The Grey Dog is a neighborhood stalwart which is part American bistro, coffee shop and diner. Good food in a kitschy setting with friendly service. Both indoor/outdoor seating. Our server Adeline was terrific. We ordered take out. She brought us water and seated us at the counter while we waited.

We ordered the Grey Dog Club and the Breakfast Bowl. Both were delicious and well prepared. The club was served on toasted sourdough with generous portions of turkey, thick cut bacon, cheese and shoestring fries. The Breakfast Bowl had soft scrambled eggs, avocado and sourdough toast.

After a friend and visited the Christmas Village in Union Square we wanted to get out of the cold rain and grab some appetizers. Doing a quick Google search discovered this little, but yet welcoming restaurant. They had a great happy hour menu, with food that wasn’t only tasty but also filling. The service wasn’t too much or too little, right on the nose.
Will certainly return!

Very cozy atmosphere with friendly service

Got the crispy chicken bowl and the chicken was properly crispy while still being nice and juicy. The black beans were especially creamy and delicious. Was great with the spicy sauce.

Delicious and healthy New American cuisine in the Union Square area. My friend and I stopped here, and within minutes, we got a table outdoors despite the crowd. The servers are wonderful. Food came out less than fifteen minutes after we placed our orders. The items on the menu are light, healthy, wholesome, and filling. (The server even joked that he had once eaten the Mexican bowl nearly every day for months.) Prices here are also in a good range. A wonderful brunch, and I would come here again.

Ännu ett av våra slumpartade fynd! Vi var hungriga, det var nära, det hade bra recensioner... och vi gick. Det är tätt packat - - så tätt det var nästan obekvämt, men servicen var vänlig och snabb, maten exceptionell, atmosfären lite kaotisk - - men njutbar, och priset ganska rimligt. 
Min fru plockade en ägg- och ostcroissant med hemgjorda pommes frites; jag gick för den mexikanska skålen med chipotle kyckling. Båda var bra måltider lämnar oss väl - nöjda. De serverade en god blandning av kaffe - - som verkade vara av deras eget märke (jag skulle ha köpt några att ta med hem om jag hade tänkt på det i tid för att fråga. ) 
Chansen är stor att om vi är på Union Square igen, kommer vi inte att leta efter en annan plats; vi kommer att återvända dit.

Åh, och hem pommes frites var oätliga och dök upp och smakade som frysta tatertotter!

Det är svårt att välja ut en kvalitet ovanför den andra. . . bra atmosfär. . . jättebra service . . . bra mat (kanske de bästa pannkakorna jag någonsin har haft!). Vi var överlägset de äldsta människorna där. . . det är en ung New Yorker-hangout. . . men vi fick känna oss bekväma och välkomna. Det är mycket "eklektiskt" (i vår tid skulle vi ha sagt "funky" men jag vet inte vad det nuvarande uttrycket är!) I dekor. . . och bara mycket roligt. Grundligt åtnjöt upplevelsen. Om du letar efter vita dukar etc. så är detta inte för dig. . . det är kul! Bra ställe att besöka på en lördag morgon.

Jag stannade på en regnig dag efter ett besök i The Strand bokhandeln. Hund älskare kommer att uppskatta de nyckfulla hundens målningar. Även om det var upptagen, i motsats till några av de andra granskarna hittade jag personalen välkomna och tjänsten var inte långsam alls. East Village hipster plats med god kvalitet komfort mat som är ganska prissatt. Funky utrymme med hjälpsam personal. Sittplatsen kan vara tätt på baksidan.

Detta är en rolig och riktigt bra plats för lunch. Ja, du måste vänta (inga reservationer), men efter att du har beställt och sitter, visas alla snabbt. Menyn är utmärkt, och personalen har en äkta (sällsynt i NYC) känner till dem. Inredningen är quirky i extrema. Väl värt ett besök här!

Vi snubblat över denna plats som går från NYU till Union Square. Det är en liten plats där du beställer på räknaren och personalen tar din måltid ut till dig. Det verkar som en populär plats för studenter! Du kan också beställa cocktails, öl och vin som är en fin touch!

Jag hade dagens soppa som var en kyckling köttbulle som var utsökt. Min man fick kyckling pesto smörgås som också var mycket bra!
