Oxalis was such a seamless dining experience! I celebrated my birthday here today and I am so glad I made the right choice. I got the prix fixe menu at the enclosed outdoor space. I was concerned it would be chilly but it felt cozy. We were welcomed by a warm note and a surprise welcome drink on the house. Nothing from the menu felt out of place and the cocktails were also very delicious (I wish I had richer vocabulary because I am not doing them justice). The appetizer was my favorite. Sourdough is out of this world. My friends all agreed it was one of THE best bread we’ve had in our lives. I appreciated that the main dish was not overwhelmingly heavy—but by the end of our course I was still happily full. Our server was very attentive as well. I will definitely revisit!

The atmosphere is nice and welcoming. The service is phenomenal. Sadie our server was awesome! As for the food its very creative and innovative especially the squash dish however i think some of the dishes did not have a good balance of flavors. Also Don’t miss out on the non- alchoholic beverage pairing! i’ve been to many Michelin but this was a first to me. They did an amazing job.

Outstanding experience overall. We did the 4 course bar menu prix fixe.

The service is some of the best I’ve ever had (our waitress was super knowledgeable and kind, and for my birthday they wrote a note and brought us a mini cake). The food was mostly excellent (some just good, like the halibut) - especially the baked goods like the garlic panisse and the mushroom kabob was one of the most unique/best dishes we’ve ever had. Also props to them for a bespoke non-alcoholic drink menu.

Oxalis' interior design is gorgeous––luxurious but very warm and green.
Bread and butter was very nice.
We had everything on the menu that day.
I'd say the potato pave, the escarole, and the flounder appetizers were good, but a little bit simple and I thought the flavors could be stronger for the green sauce of the potato pave and the escarole. Stars of the night were the main dishes: rib chop and black bass. Both were great.
The desserts were interesting. I didn't love them but the citrus tart was nice and the chocolate mousse has a weird texture––it seems like it was taken out of the fridge as the icing was immovable.

Absolutely amazing brunch. This is how a Michelin brunch should be. Everything was amazing from the eggs to the maitake mushrooms. Overall the meal was a take on a diy breakfast taco with eggs, beans and corn. We did an add on of the mushrooms and it was a wonderful call. The family style portions may seem large when they arrive, but it was not too big where we were stuffed afterwards. If anything we wanted more of the savory course because it was truly that good. My partner even said shes mad it wouldn’t be the same menu every week because she wants it again(the brunch changes every week). The sweet course was good. Wasn’t as good as the savory, but still good with this yogurt and mixed fruit bowl. And once again we did an add on, this time a chocolate chip brioche(needed more chocolate). Will definitely be back to see what more they have in store. Be it brunch or dinner.

Oxalis hade sin spritlicens dagen vi besökte och kunde ännu inte servera något vin, vilket var synd eftersom jag tror att ett glas eller två skulle ha förbättrat en utmärkt måltid längre - även om alkoholfria cocktails var intressanta.

Vi hade $ 60 provsmakning menyn, som inkluderade kammusslor gjort i en slags ceviche, öring, anka och en härlig citron pudding. Det fanns sex officiella kurser plus extra förrätter på huset. Kurserna serverades en i taget och var varje en härlig händelse. Varje förberedelse inkluderade en sorts speciell sås och en kombination av kryddor som skulle vara svårt att föreställa sig på egen hand. Öppningsuppgiften var "unga morötter och kamille, med potatis, bayleaf och nori. Den andra kursen gjordes med härdade kammusslor, finskivad rädisor och äpple och en ljus marinade av miso, limejuice, röd och grön äppeljuice och thailändsk chili. "Svamppotten - au-Feu" tog in fyra olika svampar i en rik men lätt buljong av rostad lök och (valfritt för vegetarianer) med köttbenmärg. "Farro och Brassicas" gjordes med Conte-ost, spenat, bröstspiror , alla toppade med kale chips. Den sista officiella kursen den natten var en liten bit anka med sötpotatis, fikon och yoghurt. Däremot fanns det en överraskning av ytterligare Fluke-förberedelser i en komplexsås. Den schemalagda efterrättskursen var en liten skiva getost ost toppad med honung med en touch timjan. Men de två bonusökenkurserna verkade ännu mer spektakulära, om det är möjligt. Den första var en kaffe smaksatt cream cheese-glass över en säng av hemlagade graham cracker crumbs. Och den slutgiltiga förgyllningen av liljan var en liten chokladtryffel uppflugen mellan två tunna köksskivor, vardera belagda i mörk choklad.
Delarna av varje kurs var naturligtvis blygsamma - det var en provsmakning - som bara uppmuntrade oss att utforska var och en av de komplexa smakerna.
När vi var där väntade Oxalis ivrigt på sin spritlicens. En av innehavarna är mixologen. Han har tydligt studerat konsten och förenar smakkataten hos en erfaren kock och en skrämmande uppfinningsrik barkeep. Vad han gav natten vi var där var en kurs av drycker som kompletterar varje disk och de var spektakulära. Bland våra favoriter var kokosnötvatten med lime Verjus. Vi missade knappast gin i en non-alcoholic Gin and Tonic. Min personliga favorit var Chervil cider med champagne syra. När alkoholhaltiga ingredienser tas in inom en snar framtid, kommer utbudet av drycker troligen att glädja varje pall och överraska även den mest erfarna imbiber.
Detta är inte en restaurang för Dennys folkmassa. Detta är för uppmärksamma och sensuella nöjen. En bekväm kväll på Oxalis kommer att ge sanna foodies något att fantasera om i veckor. Perfekt för en romantisk kväll med människor som man minns.
