Food 9/10
Wow. Every single piece of shabu shabu blew my mind away. We had A5 Miyazaki wagyu + wagyushu (?) from the US, paired with different types of sauces and flavors that really brought out each piece. The A5 was so light and soft, instantly melting in my mouth, yet didn’t feel excessively fatty. I really enjoyed the eggplant appetizer as well, even though I don’t like eggplant at all. The fried lotus had a solid crunch and mix of seasoning, but it wasn’t my favorite, while the duck salad was a bit bland. Nevertheless, the stars of the show were the wagyu pieces, cooked just right in the boiling water. My favorite might be the first A5 piece dipped in soba sauce, very simple and straight to the point. Other highlights included the wagyu with uni as well as the sesame sauce and homemade soba.

Wow! My friend made a reservation to this spot. She had heard of it from social media. I had no idea what I was about to experience. But wow…this meal did not disappoint. That first bite of the waygu beef blew my mind….the courses that followed after were all amazing and delicious ways to eat waygu beef and pork. If you like Japanese Shabu Shabu you will love this little gem of a spot as it is Shabu at its finest.

Upscale shabushabu that you must try at least once (but do note, they had B sanitary inspection rating when I had visited)

Main meats were pork, miyazaki wagyu, and washugyu, with different sauces and combinations + some palette cleansing pieces in between. Loved every single item we were served, with a very strong final dessert - sesame icecream (which I would buy tubs of, in a heartbeat if they ever sold it!!!)

Take note:
- They will cook everything for you, and so you will be served in small omakase plated style
- Drink selection is great and pairs really nicely with the food
- If you’re used to salty, strong seasoned food, you may find this too “delicate” or bland. But it was perfect for me, and what I think Japanese shabushabu should be like. Felt like the good, fresh ingredients were respected and well prepared.
- With the portion as well, it’s perfect for an average sized person. Super full for smaller asian female, satisfied full for large asian male.
