The worst cappuccino and croissant I’ve ever had in the city.

I ordered a cappuccino because I don’t like lattes, but it was overly milky, completely overpowering the coffee flavor. To top it off, there was no latte art, yet the price was absurdly high.

The croissant? Honestly, I couldn’t tell the difference from a Costco one. I have no idea how this place became a chain.

Normally, I wouldn’t bother leaving a review, but I hope this saves someone else from the same disappointment. Never going back.

We are tourists from the Bay Area, and we met a friend for coffee and a bite to eat here on a beautiful Fall Saturday afternoon, and this place was packed! Feels like mostly locals for the most part. Not too much to say about the food, and it felt short-staffed at the time, but it happens.

First off, I will say that the mint lemonade is an absolute must. I will get it once a week. It is not too sweet, perfectly tart, and so fresh. The brownies and tarts are delicious. On the downside, my dining in experience was sub-par. Service was pretty slow, and the food was just ok. I much prefer the bakery items. The French cream donut was also sort of a miss for me, it tasted old. Not sure if that’s how it was supposed to taste or not. Nonetheless, high stars for the lemonade and other baked good items. Also, the man working at the bakery register is always very pleasant every time I stop by!

I hope the United States will discover pottery soon. I don’t understand why coffee is always served in paper cups, no matter if you take it for here or to go. In Europe, we use mugs!

My recent visit to Le Pain Quotidien fell short of expectations. While we were promptly seated, it took a significant amount of time for our server to acknowledge us. Once we ordered, the portions were surprisingly small, especially considering the price. My tomato sandwich, for example, left me feeling unsatisfied. To make matters worse, the iced matcha latte had clumps of undissolved matcha powder, and getting the bill took another long wait. Overall, the slow service and underwhelming food quality detracted from the experience.
