. The only thing that was kind of eh was the Salt & Pepper Vegetables. It was a little too salty for the taste, and it ended up overwhelming the dish.

Overall a good place to visit if one of the other Cha Chaan Tengs are too crowded.

Having lived in Hong Kong for a few years before, I really miss real cha chan tang style food. Very difficult to find this authentic style of restaurant in London. Good portion sizes and authentic flavour and service too! I had the HK style milk tea, steamed rice rolls and the cold ice tea too (with ice in the bucket). Really brought back some wonderful memories! I’ll recommend this place to anybody missing real HK style food.

Jag har varit besöker den här restaurangen för mer än ett år nu när jag åker till Chinatown NY stad. Det är bra för frukost, lättare lunch och eftermiddagsfika. Det är för litet och maten är ljus för middag. Den urval är stora och välsmakande. Priserna är inte dyrt. Två personer romantisk lunch och eftermiddagsfika rekommenderas starkt. Servicen är bra, vissa av servitörerna är vänlig och lagt leende på läpparna, men inte alla. En hel del av dem verkligen " trä mun trä ansikte "utan uttryck mot kunder. Jag känner mig ledsen för min familj eftersom deras första måltid i NYC förstördes.
