I’ve wanted to come here for years. I have many of Isa’s cookbooks. This place did not disappoint. Everything I had was amazing- ice cream, shrooms and grits, mac and shews. Tried the dinner and brunch menus on two occasions during my visit to NYC. I can’t wait to come back. The service is also top tier. Such a cute place as well.

I ordered this for delivery, and the food was top notch! Loved the Buffalo Mac & Shews and the Seitan Hot Honee sandwich. I also got the peanut butter shake, and was very impressed. Can't wait to try more of what they have, going to dine in next time.

Modern Love is where I’d love to call home. If I’m ever lost, just look first to see if I’m at Modern Love. I love it here. Everything about it. I don’t eat meat, so I’m always obsessed with the opportunity to have… EVERYTHING on a menu.

Came here on a Friday night, my boyfriend and our 2 friends. One of our friends is gluten free, like super duper gluten free, so we appreciated the added measure that Modern Love cooks every gluten free item in separate fryers. They really assured her about that detail.

The layout of the restaurant is sleek and inviting, kind of like open floor plan and communal but dimly lit enough to feel sexy.

EVERYTHING on the menu is unbelievable. When I ate meat, one of my fav things were buffalo wings 💅🏼 and Modern Love has scratched the itch, folks. The seitan wings are ummm… unreal. GF friends, the cauliflower wings are also 10/10.

Don’t even get me started on the chicken parm hero. It’s actually against the law how good this is.

I’ve been here now 4 times and it is always a hit. Obviously I’ll be back :)

I first became aware of Isa's recipes through my mother and her own cooking while she used Isa's recipes as a resource in widening our options for vegetarian meals at home. This recent trip to New York was my first opportunity to eat at Modern Love, and I enjoyed it so much that I ate there for three meals.

My first time there was for dinner and my server Ashley took time to recommend the Hot Honee Chicken Sandwich. The sandwich had an incredible sweet flavor with just enough spice and was balanced perfectly with coleslaw as well as pickled jalapeños. The fries were as crispy as I could have hoped for as well. I also had a non-alcoholic Old Fashioned that impressed me beyond any expectations possible.

Utilizing vegetables, plant-based proteins (i.e. tofu or seitan), and a variety of seasonings; Modern Love offers a varied menu of options that will thrill people whether they are vegan or not. I will gladly be back to Modern Love any time I'm in Brooklyn and the staff all made a great team.
