This is a unique boutique hotel located right in Chinatown. The view of the manhattan bridge I had was pretty nice.

For the most part, the room was good and the decor was neat, but the mattresses seemed like they might need replacing. The edge of the mattress on the side of the nightstand had no support and collapsed when you sat down. The other side didn’t have the same issue, so presumably it’s due to how many people have sat down on that edge over the years.

Globalist breakfast seems to change pretty frequently at this hotel, currently you get a $50 voucher code emailed to you in the morning which you can use to place a delivery order from the restaurant the hotel partners with. The menu is pretty small and portion sizes aren’t large, so while the voucher was enough for an entree per person, it wasn’t all that filling.

You can also choose to eat in the buffet on the rooftop instead, but that’s also a miss. There’s very little seating available and the hot food runs out constantly and doesn’t get replenished in a timely manner, if at all. It’s also just a standard buffet of scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes with baked goods, juice and coffee.

The location is one of the best parts of the hotel, easily accessible to all Chinatown restaurants. It’s little bit of a walk away from the subway though, with the closest station being Canal St around a 10min walk away.

The location is perfect for work and leisure! I can walk to work in 15 to 20 minutes. I can find a great restaurant in almost any cuisine within 10 minutes of walk. Hotel rooms are super clean! And the bed is very comfortable. I am very sensitive to environment changes. But I find no issue with my sleep during the stay. The roof top bar/cafe is great! Breakfast is simple but of great quality. The view from the roof is spectacular! The most important thing to mention is the friendly staff! My flight was late in the day, they allowed me to use the second level lounge to relax and work for a while. Will definitely stay here again!

Really nice hotel, the staff were so welcoming and friendly, our room (1210) was close to the lift but not too much noise. It was quiet otherwise. The view of the Manhattan Bridge exit is nice and the sun rises right opposite. The Crown bar on the roof has great views. The free coffee on the second floor was nice and there's loads of space, the terrace is huge too. The gym is a little small (and one treadmill was out of action) but it was decent. The location is great, near loads of nice food places and easy to get to Brooklyn and other places in Manhattan. Would definitely stay again.

Enjoyed a six-night stay at the Hotel 50 Bowery. The Chinatown location was perfect for us (we walked across various bridges to Brooklyn and all over Manhattan from this spot). It’s also close to subway stations and lots of great places to eat and drink. Staff throughout our stay were friendly and courteous. The gym was small but had everything we needed, the coffee room on the second floor was lovely and the rooftop bar has stunning views. Our room - 1210 - was comfortable (if not huge) with a big comfy bed, a great shower and a small fridge in the room. I could sometimes hear street noise (typical for New York) and the occasional ping from the lift or adjacent room’s door slamming but I’m a very light sleeper and my rest here was pretty decent. I would definitely return and had a superb stay here: highly recommend!

The staff was excellent here, super friendly and helpful. I got upgraded to a bridge view and it was nice and surprisingly not noisy.  Great wood floors for allergy sufferers.  Clean inside room and in the hallways. The refillable water and free bottles was very appreciated. Location wise, it was perfect for where I needed to be. Only 1/2 hour to LGA or JFK.
