The burger with au poivre sauce is the standout and must try. The sauce is delicious especially paired with the burger. The crab beignet was okay, the sauce was nice. The souffle  pancake was good and fluffy, great end to the meal.

This is an institution and a place I’ve been coming to every now and then for the past 20+ years. Quality never fails and the menu doesn’t change too much. My favorite is the steak au poivre, which I had the first time in 2003! Still going strong 💪

Prices are high, yes, but you leave full, happy and with a smile on your face.

I feel like Raoul’s has stepped up its game since the last time I visited. The steak frites was delicious and well priced for New York. I also really enjoyed the monkfish bouillabaisse and goats cheese salad. Service was also excellent sitting at the bar and the hostess was very accommodating for our walk in.

My reviews are based on my total experience and while I was really looking forward to eating at this iconic local gem I was very disappointed in the service. We had an early reservation and were seated on time and the restaurant filled quickly. It was crowded and loud, both good things.  The amount of time we waited to have our drink order taken was a little too long but eventually got drinks and they were great.  Food was delicious, as expected.  Tartare was great, the salad with it was tangy and perfect to cut the richness of the beef. Artichoke was very tender with a tangy dipping sauce. Im not used to it being served chilled and think I prefer hot but it was definitely worth ordering.  The dover sole was by far the best bite and worth the price.  It was cooked perfectly, tender, flaky and delicious. The hazelnuts added a hint of flavor and the perfect texture to keep the entree from being one note and the sauce would be amazing by itself. . Highly recommend trying it. The duck entree was also good but unfortunately undercooked based on our request.  Here is where the service issue comes in.  We would have liked to order wine for our meal but never had the opportunity. Our server did not come back to the table after he asked how we liked our appetizers. In addition he never stopped by to ask how our entrees were until the meal was over and his question was specific to the sole because I was debating on whether to order it. When our plates were cleared no one asked why half of the duck entree was not eaten.  These may seem like petty things but I feel they are a large part of the total experience.   The profiteroles were absolutely delicious and pouring the hot chocolate sauce at the table is a great touch. The coffee we ordered when we ordered dessert was not served until we had finished eating dessert.   I can’t finish without mentioning the bread. Sounds silly but it is a must order if you like good bread. Crusty, flaky and tender, absolutely one of the best breads I have eaten at a restaurant. The only thing that would have added to it was if some flaky sea salt was served with it to sprinkle on top. . Overall the food was absolutely delicious but unfortunately I got the feeling that if you are a regular you are treated well but if not they are just working on turning tables.   I will however come back again to sit at the bar and try the burger.

Raoul’s is a must for burger lovers! Get a reservation for brunch and order the burger. You will not be disappointed. The patty is perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle with bits of peppercorn in every bite. It’s served with fresh, dressed greens between two toasted buns with pepper gravy on the side to dip the burger in. I’ve never had anything like it — it’s unique and delicious. The burger comes with a good sized helping of fries. Service and ambience are also superb. Highly recommend!

Jag blev mycket besviken när Raouls vägrade att avstå från en avbokningsavgift på $ 150 utan att ge en bra anledning. Jag var tvungen att avboka en middag reservation för 3 morgonen på grund av en familjesjukdom. Trots att jag försökte kontakta restaurangen via e-post och telefon mer än 10 timmar före min bokning men fick inget svar, vägrade de att avstå från avbokningsavgiften. Det är tråkigt att se restauranger som Raoul’s utnyttja kunderna genom att ta ut höga avgifter av dem i situationer som denna trots att de sannolikt kunde fylla bokningen den kvällen och inte ådra sig några kostnader. Raouls, du kan bättre!

Förrätter var exceptionella, liksom servitörerna. Men båsbordet var väldigt trångt, obekvämt. Priset på vin är skyhögt. Personalen verkade vara instruerad att skynda på saker och ting för att vända bordet så snabbt som möjligt. Foie gras portionen var minimal speciellt för priset. Bakverket i profiteroles var gammalt vilket var en besvikelse.

Raoul’s levererar till sitt rykte och hype. Bästa biffen jag har ätit i staden hands down. Det är verkligen en allround superb upplevelse. Servicen är toppen, maten var utsökt, och atmosfären / vibe var speciell. Jag var särskilt imponerad av hur de hanterade min mejeriallergi - många restauranger av denna kaliber och stil skulle ha sagt ”kommer som det är” men i det här fallet erbjöd de såsen vid sidan av, och det var fortfarande enastående. Mycket imponerad!

Detta brukade vara en New York-institution men det har fallit i fällan av giriga, avgift - hungrig automatisering genom sin användning av Resy app och brist på mänsklig diskretion, som så många andra turistfällor. Min man och jag både självständigt frekventerar denna restaurang med kunder och medarbetare som vi reser till NYC ofta för arbete. Vi var i NYC i helgen med vår 3 - år - gamla dotter och hade en reservation för Raouls för söndag middag. På söndag morgon mycket tidigt, drog min man ryggen ut. Vid 07:00, avbokade jag vår söndag kväll middag reservation, nästan 11 timmar i förväg (deras politik är 12 timmar avbokning) . De debiterade mig $ 150 avbokningsavgift trots att jag skrev till dem förklara vad som hände, och även om de säkert fyllde tabellen med tanke på Resy anmäla listor de hade det för den kvällen. De har ingen kundlojalitet. Vi kommer inte att återvända, och min man kommer att få dem bort från sitt företags lista över rekommenderade restauranger att ta kunder.

Maten och servicen här är båda 5-stjärniga. Min dotter och var och en jag hade en biff och det var utsökt. Min fru hade COD och hon älskade det också. Servicen är 5-stjärnigt, uppmärksam utan att vara påträngande. 

På natten vi var där platsen var full av människor. Borden är mycket att stänga tillsammans och du känner att du äter med människorna vid bord runt omkring dig. 

Det är ganska dyrt men det är NYC.

Kom som arbetsgrupp, Ben var fantastisk, stor värd och mycket tillmötesgående, definitivt tillbaka. 
Gick verkligen utöver det vanliga för oss alla.

Vänligen hitta inte denna pärla, detta kast - tillbaka till den fantastiska grannskapet mat leder som överskrider trend. Maten är utmärkt, servicen är härlig och atmosfären gör att du vill stanna längre än du borde. Så snälla gör det inte svårare för mig att få ett bord.

Träffade några vänner för söndag lunch på Raoul's. Det faktum att deras berömda burgare nu lades till den vanliga menyn var tillräckligt incitament. 
Deras vinmeny är omfattande och erbjuder bra variation, tyvärr är det nästan omöjligt att hitta rimligt prissatt vin i NYC restauranger. 
Vi var riktigt hungriga och visste precis vad vi ville beställa. Vi hade blivit rekommenderade att få Frisee Sallad, Kronärtskocka, naturligtvis Burgare och Steak au Poivre. Vi lade till Schnitzel, som såg bra ut på menyn. 
Det var mycket mat men det var värt det. 
Salladen innehöll ett pocherat ägg och isterdon, utmärkt balans av ingredienser. Definitivt rekommendera det. Observera att Schnitzel levereras med en mycket lik sallad som en sida. 
Kronärtskockan var mycket enkel men välgjord. Dressingen dock. . . lite för äggig för min smak. 
Schnitzel var förmodligen måltidens stjärna. Perfekt tillagad, välgarnerad och mycket smakrik. 
Burgaren. . . hmmm. . . Jag är ledsen att säga att det bara var ok. Definitivt inget att skriva hem om. Så antingen hade kocken en dålig dag eller så är det inte vad det brukade vara men kontentan är... om du väljer Raouls bara för hamburgaren, tänk dig för! 
Steak Au Poivre var ordentligt tillagad, mycket välsmakande, såsen var utsökt och pommes frites var perfekt. Den är också definitivt värd det. 
Till efterrätt fick vi Profiterolerna... de var väldigt normala. Inte bra, inte dåligt. 
Sammantaget skulle jag definitivt gå tillbaka men kanske dricka husets vin och ta kronärtskocka och hamburgare ur min beställning. Och kanske välja en annan dessert.

Vid ett första besök på Raoul’s på rekommendation av många, vet vi verkligen inte vad allt ståhej handlar om? ! ? 

Etableringen är mycket energisk på nivån av en rockkonsert som inte kan höra sig själv tänka i kombination med alltför trånga livliga omgivningar och ackompanjerad av solid, kapabel och uppmärksam service. Tyvärr var köket i bästa fall mycket bra och mitt i en provtagning var bara ”vattenmelonsalladen” exceptionell, medan den berömda ”steak poivre” i bästa fall var mitt i. Värt att notera, crème brûlée-öknen var extraordinär, men med tanke på omgivningarna inte värdig en återgång engagemang.

Jag har inte varit här på några år det är lika bra som någonsin det är en elektrisk atmosfär här som är oöverträffad. Det kanske inte är i Paris men det är sant New York, men ändå exploderar med fransk lysraket.

Maten är knappt genomsnittliga och servicen är oförskämd och långsam. Över - hypad och inte värt något av det. Verkade mest som turister och - gäng advokatbyrå studenter ute för en natt av underhållning. Hard pass.

Även om maten är bra i bästa fall är jag inte säker på att den långa väntan, oförskämd personal och utmanande matupplevelse är värt det. 

Vi ville prova något unikt på en väns födelsedag och blev rekommenderade att komma hit för hamburgaren. Så vi köade tidigt för att skriva ner våra namn. De serverar bara 20 hamburgare per kväll, bara i baren, och baren har bara 8 platser. 

Vi visste att det skulle bli en lång väntan, men vi var irriterade över att se matgästerna i baren dröja kvar och beställa en ny omgång drinkar, istället för att låta restaurangen omsätta borden snabbare för att sitta de andra som väntar på att äta. Vi hade ett samtal och skämtade om matsalsetikett, som ”hej, läs rummet, ta dina drinkar till loungen på övervåningen.” Lite visste vi, personalen skulle tjuvlyssna på vårt samtal och ta det ett steg längre. 

Så fort vi satt oss stormade ledningen över och skällde ut oss som om vi var barn om att svära. Det är en sak om vi var oförskämda mot andra matgäster eller mot personalen, visst, 100 % sparkar ut oss, men i ett gruppsamtal? Tydligen, INGEN FÖRBANNELSE TILLÅTEN, även i dina gruppkonversationer. Jag trodde vi gick in genom dörrarna till restaurangen och transporterades ut ur New York City. 

Gör knapphet något värdefullt? Om du har tid och tålamod kan du också prova det. Förhoppningsvis har du en bättre upplevelse än oss.

Ett ord: Perfektion... från den entusiastiska hälsning och boende av vår begäran om ett utomhusbord av Karine
till den utsökta maten. Kvällens höjdpunkt var vår fantastiska server, Naomi, som var så personlig, hjälpsam med vår beställning och en glädje. 
Nämnde vi att natten var perfekt? Ett stort födelsedagsfirande!

Jag tog min fru med på restaurangen vi gick till vårt första datum.

När vi försökte beställa var torsken det enda fiskalternativet kvar på menyn efter att de slutade på den andra (klockan 20? Kom igen). Lite val då. . . och kocken på frågan vägrade att göra det utan chorizo. Jag vill inte spekulera om deras skäl, särskilt eftersom de lyckades blockera mitt första försök att granska.

Men faktiskt hade jag en dålig upplevelse på grund av fel placerad okännedom (de borde ha rymt oss när de slutade på de andra fiskarna). Som ett resultat kunde jag inte ha någon av två förrätter jag ville beställa.

Jag hade goda minnen från denna plats från femton år sedan men planerar inte att någonsin gå tillbaka.

Stämningen är underbar och maten var helt enkelt utsökt. Det är old school italienska! Jag hade biff och pommes frites - anbud och smakfullt!
