Highly recommend the Le Club drink! Great place to celebrate my birthday with a friend, they made it special :)

Love the cozy atmosphere, there was plenty of indoor seating on a Thursday around 6:30pm.

Our waitress was very friendly and gave great recs. I would definitely come back.

Probably one of my new favorite spots to get mole in NYC. All the dishes here were delicious and the cocktails were very unique. We only ordered one entree, one appetizer, and two cocktails but the bill was quite expensive as a warning beforehand. Will definitely come back to try out other mole dishes but nothing else on the menu really stood out. Would recommend if you’ve been thinking about stopping by however.

This was my 2nd time coming here, 1st time was one month ago. Always want to explore some good restaurants in Gowanus, Claro is definitely on the list!
For Appetizer we ordered:
1.Ensalada De Tomate: basically tomato salad but way beyond salad, the cheese is so good.
2.Aguachile de Melones: scallop!! So spicy but so good, can't stop!! Yummmmm

Shrimp quesadilla( which is my favorite)
Enmolada: chicken, wrapped in a tortilla, with mole sauce,  good choice for today!!

Friendly staff, nice restaurant.
Definitely will come back again and again.

I could wax poetic about how Claro represents all that is right with Mexican fine dining, but I have a headache and it's too hot and tomorrow is a school night, so TL;DR: This place deserves the hype and you should go.

- Aquachile de Fresa: Actually spicy. Enjoyably spicy. Authentically spicy. Loaded with fresh strawberries, though they tended to overwhelm the other flavors a bit.

- Tostada de Atún: Gorgeous, fresh, loaded with plenty of tuna. The kind of dish I think of when I fantasize about Mexican seafood. And I fantasize about that quite a bit.

- Mela de María Sabina: If you're a mushroom lover, this shroom bomb over perfectly made, fluffy tortilla will have you sobbing with joy.

- Tacos de Tinga: Turkey is the meat base you never knew would make perfect tacos. And now the secret is out, thanks to Claro. Your mouth will positively tinga-le (haha) for these.

- Mole Verde: Bright, citrusy and full of well-seared fish and well-grilled veggies. Delightful.

- Mole Rojo: Smokey, slightly sweet, but with a roasted quail that melts in your mouth.

- Chocolate Mole Cake: Lava cake, this is not, so don't dismiss it as such. This is light the solid, fluffy form of a perfectly spiced Mexican hot chocolate. I am awarding it the highest compliment an Asian person can give for a dessert: "Not too sweet".

- Tamales Dulces: Sweet tamales. What a concept! Like the sweet zongzi I grew up with, but with corn! This was flavorful and unique. Just get it.

We added some Frijoles Oaxaqueños to our meal, but we shouldn't have, as the portion was huge (not complaining) and a bit salty after a while. Wish it had come served with rice.

For imbibing, we opted for alcohol-free and got the Hibiscus Allspice Agua Fresca, which was fantastic, and the Monstruo de Agua, which was bland and flavorless.

Easily one of the Top 10 meals I've had this year.
