Min man och jag besökte Raines en tisdag kväll i februari 2020. Atmosfären i baren var riktigt cool och till skillnad från några av de andra recensionerna av Raines tyckte vi att vår servitris var mycket vänlig och kunnig. Vi har verkligen haft vår tid här. Vi bokade ett bord online före vår resa eftersom vi hade fått höra om möjliga väntetider för bord. Skulle definitivt rekommendera för en sval plats att ha några drinkar efter middagen.

Stor sena nattloungen. Personalen är vänlig och effektiv. Inredningen är klassisk snygg med soffor, gardiner, svag belysning etc. Stora mixologer fick mig ur min komfortzon, och jag tackar dem!

Om du funderar på att spendera tid och pengar på denna plats skulle jag uppmana dig att åka någon annanstans. Läs inte bara de högt rankade recensionerna, läs de dåliga, så får du en bättre bild av verkligheten på Raines. Personalen var oförskämd oförskämd. Vi fick höra att de inte kunde rymma ett parti större än sex. Vi berättade för dem att vi väntade oss att ytterligare två skulle gå med oss, totalt totalt sju, men det sjätte och det sjunde skulle troligen inte överlappa varandra. Med tanke på att vi betalade över $ 100 för sex drycker, borde de ha varit mycket tacksamma för vår verksamhet.

Vi kommer ALDRIG att gå tillbaka till Raines och varna alla TA-läsare att inte slösa bort din tid och pengar där. Det var hemskt.

Jag hade hört fantastiska saker om denna plats och var tvungen att se själv. Låt mig säga, det här stället lever upp till hype. Rains Law Room är en hemlig talang du definitivt vill söka.

Vi kom fram och sätta vårt namn på listan. Vi väntade en timme, inte illa för en fest på 3 på en helg. För att säkerställa att väntetiden inte var längre tillåte hostessen att vi hängde i ryggstången medan vi väntade på vårt bord.

Vi rusade tillbaka (kom dit i 10 minuter platt) kom till dörren och personen vid dörren berättade för oss att hon tog bort oss från listan. Hävdar vi var sent? Vi var 5 minuter tidigt?

Hittade via en Google-olycka på vår weekendresa till New York från Storbritannien och sitter väl på höger sida av den gimicky potential som dessa "speakeasy" -bommar kan ha.

Som sagt hade jag aldrig hört talas om speakeasy / förbudet baren före detta, och vi hittade resan ner till baren ganska spännande, inte veta vad som ska förväntas! Precis som en liten spoiler för andra skulle jag påpeka att baren ingången är källaren ingången till vänster om Chelsea inn / Hotel dörröppning via en dörrklocka.

Tjänsten var utmärkt och kunniga; fokuserar starkt på välgjorda cocktails och inställningen är mörk och intim.

Musiken var precis i rätt volym för att prata men inte så tyst att du kände dig självmedveten. Personalen hade spelat mestadels funk och själ av den typ som du får när Spotify spelar originalet av en sång du aldrig visste var ett omslag. . . George Clinton - atomhund etc. .

Vi bokade inte ett bord men fick en vid ankomsten förmodligen på grund av att New York är lite tyst efter nytt år? Det är litet och kan vara en vänta om det blev upptagen?

Cocktails inte billigt på $ 17 men verkligen, riktigt bra och du betalar för atmosfären och kvaliteten. . . inte en happy hour-sprutning.

Allt som allt en riktig oväntad behandling.

En överraskning efter att du har angett en slumpmässig dörr mitt i ett bostadsområde. Detta var var riktigt nice och tjänsten var stor med bra cocktail förslag. Stämningen var trevlig och tyst med en härlig atmosfär. Rekommendera definitivt om i staden

Det här är en Speak Easy, inte så lätt att hitta. Inga märken utanför baren. Du måste ringa och vänta på att någon ska öppna dörren. En gång i är detta en utmärkt plats att varva ner och njuta av högkvalitativa cocktails. Jag läste att du skulle behöva en reservation. Även på en onsdag kväll var baren packad. Så, om du planerar att komma dit, boka din plats i förväg.

Andra gången till Raines Law Room för drycker. Mycket cool atmosfär blandning av lokalbefolkningen och turister. Mycket trevlig hantverk cocktailmeny; ursprungliga koncoctions. Vacker miljö. Tyvärr hade vi inte tid för mer än en cocktail!

Vi stannade på Chelsea Inn intill (skulle inte rekommendera btw) och hitta speakeasy via bakdörren. Vilken oväntad överraskning. Vi anlände tidigt på kvällen när inte trångt så tre av oss kunde sitta från ett underbart par lokalbefolkningen som var mer än glada att dela rekommendationer av restauranger och saker att göra i närheten. Mörk, härlig liten plats, perfekt för små grupper av vänner eller en mer romantisk kväll. De curated dryckerna var läckra och prisvärda. Jag kommer definitivt tillbaka här nästa gång jag är i grannskapet.

Inredningen är perfekt för att skapa en resa till det förflutna och koppla av i en perfekt uppsättning speakeasy. Dryckerna är välgjorda och erbjuder förändringar för att njuta av cocktails från det förflutna med en modern känsla.

Raines Law Room har varit en av mina favorit NYC speakeasys att besöka under åren. Personalen är vänlig och inte pretentiös till skillnad från vissa platser. Det är vanligtvis lite vänta efter arbetstid när du ringer på dörrklockan. En gång inuti känner du verkligen att du har gått in i en annan era och är i en hemlig lägenhet med olaglig sprit.

Jag har äntligen stått i bakfältet oftare än inte, men har också fått en soffa på några besök. Att få en plats kan faktiskt vara mer besvärlig än att stå om du bara är två. Det enda sittet är soffor som vetter mot varandra. Förra gången satt jag över från några 20 somethings som gjorde det svårt att ignorera.

Tillbaka till det viktiga: spritet. Dricksmenyn här är oändlig. Det finns sidor med fantastiska ljudkonsoler för att du kan välja mellan separerade av tema (ljus, bourbonbaserat, blommigt etc) på $ 16 vardera. Det finns också en vin- och andelslista för dem som inte vill ha cocktails. Jag tror inte riktigt att du kan gå fel med någon cocktail här och för $ 16 du bättre inte.

Övergripande men denna plats är värt ett besök för de goda drinkarna och den övergripande unika atmosfären.
