Shared the summer rolls with tofu and the massaman curry! Was just what I needed/wanted on this super chilly nyc day. Very flavorful and on the lighter heaviness side. Wished it was spicier but it was marked as mild. Would definitely order again!

Terrific lunch at Ginger & Lemongrass on the LES.

We started with the roast pork buns. Two of us had the vermicelli bowls (one lemongrass chicken; the other with pork belly). My other friend had their curry. The food was great!

The restaurant is a beautiful space and the service is terrific. They also have a very interesting cocktail menu. We will definitely be back!

This is probably, hands down, my favorite spot in LES!

In my first visit, my group and I had gotten a beef tartare, two soups, and 1 banh mi (all of which were really good). It was our first time trying beef tartare and we were really surprised that we loved it. The bone marrow pairs surprisingly well and I can’t wait to order it again. The spicy lemongrass wasn’t as hot as we were hoping, so some chili oil from the banh mi was well needed. The added egg also seemed rather small for a paid add on. The beef pho was okay, but i feel the portions of the pho/soup are an area that needs improvement given the price. Finally, the glazed pork in the banh mi had a great flavor but we were only wishing there was a bit more of it present across the sandwich.

In another visit (without photos), we’d gotten a portobello summer rolls and were amazed by the flavor despite it being a mushroom protein. Overheard some love from another guest about their mushroom/vegan options, so I can’t wait to come back and try more!

During both visits, service was also great and very attentive!

I really haven't had great Vietnamese food in New York. I'm sure I'll get killed for that take like any other semi-polarizing take I have, so let's chalk it up to me not having been to the right spot yet.

I'm a hopeless optimist, so I had a great feeling walking into Ginger and Lemongrass that I would have finally found a great Vietnamese spot. My eternal optimism, as it so often does, let me down once again.

While there were some high highs, like the grilled beef wrapped in bettel leaves and thai coconut curry, there were equally low lows - that vermicelli bowl had overcooked, lukewarm chicken and the ingredients felt like they had been sitting for a little too long…

Everything else (the shaken beef, chicken wings, steamed pork belly buns, summer rolls) were a solid 7/10. Good, but not great. Good is the mortal enemy of great.

Overall, it just felt a little uninspired, kind of like this review is. It's hard to write when I'm not inspired.

I honestly would come back and just get like 3 orders of the grilled beef wrapped in bettel leaves. Those were elite.

I love infused water they give you!
We recommend summer rolls! I had ones with veggies and my husband had ones with shrimp!! And we had curry: chicken for him and veggies for me. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Loved it!!! Next time my husband chose chicken curry soup and he loved it as well.

En trendig - söt plats på Rivington Street, ingefära och citrongräs har rader med krukväxter som ligger i intervaller längs den utsatta tegelväggen, och gula metallstolar framför faux - råa träbord.

Måste erkänna att under kalla månader låter ingenting bättre än en massiv skål med ångande pho.

Pho är en populär gatamat i Vietnam; är soppa bestående av buljong, risnudlar (b nh ph?), örter och kött - vanligtvis nötkött (ph? b), ibland kyckling (ph? g).

Ingefära och citrongrässkålen med Beef Pho är utmärkt. Buljongen är inte för kryddig, inte för söt - risnudlarna är rikliga och hala men tillräckligt fast, tillsatsen på (bönor, groddar koriander och thailändsk basilika, hemgjord chiliolja) kompletterar soppan mycket bra. Du kan beställa den med tunna skivor, sällsynta ögonrundor, med öm, "fem krydda" brisket, eller, i vad som är helt klart det rätta valet, en hel del båda.

Hoppa dock inte över förrätterna, speciellt kryddig kycklingvingar, behagligt klibbiga och stora smaksatta fågelbitar bestränkta med skivad lotusrot, vilket ger lite crunch och visuell överklagande.

Min nya favoritvietnamesiska restaurang i staden!

Kom här på en rekommendation om sökandet efter de bästa vietnameserna i staden. Okej, så den här platsen är inte där bäst men det är ganska bra. Tillräckligt bra för mig att säga att jag skulle komma igen.

Platsen är relativt liten och den ligger precis intill Yopparai. Vi beställde de kryddiga vingarna att starta och jag hade den klassiska pho. Jag valde blandat kött och en ytterligare benmärg. Min flickvän fick den kryddig citrongrässoppan med en extra bok choy.

Vingarna är läckra. Det kanske blir lite kryddig för vissa människor men jag tyckte att de var perfekta. Min klassiska pho var bra men inte hisnande. Soppbasen var smakfull och skålen var fylld med kött och nudlar. Skålarna är mindre än du är van vid någon annanstans, men det beror på att de inte ger dig en gallon soppa. Benmärgen var lite överväldigande och jag skulle inte göra det igen. Min flickvän citrongrässoppa pho var fantastisk. Det var både smakfullt och kryddig. Jag skulle definitivt få hennes beställning nästa gång. Vi båda fick en liten storlek skålen och det var mer än tillräckligt.

Sammantaget tycker jag att det här är ett bra kvarter. Jag kommer tillbaka igen.

Vi valde platsen för Lower East Side för att testa Allset, en app som låter dig förbeställa din måltid så att den är redo att serveras när du kommer dit och var mycket nöjda med resultatet. Det påminde mig om mina resor i hela Asien och att se asiatiska lokalbefolkningen jag kände mig tvungen att beställa mina alltime faves: vårrullar och kryddig citrongrässoppa, jag stötte på en härlig myriad av smaker inredda i krispiga skinn, åtföljda av krispiga blad av sallad och mynt, rivaled av en riksmakad soppa med chili. Den lätt sötade Thai Lychee Foco Juice avslutade erfarenheten som lämnade mig uppdaterad, tankas och redo att återvända till sevärdheter och ljud från NYC.

Vi slutade av en slump på en kall eftermiddag. Trevlig atmosfär, vänlig service. Gurka, ingefäravatten är utsökt! Vi hade Pho och Coconut kryddig citrongräs soppa med räkor. Båda var mycket, mycket bra. Jag skulle definitivt vilja äta här igen snart.

Vi gick in till Ginger och Citrongrass sent på en torsdag kväll och var mycket glad över. Maten var exceptionellt välsmakande. Pho var fantastisk. Färskt sjögräsrulle var kreativ och utmärkt. vi hade en utmärkt hantverk öl på kranen och erfarna hjälpsam och vänlig service. Alla makar i en ny stadsdel pärla.

Detta verkar vara en nyöppen restaurang.
Tjänsten är OK och smak av de beställda rätterna var okej.

Tänk dock på följande två problem:

 1) Kycklingbitarna i Red Curry Chicken bör vara mindre.

 2) De tunna köttskivorna i Pho-tjänsten är för få.
