The Grey Dog is a neighborhood stalwart which is part American bistro, coffee shop and diner. Good food in a kitschy setting with friendly service. Both indoor/outdoor seating. Our server Adeline was terrific. We ordered take out. She brought us water and seated us at the counter while we waited.

We ordered the Grey Dog Club and the Breakfast Bowl. Both were delicious and well prepared. The club was served on toasted sourdough with generous portions of turkey, thick cut bacon, cheese and shoestring fries. The Breakfast Bowl had soft scrambled eggs, avocado and sourdough toast.

After a friend and visited the Christmas Village in Union Square we wanted to get out of the cold rain and grab some appetizers. Doing a quick Google search discovered this little, but yet welcoming restaurant. They had a great happy hour menu, with food that wasn’t only tasty but also filling. The service wasn’t too much or too little, right on the nose.
Will certainly return!

Very cozy atmosphere with friendly service

Got the crispy chicken bowl and the chicken was properly crispy while still being nice and juicy. The black beans were especially creamy and delicious. Was great with the spicy sauce.

Delicious and healthy New American cuisine in the Union Square area. My friend and I stopped here, and within minutes, we got a table outdoors despite the crowd. The servers are wonderful. Food came out less than fifteen minutes after we placed our orders. The items on the menu are light, healthy, wholesome, and filling. (The server even joked that he had once eaten the Mexican bowl nearly every day for months.) Prices here are also in a good range. A wonderful brunch, and I would come here again.

Delicious Burger! We were able to benefit from happy hour drink prices! They apparently have couple locations! This was the one I’ve been to.
