Our friends suggested this little gem of a restaurant and boy are we glad they did! The restaurant is intimate, warm and charming. The hostess was professional, friendly and welcoming.
The wine list is impressive. We asked for a recommendation and they offered us tastes of three different bottles. We have never experienced this type of generosity in NYC when ordering wine.
We ordered the octopus appetizer, which was out of this world, and the black pasta with seafood, which was the best pasta dish we have had in NYC in over a year. Our friends ordered the octopus appetizer and were equally delighted. They ordered the salmon and said it was outstanding.
The waitstaff was great. They are knowledgeable, accommodating and willing to respond to any question we had. Don’t hesitate to ask your waiter to tell the story about the owner, her passion for wine and dedication to bring a great restaurant to her childhood neighborhood.
We hate recommending this restaurant to others because we do not want the competition when we return! But in fairness everyone should know about this delightful little gem.

Food has been on point since they opened ways back, the regular dishes like the ragu and octopus continue to be killer, as does the house bread. Management and service are always on point - one of the few places around the neighborhood that has a true place in my heart. Highly recommended for events or a nice dinner alone at the bar. My wine friends also think very highly of the list, but great cocktails too.

They were very welcoming our server was very nice and the food decent. I went for happy hour I wasn't impressed with their happy hour menu but overall the place had a nice vibe.

Arrived here early this Saturday morning. Was surprised and happy to see a ton of outdoor seating options. Picked a heated pod to dine in. Service was okay, the waiter came out pretty infrequently but more frequently as we came in to request things.

I had the orange saffron pancakes which i thought were quite good. My girlfriend had the shrimp polenta, which was a bit under-seasoned.

Things took a turn for the worst when she bit into a shrimp, chewed and immediately spit it out. It wasn’t cooked, she went inside to tell the waiter what was wrong and was told to come back in two hours when the manager was there, by an older woman dining? V strange experience.

I’ve had exceptional takeout from here and was excited to dine in but unfortunately my girl now has food poisoning and I’m spending my only day off this week with her in urgent care/the bathroom 😵‍💫.

(Just an update, they have since then apologized profusely and actually refunded all of the food that day)

Came here with a group of 3 and had a reservation so it was easy to get seated immediately.

Good:
- Omg the free bread was great - focaccia bread
- Good intimate dinner vibes
- The food all came out so quick!
- Polenta fries were amazin, good crispy texture
- Mushroom appetizers were savory and sweet
- Ragu was tasty and very well portioned

Bad
- it’s on the expensive side

Overall I’d come again! This place was impressive in vibes and in service

Vi fyra åt middag vid ett bord utanför. Det är ett utmärkt läge och maten är enastående. Vi delade polentaklistermärken och stekt calamari som förrätt, och åt sedan olika pasta och förrätter. Varje rätt var intressant och mumsig. Det är en av mina favoritrestauranger i stan.

Vi har åkt hit i flera år, så här är några tips. Vi bokar alltid även på långsamma nätter där vi anger var vi vill sitta. Vi får alltid det bord vi vill ha. Det visar hur utmärkt tjänsten är här. Maten är alltid tonhöjd - perfekt, och de har en utmärkt cocktail- och vinlista. Musiken är fantastisk - vanligtvis något retro som disco men aldrig ostliknande. Platsen har en vänlig atmosfär som är cool och avslappnad.

Denna restaurang kom med fantastiska recensioner online och mina döttrar och jag förväntade oss ivrigt ett besök för att smaka på maten. Vi var glada att gå och klädde oss för det. Affärer var utmärkt på lördagskvällen, såväl som i restaurangen. Vi leddes till vårt bord och fick vänta i nästan 15 minuter utan ens ett glas vatten. Två av oss hade Black Spaghetti förberedda med bläckfisk, Bay Scallops, PEI-musslor, Grana Padang och Breadcrumbs, $ 22. 00. En av oss har en glutenallergi som restaurangen var mer än glad att rymma med maträtten Rosemary Pappardell Lamb Rag och Fresh Ricotta, för 20 dollar. 00. Portionerna är i europeiska portioner, men för $ 6. 00 mer per fat kan du få större portioner. Det var en riktigt bra upplevelse i en relativt rymlig och tyst restaurang, klockan 7 på en lördagskväll.

Vinateria har blivit en vanlig stadsdel matsal plats. Har en jämn kvalitet och förberedelse samt service. Älskar den rostade kycklingen och specialen har alltid varit utsökt. Också prova bläckfisk och pasta. . fantastisk!

Njut av en fantastisk middagsmatsal ute efter en regnig dag. Bekvämt uteservering skyddad av markiser. En födelsedagsmiddag med mitt 4 månader gamla barnbarn slöts när han sov för oss. Tjänsten var utmärkt och mat toppar. Vi alla åtnjöt calamari aptitretare. Vi hade kammusslor som var perfekt gjort och också en saftig välsmakande kjolbiff. . Åh brödet var också extremt bra.

Detta har blivit en av våra nya platser som ligger i vår restaurangrotation. Utsökt mat med bra atmosfär (kan vara högt ibland). Personalen är alltid bra. Sommaren har också sittplatser utomhus. Happy hour, brunch, eftermiddagsdrycker, middag. . .

Vi drog långt uptown att ha brunch med en familjegrupp och vi blev inte besvikna. Det fanns flera andra grupper som åtnjuter brunch och de var mycket tillmötesgående för folk med små barn. En barnstol var tillgänglig och de var inte upprörd när de tvååriga besökarna fick gå runt. Faktum är att det fanns 2 tvååringar i restaurangen den morgonen!
Menyn är ganska varierad så det finns något för alla från franska toast för barn och stora barn till ägg Benedict till Shakshuka till grits med svamp till biff och potatis och mer som jag inte kommer ihåg. Vi var alla nöjda med vad vi beställde. Tjänsten var utmärkt.
Vi skulle återvända till denna restaurang när vi återvänder till New York.

Jag besökte Vinateria efter det rekommenderades många gånger och jag blev mycket besviken.

Menyn låter bra, men köket saknar märket.
Välkommen brödplattan ser utsökt ut, men vid första biten försvann det intrycket. Krummen var torr utan att bita eller tugga på den. På samma sätt beställde vi den speciella platta, och när den kom fram till oss kunde jag berätta från skorpans utseende att det skulle bli en besvikelse. Skorpan hade ingen uppkomst och ingen färg. Ovanpå det var det super fet. Det var toppat med persikor, vilket låter fantastiskt, men de var fortfarande alltför svåra och omärda och borde ha varit broiled (eller liknande) för att mjukna upp dem och få lite smak.

Det verkliga problemet var dock tjänsten. Utsidan sittplatser var fulla och vi satt i den närmaste - tomma matsalen. Inte ett problem, förutom att vi ignorerades medan området utanför var fullt bemannat och alla bord servas ständigt.

Jag trodde kanske att de var underbemannade, men då skulle ägaren / chefen ha haft sina ögon på alla diners, men hans fokus var på utsidan. Det var så dåligt att ingen av servrarna till och med vände sina huvuden mot oss när vi gick förbi oss till utsidan / tillbaka inuti i köket och vi var tvungna att ropa till någon att begära salt.
Vår server kontrollerade aldrig på oss under vår måltid efter maten togs.

Vi var mycket imponerade av god mat, trevlig vinlista, vänlig service och en hälsning från ägaren - alltid en fin touch.
