This is the best kept secret at Essex Market… but I hope not for long because the food is amazing and should be enjoyed.  I’ve had the chicken merguez and the beef stew sandwich.  Can’t speak to much else because the beef stew sandwich is perfect every time so it’s become the go-to order.  Very friendly and hard-working staff.  Unfortunately, their spot in the market is not ideal as they are all the way in the back from main entrance in a corner.  However, that does mean there’s usually no line or wait… for now.  Highly recommend!

We loved the stew beef pita sandwich, the cauliflower was good too, just a bit under seasoned but overall a good experience.
A little advice for the owner: I wouldn’t leave the display dishes in open air, the food dries and looks less appealing after a certain time!

If you love Moroccan food this is the place for you!! Tried the appetizer trio, lamb tangine, chicken tangine, lentil soup! You really can't go wrong with any of these choices !! All were hearty and delicious! Don't forget to try the mint tea!

All I can say is wow! Zerza is like walking into your mother’s kitchen and getting a big hug. Food is favorful and portions are quite generous. I tried the chicken tfaya and the cauliflower. Definitely worth a visit!

Vi åt lunch här. Det är ett stånd/försäljare inne på Essex Market. Vi åt en lammburgare (12 dollar) och en falafelsmörgås (10 dollar). Båda var mycket trevligt. Vi skulle gå tillbaka. Lite segt gör de dem som du beställer dem. Bra värde.

Korvsmörgåsen var bäst. Kofta tvåa och Beef Curry trea. Om jag skulle gå igen, skulle jag få korv smörgåsen. Jag fann priserna branta men jag får att hyrorna måste vara höga och det är det enda sättet att överleva. Alternativet att göra smörgåsarna kryddigare bör vara där, antingen med såser eller paprika. Vissa av oss kan hantera kryddor och icke-kryddade smörgåsar kan förstöra upplevelsen.

Vi var ganska glada när vi granskade Zerza's on-line menyer - en mellanöstern och en mexikan, men vår erfarenhet föll kort. För att vara rättvis var atmosfären utmärkt, tjänsten exceptionell och maten och dryckerna båda mycket välsmakande. God mat i en matrestaurang på 100% marockansk stil skapar en kvällsupplevelse som inte kan slå denna sida av Atlanten. Hoppas återvända en dag. Njut av!

Vi hittade denna restaurang på en lista över de "5 bästa marockanska restauranger i NYC", utgiven av en TV-station i staden. Det gjorde mig inte besviken! Atmosfären är definitivt marockanska, från ljuskällor till musik. Menyn innehåller en mängd olika tagine. Vi provade kyckling med bevarade citron- och oliver och kyckling med grönsaker, både serveras med couscous. De var lika bra som vi minns från våra marockanska semester ett par år sedan. Vi var lite besviken över att de inte hade stekt auberginen eller olive tallrikar på menyn, men de hade harira och utsökt hummus. Priserna är mycket rimliga priser, särskilt för NYC - vår räkning för två personer var mindre än $60, och vi ville inte promenad bort hungrig. Skulle definitivt återvända.

Vi åt på Zerza och var till en början förtjusta i den svala underground atmosfär. Musiken är bra och designen får dig att känna dig som om man är hängde i morroco. Hade såsom lammlägg tagine, som känner sig rätt från benet. All mat, inklusive den varma flourless chokladkaka görs färska. Vi åkte till Zerza eftersom vi var försonande ett erbjudande från Amazon Lokala. Kvarterskrogarna var fullsatt, men vi var de enda som i restaurangen när vi visade upp vid 08:00. Det var det första dåligt tecken. Vi satt utanför, vilket var trevligt. Vi beställde den salta köttbullar och en beställning av pilgrimsmusslor. Vi var oroliga att maten skulle vara hemskt, men blev positivt överraskade. Maten var bra. Riktigt välbalanserad kryddor med fin värme på slutet. Och husets vin (Syrah) var också mycket bra. Mitt förslag till dem skulle vara att utbilda servispersonal om kundservice. De två människor som väntade på oss aldrig gjort ögonkontakt och ville inte säga två ord trots att vi har försökt att koppla in dem. Vår middag var bara en transaktion, vilket verkligen påverkat upplevelsen. Det är så illa, men jag kan förstå varför de kämpar.

Platsen är inte mycket att titta på, men maten och magdansös kompenserar det. Åkte med några vänner, i början var vi väldigt tveksamma, men när vi kom överrens det, det var fantastiskt. The cigar förrätt var yummyyy!!! Sammantaget maten var mycket bra.

Vi åt där under vår vecka i New York under Thanksgiving Middag och kunde inte ha varit mer nöjda. Maten var god, stämningen var inbjudande och dämpad så vi kunde faktiskt ha en konversation utan skriker på varandra och servicepersonalen var professionell och ivrig att vara tillags. Jag kommer definitivt att åka tillbaka nästa gång jag är i New York.

Med försökte förgäves att hitta en tabell på flera kritikerrosade ställen i byn på en lördag kväll, var vi lite oroliga när Zerza sade de kunde rymma oss så lätt. Ångest visat sig vara ogrundade. Vi började med en utmärkt harira soppa och sedan flyttade till lamm tagine gjort med mandel och torkad frukt och en bastilla - båda mycket smakrik. $28 för en flaska rött (franska) huset verkade rimlig, liksom de andra priserna. Tabellerna fylls senare men ljudnivån var godtagbart och vänlig service.
