An amazing meal and experience here. Every plate was delicious and filling. The pork belly was so tasty and melted in your mouth and the shrimp tacos had a nice texture from the crispy shell and saucy shrimp. I will say because the tacos were plated so close together, the sauce did make the outside of the middle taco a bit soggy and hard to hold. The chicken wings were crispy and juicy, both noodle dishes were very good with different flavor profiles (soy sauce based vs. Thai spice). The shrimp noodle had more of a creamy coconut twist to it. The inside is very cute in aesthetic and cozy coming from the cold outdoors. I loved the natural lighting we got from the window. The service was great, everyone was so attentive making sure plates were cleared, glasses were filled and they were so kind and polite. Very filling and we left happy.

Went on a busy Saturday night with no reservation and waited about 20 minutes for a seat at the bar, not too bad. We loved everything about our experience. Service was fantastic and attentive without being too much (the bartender/waiter noticed when my partner's fork was taken with the appetizer plate and immediately got a new one before we even needed to ask - a small, but appreciated detail). Cocktails were fantastic, especially the matcha/pandan cocktail. We loved all the food we ate, though the oyster salad was a highlight for me. The ambiance was also great. Would absolutely return and recommend to others. Some of the best Thai food we've ever eaten.

Perhaps the best Thai food I’ve ever had.
We ordered:
steamed fish - super fresh and tasty
crab curry - spicy and creamy and I ate 2 bowls of rice with it
braised pork belly - melt in your mouth
Longan refresher - taste good, not overly sweet, tho maybe too much ice

Med bara en timme till godo innan vår Broadwayshow dök min familj och jag upp i Chalong för en snabb bit mat — och blev positivt överraskade. Varje rätt var fylld av fräschör och smak. Vi beställde varsin förrätt och det slutade med att vi delade på allt och knappt lät tallrikarna träffa bordet innan vi grävde i. Det stod klart direkt: vi hade hittat en plats värd att komma tillbaka till. Detta är den typ av thailändsk mat som gör att du längtar mer med varje tugga. Jag kan redan inte vänta med att återvända! Bästa thailändska restaurang i staden! 
Jag älskar thailändsk mat och har varit på en hel del ställen i staden, och det här är min absoluta favorit. Jag är arg att jag inte hade provat det tidigare, och arg att jag provade det alls, eftersom jag nu redan räknar ner dagarna tills det är acceptabelt att gå tillbaka igen. 
Jag åt räktacosförrätt och krabbcurry. Krabbcurryn var lagom mycket krydda (men jag gillar kryddig) med balanserade smaker och bara så gott! Jag kunde dricka curryn om den inte var lika kryddig. 
Och ovanpå den fantastiska maten, servicen var fantastisk. Jag satt i baren ensam, men bartendern pratade med mig precis lagom mycket... och han rekommenderade allt jag fick. Maten kom ut snabbt och bartendern och servern förklarade hur man bäst avnjuter maten. 
Den enda nackdelen är platsen - Hell’s Kitchen är inte min favorit stadsdel, men denna plats är så värt det.

Även om jag är säker på att det finns gott om bra thailändska restauranger i New York, kan jag inte tänka mig någon av dem är bättre än Chalong. Jag åt kokosnötsknäckt räkförrätt och sydstatspad thai, och var i himlen med varje tugga. Smakerna och texturerna är perfekt balanserade, och du kan känna att kocken här verkligen bryr sig om både presentationen och smaken. Jag ser fram emot att besöka igen när jag är i NYC i höst. Matsalen är mycket trångt och bullrigt vid 19:00 på en söndag kväll, borden är för krossade tillsammans, totalt sett inte en trevlig matupplevelse. Vi började med några goda specialcocktails. Vi provade lite kokosräkor och dumplings till att börja med, och sen åt jag getcurry. Allt var bra. Jag har dock inte bråttom tillbaka, jag skulle välja något bekvämare.

Vid köp av Broadwaybiljetter och vid förfrågan om matrekommendationer föreslog biljettvärdinnan denna restaurang. Jag provade den gröna curryn med kyckling, och det gjorde ingen besviken. All mat var klockren, och servicen var acceptabel. Den vackra inredningen gjord för en allt - runt stor matupplevelse.

Hade en familjemiddag för tre före en show i närheten, och vi älskade all vår mat. En helt annan meny än de flesta thailändska restauranger vi varit på, vilket jag antar speglar fokus specifikt på sydthailändska. Crab curry var vår favorit av våra tre rätter, men min son gillade också verkligen hans nötkött stekt ris och dumpling aptitretare var mycket bra. Mycket välsmakande cocktails, och min son njöt av sin alkoholfria förfriskning. Servicen var utmärkt och mycket vänlig, och atmosfären var riktigt trevlig, kändes som en blandning av besökare och lokalbefolkningen. Rekommenderar starkt!

Fantastisk middag. Vi blev sittande lite sent men noterade att vi hade en Broadway show att se så vi flyttades fram i ett bra tempo. Vi åt krabbtacos, anka med glasnudlar, revbensspjäll och grönt. Allt var utmärkt.
