There is just so much more care in everything they do at this restaurant….We felt extremely special being guests at this restaurant. Well, we felt like what we are - part of the neighbourhood community. Everyone was so attentive. Tony in particular is an icon! We were there for a late lunch. I had the watermelon mojito and it was made with fresh watermelon. The bartender checked in personally whether I liked it or not. It’s so rare for such great service to occur! My cocktail had a perfect level of alcohol, freshness and sweetness. The food was interesting but not in a way that it is fussy. It just felt healthy and made with an absolute sense of care that you felt in every bite. The individual tastes of the varied ingredients were exquisite. You could tell that the owner personally developed the bread recipe. The air holes and bounciness of the bread were to be admired! The octopus and seared calamari left me waking up this morning with a wish to go back for dinner right this evening. Oh, I should mention that we also had a delicious gluten free clam pasta and a great mixed salad. It’s the combination of exquisite homemade food made with love and sprinkled with care that should make you want to go there.

Very nice restaurant with wonderful, atmosphere, food and service.  Very expensive, no red wines by the glass under $30.  Huge bread service.  Pastas were amazing, fettuccines, one with squid ink and three types of fish the other veal ragu both exquisite. Caprese salad excellent.

Came to celebrate an occasion and this choice did not disappoint. The extensive menu and list of specials were impressive,  leaving me to choose between multiple interesting options. Moreover, the new age, contemporary decor was eclectic and exciting, in this traditional setting. Don’t skip the dessert. An extremely impressive institution with incredibly kind and knowledgeable staff.

Food was fresh, but very average. Service was fantastic, but for the price point, I wouldn’t return. There are so many great Italian spots in NYC that are creative with the menu in ways that don’t compromise on flavor profile.

A fancy restaurant near Met. It's somewhat expensive but worth the money . The restaurant has a cozy ambience and excellent dishes. Make sure to listen to Wilson's cooking description of the day. He is a handsome manager. Especially "grilled octopus" is so delicious. As much as I'll go back to New York to eat this dish. By the way, Carabaggio is the name of a famous painter.

Wow! Jag har gått förbi det här stället många gånger. Jag önskar att jag hade börjat besöka för flera år sedan! Vi stannade på ett infall för lunch, och var förvånad över maten och servicen. Varje maträtt "sjungit" - inte en blindgångare i gänget. Den massiva listan över dagliga specialerbjudanden (engagerade i minnet av vår utmärkta server) återspeglade våren när den var som bäst. Vi kan inte vänta med att återvända.

Fantastiskt ställe att se miljardärer från New York! Vi såg till och med Louis Bofferding där! Fantastiskt att se en av New Yorks rikaste miljardärer äta där Den riktiga Louis Bofferding!

Som tur var fick vi ett sista minuten-bord i baren igår kväll. 
Vi är italienare och har bokstavligen ätit italiensk mat över hela världen förutom att laga några mycket goda saker hemma. 
Detta var en utmärkt matupplevelse. 
Vår servitör var professionell, kunnig, hjälpsam och vänlig. Mycket ofta i italienska restauranger får du attityd men inte från honom. 
Min fru ville ha en rödbetssallad och spagetti med musslor i röd sås. Menyn erbjöd det i vit sås. Mycket ofta besvaras denna förfrågan med omöjligt. Hans svar var inga problem. Jag ville ha en halv beställning av en pasta som förrätt men när jag sa att jag skulle beställa kalv Milanese föreslog han att det var en stor förrätt och jag kanske skulle klara mig bättre med en mindre förrätt. Jag valde burrata och prosciutto. 
Vi gillar verkligen vin och de har ett oöverträffat vinutbud. Boken var enorm. När vi äter på italienska restauranger dricker vi italienskt vin. Det minskade bokens storlek. Vi dricker uteslutande rött vin och jag bestämde att det skulle bli en Barolo och de hade 5 sidor med olika årgångar. Till slut valde jag ut ett underbart 2009 som förvarades i perfekt temperatur och var utsökt. 
Min fru njöt av sin betsallad. Burrata och prosciutto var utmärkt. 
Hennes spagetti och musslor kom i en stor skål fylld med musslor. Jag visste genast att hon aldrig skulle avsluta det. Hon åt alla musslor och lite spagetti som hon sa var perfekt tillagad. 
Min kalv Milanese tog upp hela tallriken. Den hade en generös portion svart tryffel. Det var helt utsökt. Jag var så glad att jag inte beställde pastaförrätten och tackade vår server. Jag är en storätare men kunde bara inte äta upp det och bara lämna lite på tallriken. Jag var helt klar med middagen. 
Servern kom och frågade om desert. Jag skulle säga nej tills han sa att de hade en chokladsufflé. Det är nog min favoritefterrätt och en som sällan görs på en italiensk restaurang så självklart beställde jag den. Den kom ut och var en perfekt mörk chokladsufflé helt utsökt! Min fru hatar choklad så hon åt citroncello. 
Utmärkt mat, underbart vin och bra service kommer alla till ett pris särskilt i New York. Gå inte ut på en trevlig restaurang äta och dricka sedan klaga på kostnaden bara njuta av det. 
Detta är en underbar restaurang där du kommer att ha en utmärkt matupplevelse.

Mycket UES. Om du letar efter en äkta italiensk middag, gå inte dit. Men om du letar efter en sofistikerad, elegant och mysig middag är detta ett bra ställe att gå till. Var redo att spendera minst $ 500 för middag med en medelpris flaska vin och ingen dessert. Vi älskar det.

Hade inte varit i Caravaggio på ett par år och haft goda minnen från tidigare middagar. Naturligtvis är inställningen alltid vacker, vilket återspeglar årets säsong. Tabellerna är tillräckligt långt ifrån varandra så att samtal kan höras. Tjänsten var enastående. Den här kvällen som inte var upptagen var middagen en besvikelse, särskilt den dåligt beredda svärdfisken. Ändå kommer att återvända och ge dem en ny chans

Vi åt här när de först öppnade och blev besvikna - så besvikna att vi inte återvände i flera år. Vid det här tillfället bjöd en kompis mig till middag och han valde restaurangen och talade mycket om den - så gick jag naturligtvis. Kan såväl som aldrig varit där - restaurang återstår när jag minns (även från Marc Strausmann-dagarna) men tjänsten är prototypisk exklusiv NY italiensk (vad det än betyder) - menyn mer universell än italiensk men rötterna visar och maten är suverän i beredning och smak. Fantastisk vinlista - STOR UPPLEVNING

Jag har haft nöjet att äta på Caravaggio flera gånger, men det här är det första jag lägger fram en recension. Inte bara är maten otroligt bra, men tjänsten är spektakulär. Jag gillar verkligen hur det alltid finns någon i närheten eller mycket nära borden och det är lätt att be om vad du behöver.
