Such a cool, historic place. You can stay for hours admiring the stuff on the walls. Great staff, you have two options: dark and light beer. It’s fresh and delicious. Bartenders are no nonsense. I came early on a weekday and was able to share a table no problem. Great people, sawdust floors, and just a neat place to be. Highly recommend stopping in while in NYC

This was a fantastic little place with a lot of history. The service and atmosphere were awesome! I can only give 4 stars due to the fact that, sadly, I don't drink beer, and there were no other alcoholic beverages offered. Otherwise, it would get 5 stars.

A great 100 year-old ale house that only serves either dark or light beer. No names just dark or light. For five dollars you get two good size mugs of it too. The atmosphere makes you feel like you are in 1930s or 40s New York City. I come here every time I go to New York City.

The one and only!!!
I think I can finally call myself a New Yorker, since I’ve been coming to this place for about twenty years now. Maybe a small number compared to some of the veteran members who’s been coming to this classic spot for over many decades. Fell in love with this spot when I first moved here it was one of the first bars then my college buddies walked into.

Old pictures, wishbones on the chandelier, saw dust on the floor. Light or dark only, and the mustard. Everything about this place is so unique. Even after there’s so many years, I love walking into Spot whenever I’m in the neighborhood. It’s definitely the spot for me to bring visitors from out town.

My tip is get one and one get a small cracker  plate with cheese, yourself a bowl of chili,. I promise you won’t regret it.

One of the best places in New York. It feels like going back in time, with the owner being a type who tells the story of the pub. The beer, especially the dark one, is so good and the food is simple but very tasty. The prices are really cheap for the city standards so much so that we went there for two straight days. I suggest to take the chili because is really good.
