Absolute must for pizza & good energy! Our hostess Betty was the best & got us a fantastic seat. Pizzas are the perfect crust & their vodka sauce on the rigatoni was sublime. Great atmosphere.

Comfortable and casual pizza restaurant and bar in West Village.

We visited on a weekday for Happy Hour between 4 PM and 6 PM. There was a line just before 4, but the staff quickly seated everyone. They have a specific Happy Hour menu for both food and drinks. We tried the spritz and margherita pizza. The spritz could have been a bit more flavourful, so we switched to white wine, which was a better choice for us at the end. The pizza was excellent, baked in true Italian style. Since the pizzas are smaller than typical NYC sizes, you might want to order 1.5 or 2 per person. We weren’t very hungry, so 1 per person was just right for us.

The service was faster than expected, and the outdoor seating is lovely on summer days. The indoor space is also beautifully decorated. I can’t wait to be back in Manhattan for another Happy Hour session here!

Came to Roey's with a group of former coworkers to catch up. Even though I didn't love my last job, I mf loved the people there. It's important to keep up with people from your past, not only because they are good people, but you never know where they will be in 5-10 years. Unless absolutely necessary, you should never burn a bridge. Just my 2 cents tho.

The group of 6 of us came into Roey's and were seated at the big table in the middle. I got a glass of Montepulciano, which I recently learned how to pronounce with a slight Italian accent. I really just order it because I feel beast pronouncing it.

We ended up ordering garlic knots, brussel sprouts, and 4 pizzas. You could see them making the pizzas right there in front of you with the open kitchen and a woodfire oven in the back. Few things get me going like a woodfire pizza oven.

We got the following pizzas: Margherita, Il Macellaio (pep & sausage), Soppressata (Italian salami & fennel honey), and the Mushroom & Spinach Pizza.

The top performer was easily that Soppressata. The italian salami, calabrian chili, and fennel honey worked well together like the 2004 Detroit Pistons.

The lowlight was the Mushroom & Spinach pizza, as I really don't like mushrooms or spinach which I chalked up to a personal preference. But, it was the only pizza that didn't get completely finished, which is how you know it was middy-wap.

The pizzas, other than the Margherita, were all above $20 a piece and weren't the biggest pizzas ever. I easily could have demolished one myself. Probably 2.

All in all, a great place for a group dinner but idk if I'll make it back.

My favorite place in NYC. I went here for happy hour. Super friendly and helpful staff. They served me within 10 minutes, excellent spritz and the pizza was the best I had in NYC (I say this as a Neapolitan). I will recommend it to all my friends who come here, I hope to return soon. ✨

They have good Happy Hour food and a good price! The pizza was really good! It's not big but it's good to share 2 people.
