I met colleagues at Vestry for a business dinner and we were blown away by the food and service. We all tried the tasting menu which started with oysters and included the tortellini and the short rib. The wine pairing included rare and unique finds, and the wine director Aidan had a background story to go with each pairing. Will definitely come back. Thanks for taking care of us Reuben!

Food overall is pretty decent, the potato Ravioli would have been the best dish if it weren’t there was a single tiny little piece of spices that was hard to chew on. The appetizer Sea-bass was quite good, the smoked chicken skin was crispy enough while the meat is still tender,but it was tasteless by itself, you have to eat it together with the mash potatoes or the peas. Portion wise is your standard Michelin restaurant portion so they are a bit small in American standard but this way you get to try out different dishes. Service wise it was acceptable but not really good enough for a fine dining restaurant (e.g. they lack of the explanation of chef’s recommendation on how to eat the dishes, they are not observant enough etc) Music was a bit too loud and the music choice (hip hop, R&B, Pop)not sure it matches the restaurant. Cocktail wise it was a bit watery. The Riesling wine was not bad.

A guaranteed 10/10 every single time. From appetizer to dessert, the team behind Vestry will blow your mind with their magic. The ambience of the restaurant is note worthy as well, as you can tell that there was thought put into every inch of the space. The vibe is intimate, perfect for both date nights and group dinners. For a Michelin Star restaurant, I expected better quality of service and food.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was dark, yet cozy, but the music was loud and the song selection didn’t suit the ambience. Certain fixtures were attached with command hooks, which takes away from the high end feel in my opinion. The staff were also continuously moving furniture around our table while we were dining.

The staff checked on our table multiple times and was very attentive to our needs but their attention to detail could be improved. My silverware had food residue on it, my water glass was refilled with sparking water instead of still, and I kept stepping on food under the table from previous customers.

Our table all ordered off the Restaurant Week menu. The drinks were amazing and the food presentation was spectacular. The timing between courses was great, enough time to have a conversation but not feel like you are waiting forever for your next plate. The food looked better than it tasted. We found most of the courses to be unusually sweet. None of the dishes were anything impressive in terms of taste.

Overall, I don’t think it is worth the price to dine here. It was an interesting experience but unfortunately not one I would repeat again.
