The Surrey has always been our favorite boutique hotel in NYC.... everything is first class. From being greeted professionally at the door with a big smile by men like Julio Morales, you get the sense from the entire team that you are home. I highly recommend this hotel.

Our experience at The Surrey was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we entered the doors we felt welcomed and at home. The entire staff made it a point to know who we were, and we were greeted by name at each interaction. Whenever the staff could find a way to enhance our overall experience, they did so without hesitation. This ranged from a complimentary shoe shine when I mentioned I was in town for a wedding, to having a printed out list of the best pizza in the area when I casually said I was in the mood for a slice. This level of hospitality is rare, and it was refreshing to see it alive and thriving at The Surrey. We will always remember this trip, not just because of the amazing hotel, but because of the way the staff made us feel. Couple this with the unmatched design and spacious rooms, and I cannot wait to go back. I can't recommend this property more highly.

The Surrey is the home away from home in Upper East New York. Clean, elegant, in a great location away from the chaos. Delightful staff, attentive to customers and always smiling. Elegant uniforms, tasteful details. The rooms are spacious equipped with every comfort, you can relax in the hotel''s spa or recover your energy in the gym with terrace. Little tidbit: one of the best and coolest Italian restaurants in town awaits you on the ground floor. Italian's word!

Our family has stayed at The Surrey for years and it saddens me to say I would not recommend the new Surrey. Some rooms are still under construction so we woke up to noise every morning and it stayed around most of the day. The restaurant and bar are really nice but not owned by hotel so they have very little influence getting hotel guests in. No familiar faces. The rooms are really nice and the bed linens are exceptional.

Outstanding hotel and service. Best feature is the concierge team. Harold Mootz, Daniel Perez, Carlos Morales and Johannes Schoafsma were superb. They personalize your care. Their personalities are delightful! The entire team makes the hotel!! Also outstanding were the team at the door. I believe William and Julio were their names. Simona Maniaci, Director Global Sales, took amazing care of us as well.
