This is some of the best Asian cuisine I’ve had in a long time! Every dish we ordered was outstanding, as were the cocktails. I highly recommend it. My personal favorite was the street food-style Singapore noodles and black pepper prawns.

My friend and I are delighted to discover WAU, where, for her birthday celebration, we aimed to enjoy authentic and spicy South East Asian culinary delights. Our debut order consisted of Hainanese Chicken Rice, Peranakan Laksa, Iconic Kuay Teow and Savory Donuts. We were impressed by how every dish could stand out in terms of richness and balance in flavor. You will be challenged to pick a favorite! The well executed garnish and sauces assigned to every dish added immense visual impact. We could not resist ordering the Coconut Pandan Tiramisu and Lychee Rose Crème Brûlée to accompany our drinks - Butterfly Lychee Lemonade 8 and Royal Chakri. These additions offered so much eye candy we took some time to take pictures before devouring them. The servers were collectively attentive, enthusiastic and quick to respond to guests’ requests. We had a wonderful time. WAU definitely has successfully staked its place as where our colleagues, family and friends can expect New York City to deliver outstanding Malaysian and Singaporean signature favorites. Specially where demanding diners can expect ourselves to walk out belly, belly happy! Lucky us and thank you, WAU 🙏😋🍽️

This place is to DIE for. In America there are not many Malaysian or south East Asian restaurants and it was such a delight to find this one. I was like a child happily content eating the delicious dishes. The roti canai was super flavorful bursting with aurora. The roti is flaky and incredibly delicious. We got the nasi pandan and wow! It HIT the spot. The service was great! One of my favorites in NYC

I went for restaurant week and both the service and food were really great. Restaurant week was 3 courses plus a cocktail. For the price I wish they would’ve offer more options from the menu or put more of the most ordered items on the menu even if it was in a smaller portion (e.g., roti canal, rendang beef, red curry). However the portions were nice and I ended up having leftovers. Overall would come back again just to try some of their curry dishes.

Side note for the owners. Please fix your tip calculation to not include taxes. Thank you 🙂.
